Kade shivered in his spot.

"When you took over the King Empires, what did this Young Master advise you?"

Kade wanted to cry but no tears came out of his eyes. He had been crying tears of blood ever since the accident took place.

His tears had dried up completely yet his heart was screaming in agony.

If not for Ronan’s gaze, Kade would have stepped forward and questioned his brother: Look at my face, do I look like I can become the CEO?

But apparently, his current brother could no longer read the room. Because very self-righteously, Adrian continued speaking, "I asked you to take care of your private affairs."

Slender fingers gently parted the curtains and tied, letting the morning sun stream inside the dark room.

On the bed, Ella flinched. Her long eyelashes cast shadows along her face for a moment before her entire face was covered in a pillow, "Let me sleep some more, Adrian... I’m tired..."

"Ella..." A feminine voice reverberated in the room.

Lying on the bed, Ella stiffened for a moment. She removed the pillow from her face and opened her eyes.

Ruby’s face greeted her view.

"Did you have a nightmare again?"

Ella shook her head and sat up on the bed, observing her surroundings. It took her a moment to remember that she was no longer living in the Eve Mansion.

After that day in the hospital, she had returned to her apartment to stay with Ruby.

"I had a dream yesterday..."

For two weeks constantly, the nightmares kept shifting Ella between the tragedies of her previous life and that major accident that took place almost a month ago.

"Is it?" Ruby got up from the bed and grabbed the comb before she walked behind Ella. As she combed Ella’s hair, she asked, "What did you dream of?"

This question did not need to be asked because the answer was obvious. But Ruby probably sensed that Ella needed to let it out.

Ella propped her chin on her raised knees as she closed her eyes, "Of all the good times with him," Of the times when Adrian was clingier than a child.

"Ella..."

"He can dream about forgetting me, Ruby," Ella suddenly said as she straightened up.

In the previous life, Adrian made sure Ella could not forget him even in her death.

"In this life, I will ensure he remembers me," A flash of determination crossed her eyes.

Ruby frowned, concerned etched between her brows as she tied Ella’s hair in a neat bun, "I’m worried you are up to nothing good. Just don’t get yourself in trouble."

Before Ella could say anything, Ruby continued, "And whatever you are planning, it has to wait till you have fully recovered."

"Of course, especially today. It’s your big day," Ella’s face brightened as she turned to Ruby, "I haven’t forgotten the big occasion. Are you ready to be dolled up by your top stylist tonight?"

Ruby chuckled, "Yes, your highness."

In the ballroom grand five star hotel.

The evening was star-studded: Glamorous chandeliers hung from the ceilings and golden strings sparkled under the light.

The ballroom was filled with top stars of the entertainment industries. From directors to businessmen, people of all fields graced the place.

Although the event was not as grand-scaled as the events of top elites, it could not be underestimated. From the perspective of newbies, it was a huge opportunity for a breakthrough even if they caught any director’s eye for a moment.

"You clearly hit the jackpot this time, Director Wang."

"Ah, you are clearly overpraising, CEO Chen."

"My son graduated with her," One woman swirled the wine in her glass, "She is indeed a famous figure in the Imperial University, even her friendships are talked about."

Some people exchanged a gaze of understanding while the others looked a little confused.
