Chapter 29: Kiss
"My babies, vacation is up! Pack your things. Your grandpa is already missing the two of you." Lanny called the attention of Kimmy and Aaron who were playing in the living room.
Lanny and Athena agreed to let the kids accompany them in Country M for two days before going back to their home.
Besides, Athena didn’t want Aaron to stay in York City for so long because he might cross paths with Dominique Smith.
"Mama! Can’t we extend here for another three days? I haven’t visited the tourist spots of the city yet!" Kimmy pouted her lips, pressing her palms together as she pleaded with her mother.
Aaron also gazed up, putting on a puppy-eyed look. "Please say yes, Mama. I still want to stay here with both of you." Aaron cast a glance at Athena.
Lanny turned to Vladimir and Athena, asking for their help. The two children teamed up against her. It was two versus one. She couldn’t possibly refuse them because of their charms.
Vladimir narrowed his eyes as he approached the kids. With his authoritative voice, he spoke to them. "The old man is going to make a fuss if you don’t go back. Don’t be a burden to your mother and Aunt Athena. They have some work to do."
"I hate you, Uncle Vlad! You are so bad!" Kimmy dashed in Vladimir’s direction to punch him, but he just blocked her forehead using his palm, maintaining the distance between them. Kimmy’s lousy punches couldn’t even reach Vladimir’s body, yet she kept swinging her small fists.
Aaron could only sigh as he watched Kimmy and Vladimir. "Uncle Vlad is so savage... not even treating us like a kid."
"Because he is jealous of my charming babies!" Lanny blurted out, emitting a soft giggle while staring at Athena meaningfully. She was aware that Vladimir was jealous of the two kids for stealing Athena’s attention.
