Chapter 30: Vanilla
Lanny was busy paying their orders when Kimmy suddenly tugged the hem of her shirt.
"Mama! Look! Aunt Athena is kissing a handsome stranger in a black suit!" Kimmy blurted out, catching her mother’s attention.
"What?!" Lanny didn’t want to believe it, thinking her daughter was just making a joke. But the moment she turned around, her jaw dropped upon seeing the scene.
"Holy Shit! Why is the jerk here?!" Lanny gasped in surprise.
"Mama! Don’t speak bad words!" Kimmy scolded her.
’Little girl! That’s not the main concern here!’ Lanny realized the situation. Her eyes immediately scanned the place, looking for Aaron. She spotted him just a few meters away from Athena and Dominique.
Aaron stood silently in his spot, holding his ice cream while staring at Dominique and Athena with a puzzled look in his eyes.
"Time to leave! Keep the change!" Lanny moved swiftly, holding Kimmy’s hand as she pulled her towards Aaron. Upon reaching Aaron’s spot, she quickly grabbed her wrist, dragging him with her.
She seized the chance that Dominique was still distracted by Athena’s kiss as they walked past them, stepping out of the store.
"My Babies, get inside the car now!" Lanny commanded the children.
