Reborn: The Tyrant's Obsession

Chapter 366: Drag her out

Yet, ironically enough, Ella found it tougher to walk to him at this moment. Even though she had never feared him before.

"Did they send the new food for me?" The man questioned, his tone laidback, "Just serve it here. This young master can’t starve himself anymore..."

Adrian trailed off the moment he turned around and spotted Ella standing near the door, "It’s you again."

Ella pressed her lips together.

Adrian tilted his head to the side, "Come here."

Adrian had said these two words countless times before but every time, his voice would be commanding, almost like a child’s who wouldn’t have it any other way.

But this time, he called her over in doubt as if he was not sure whether she would walk to him or not. And it did not matter either.

Ella walked towards the hospital bed, a burning sensation spread in her eyes as she met his gaze.

"You seem quite upset," Adrian remarked, letting out a helpless sigh, "Is it because I scolded you?"

Ella did not respond but her eyes reddened.

Adrian quirked a brow, "You are probably new at this job and hence inexperienced. But, let me tell you this. You are not supposed to address this young master by name..."

"Adrian..."

A vein twitched on Adrian’s forehead.

"Adrian," Ella repeated again, a drop of tear trickling down her cheeks, "Do you really not remember anything?"

"Remember what exactly?" Adrian paused.

"You... and me... Us..." Ella couldn’t formulate a single word as she stuttered.

Adrian’s eyes narrowed, "Ronan told me I have forgotten a couple of things but I don’t see how that is related to you. Are you trying to take advantage...?"

"You were conscious yesterday, weren’t you? You even blinked..." Ella burst into tears as she said it.

She had bared her heart open in front of this man last night. In both her lives, she had lived with restraint yet yesterday, she hadn’t held back while confessing to Adrian.

Yet...

"You were listening to me, weren’t you?" She asked in a whisper.

Adrian paused, a few images flashed by his mind but they passed before he could grasp onto them.

His head throbbed mildly and a dull ache spread across his chest.

"Who are you?" Adrian narrowed his eyes at Ella, "Why do you make this young master feel so weird?"

Ella wiped her tears, "I... am your wife."

Adrian paused, visibly stunned.

But after a moment of silence, he burst into laughter.

The man’s handsome face looked almost ethereal when he laughed.

When he stopped laughing, he raised a hand to wipe the tear from the corner of his eyes, "If you are done joking, scram."

"Adrian..."

"Do I look like I’m joking?" Adrian smirked, "Ronan!"

The hospital door opened and Ronan and Kade rushed inside.

"Drag her out," Adrian pointed to Ella.

Ronan and Kade fell speechless.

"What? Do you think this young master is not injured enough?"

"But brother, she..."

Adrian rolled his eyes at Kade, "Don’t call me brother if you have decided to act like my enemy."

"E-Enemy?" Kade nearly toppled over. He would have to eat the liver of a bear to grow guts to be his enemy, did he really not see that?

"I have been telling you to keep your affairs clean since you took over the business. But see..." Adrian pointed at Ella, "Your affairs have now started affecting your brother’s life."

"M-My a-a-affair...?" Kade did not dare utter another word as he pointed at Ella. Did he eat the heart of a leopard that he will have an affair like this? Did he look that brave?

"This lady claims to be my wife. If it’s not your doing, what is it?" Adrian frowned, "This young master has chosen a quiet life, far from the attraction of money and women. As the CEO of King Empires, you should also mind your affairs lest they start affecting your family like this."

"Brother, I know I have been a playboy, a jerk even. It’s all my fault but she... Wait! CEO of what?" Kade staggered a few steps back.

Ronan closed his eyes.

"Who did you say is the CEO of King Empires?!" Kade looked like he had seen a ghost.

"I had an accident yet it seems like it has impacted your head. Now, you are forgetting your identity..." Adrian looked at Ella, "And the messes you have created."

"I’m not a mess," Ella said calmly, her voice way more composed than before.

All the three men in the room looked at her.

Ronan wanted to say something but Ella was beating faster as she spoke.

"Even if I’m a mess, I’m your mess. Not his," Ella stepped closer to Adrian.

Adrian’s eyes widened slightly, a hint of disbelief crossing them, "You have the audacity to claim you’re my..."

"Wife," Ella bit her bottom lips indignantly, "I’m your wife. So, don’t you dare claim I’m somebody else’s mess."

Adrian’s face turned cold, his icy eyes cutting to Ronan and Kade, "You hear that? What are you standing there watching us for? Drag her out!"

When the man shouted, Ronan and Kade finally moved but before they could even approach Ella, Ella turned to them.

Her eyes turned cold as her lips moved, "You dare?"

Ronan and Kade stilled in their spots.

Ella turned to look at Adrian, a myriad of emotions flashing in her eyes. She opened her mouth to say something but her nose burned.

Tears welled up in her eyes. She had spent a lifetime wishing Adrian would let go of her.

Why was it that god listened to her wish when she did not want it anymore?

As he saw the tears in her eyes, Adrian’s fingers twitched. A dull ache consumed his chest. The feeling was so subtle that one would miss it if they did not pay attention to it.

Adrian opened his mouth to say something. But before he could utter a word, Ella closed her eyes and sucked a deep breath.

When she opened her eyes again, they were no longer clouded by tears.

Without a word, she turned around and left the hospital room.

"Are you fine?" Ronan walked to Adrian.

"Who is she?" Adrian scowled as he turned to Kade.
