Building a World Class Empire in another World

Chapter 25: Building the wall Part 3

"I said calm the fuck down," he barked at her.

She kept struggling, but her movements started getting slow. Aric felt like he was winning this, but then another burst of wind sent him flying off her back. He landed roughly and rolled on the ground before coming to a stop.

"Fuck, I thought you had to use words to cast," Aric complained and got up to his feet. He looked at the lady; she was breathing heavily, her chest heaving up and down, her arms extended like a beast.

"Talk about a crazy panic attack. What did these damn goblins do to her?" Aric asked. He didn't charge in again this time.

It looked like their little back and forth had really dug into her energy. She was tired and slowly calming down. He started approaching her with slow and steady steps, his hands raised to show he meant no harm.

"I understand that goblins hurt you, but these ones are not those ones. They are mine. I'm a tamer; I tamed them. Look at them, they were just working," Aric said in a calm and clear voice.

The lady slowly looked around, and indeed, the goblins had been working, but she still didn't want to accept that. She hated goblins. They took her away and put her through hell.

They also killed her teammates. All goblins deserved to die. She looked at Aric and spoke. "It doesn't matter. All goblins deserve to die for what they did," she yelled.

"Let's not be hasty to pass judgment now," Aric said while still approaching. "You can't put the sin of some on the heads of many. Many people kill, right? Then does that mean all humans should be killed?" Aric asked, trying to reason with her.

She didn't have a response to what he asked. It made sense to her, but she didn't want to let down. Her fear refused to allow her.
