Athena was at a loss for words. She could feel Vladimir’s sincerity in offering her his help. She appreciated it.
However, Vladimir’s method of seeking revenge was different from what she wanted. This man standing behind her could be as brutal and merciless as the devil... according to Lanny.
’My brother can annihilate the Williams Family in just one command and torture your ex-husband and his mistress to death if you ask for his help.’ This was Lanny’s warning to Athena.
Athena didn’t want to resort to violence.
"I haven’t heard your story yet. But I’m willing to share your burden," Vladimir added amidst her silence.
Athena finally freed herself from his embrace as she turned around to face him. "Thanks, V. You and Lanny had done so much for me. I’ve always relied on both of you. And I don’t know how I can repay your kindness."
"Don’t worry, V. If I were in trouble, I’d immediately ask for your help. Will you protect me?" Vladimir’s protectiveness reminded her of Enzo, her missing elder brother.
"Of course, I will. As long as I’m here, no one can hurt you. I give you my word," Vladimir responded with conviction.
"I’m so glad to hear that. Once I’m ready and have enough courage... I will tell you my past..." Athena smiled faintly, concealing her pain.
"I will wait..."
