Ivy jumped in surprise when a short honk rang in the parking space. She turned her head curiously, furrowing her brows as she squinted her eyes at the black sedan parked several steps from her vantage point. When a person got out of the driver’s seat, her tense expression relaxed.
"I should’ve known it was you," she said, turning on her heel to face Tiger. "It’s been a while."
"It has been," Tiger shrugged nonchalantly, stopping two steps from her. "What are you doing here?"
"I have to talk to Axel about something," she kept her answer short and vague. "How about you? What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be escorting Dominic?"
"How did you know that?"
"Heaven mentioned it in passing," she smiled. "It’s the same for Mr. Zhang. Now, not only he would care for the company, but the entire country."
Tiger scrunched up his face a little at the mention of Dane. It was true that when Dominic stepped down from his position in the Lyon Group, Dane also sent his resignation letter. The man chose to follow Dominic. It was the same for some in the CEO’s office. They chose to work for Dominic instead of staying in the company and assisting Axel.
"Please tell me if you’re going to talk about him, so I’d know if I will walk you in or go on my own," he remarked, making her chuckle.
"Can’t you see my hair?" she asked, flipping her short hair that was two inches above her shoulder. "I’m a little closer to moving on. Work and everything helped me take some things off my mind."
