Chapter 24: Building the wall Part 2
The goblins went on to start digging the foundation, with Ron, Lucas, and Gunam leading the ten that were digging. The last fifteen goblins stood with Aric, ready for the wood to start moving out.
Aric got the tools ready and started working on the planks. He got to it, and a few seconds later, he had already cut up the first log—exactly ten feet tall. Three goblins picked up the plank that Aric cut up and started heading in the direction of the ones digging.
They got to the end of the foundation, and the first goblins had actually made good progress in a short time.
The three goblins placed the plank onto the ground, making sure it stood well—three feet into the ground and seven feet above ground.
This process continued, with Aric making the planks, the goblins taking them, and placing them into the foundation that had been dug. He was quite shocked at the speed that they were moving at.
He thought that they would not be able to move fast without Ariel, but he was wrong. In less than an hour, they had covered two hundred meters—only fifty meters were left before they had finished planting that first side.
Suddenly, Aric heard a loud scream from inside the house. He dropped his tools immediately and dashed toward the house.
He pushed the door open and saw Ariel standing there, looking at the young lady who was at the corner of the room, screaming and trembling.
Aric walked behind Ariel. He placed his hand on her shoulder. "What's happening?" he asked.
"Well, she just woke up, and unluckily for her, the first thing she saw was an elf," Ariel said.
