Chapter 60: Making Plans part 3
"Then what’s the second way?" Quadoris asked.
"Well, that’s where Hexorin comes into play. Hexorin, I believe, can induce darkness, right?" Aric asked, and Hexorin nodded.
"Then for the small distance around the area of the moat, I want you to induce as much darkness as possible, but you won’t do this until the enemies are near the moat, maybe fifty meters away.
They will be shrouded in darkness, and their instincts would be to either go forward or turn back, but we aren’t letting them turn back.
Before the battle begins, we will have all the goblins hidden up in trees and underground, waiting, and when the darkness is induced, the goblins will come out.
Not to fight, but to scare—hitting their swords against their shields, shooting arrows into the air. The havoc from behind will lead the goblins to believe it is an ambush from behind, hopefully.
That should drive them to run forward. No one wants to fight in the dark, and they’ll run into the moat as planned, and that will be it.
The aim of the plan will be to ensure that we try to keep them as alive as possible, so we are playing this safe," Aric said.
"I would like to add something. I feel there is an aspect where my help can be used," Octa spoke.
"What’s it, then?" Aric asked.
