Building a World Class Empire in another World

Chapter 61: Digging the moat

Andrew stepped forward as he was called, a young man standing at well over six feet, with a good muscular build. He looked athletic yet very jacked. He had very low black hair and black eyes. The only unique feature on him was the scar that went from below his ear down to his chin.

He was clad in a black shirt and black pants, every ask loose; the closer were, his muscles peeked through.

"Yes, sir," Andrew said, his deep-sounding voice matching the energy he portrayed.

"Great," the old man said and turned to Robert. "Inform the Baron that the duel is ready."

Robert nodded and rushed into the building. He stayed in for a few minutes, then came out with Baron Fredrick following behind.

The Baron was no longer in his armor but rather a simple shirt that he had worn underneath and the trousers that he had worn inside.

He walked to the training field, and all the men bowed their heads to him. He walked to the center and faced Andrew, who also bowed his head.

"I’ll bring the wooden swords," Robert said and was about to go fetch the swords for the duel.

"Why wooden? A duel can’t have the energy it needs unless there is a threat of death looming above your head.

The feeling that not blocking one attack would cost you your life is a very good motivation to fight like you mean it," Fredrick said.
