The Amazing White-Spider

It's been about a week since the Long family have come back from their family trip with their little additional member, aka Mia, and have been trying their best to get readjusted to this messed-up city as best they can from their feeling of freedom that came with camping in nature.

Jake was just trying his best to get back his powers, as at some point he managed to come back in control of his body, maybe because of Mia constantly being around him, or maybe it was her constant attempts to kill or at least harm him, but somehow, he's back...

But Ekaj has yet to come back along with his overall abilities, as the only ones he had access to were for some reason the same as Spider-Woman, and that's about it, which includes his ability to make his suit at will.

Jake under his breath: "Gonna need to know how to sow me a suit."

Haley: "Why?"

Jake: "Hm? Why what?"

Haley: "Why would you need to make a suit?"

Jake: "Eh, (rubs Haley's head like a dog) just something I was thinking about since you never know when you may need to sow something."

Jake laughed, knowing full well that he just lied to his sister, which hurt a little since she seemed to trust and look up to him the most, but what could he do? Even if he's only been the White-Spider for about six months, he's already made plenty of enemies. That and also White-Spider eats people, among other vaguely illegal things that the public may or may not know he's done.

Haley knew Jake was lying to her, as she's been with him for so long that she could tell immediately when he's lying. But it wasn't even that hard, as he had a classic tell, which was him hiding his hands behind his back and rubbing them like he had a rash.

But she just ignored it, as she figured whatever real reason he wanted to know or figure out was for a good enough cause that he'd go out of his way to learn something that doesn't really matter all that much unless you're going to invest a lot of time in it.

The parents were just happy that they're kids, or rather their daughter, made a new friend along with being able to camp out for once like they promised, as they city didn't catch itself in some kind of massive world-ending event or terrorist threat.

Jake went off to his room and looked through everything he could find and began using the trench coat he... "found" from a local store during the symbiote wars, and instead of just letting it go to waste as he waits for the heat to die down, Jake cuts it up a bit so that he could have a stylish outer layer for his suit.

Now the problem came with all the other colours, but since Jake wasn't planning on mastering anything to do with sowing and only wanted to make a suit that was at least semi-decent enough to hide his identity along with not dying from any of the physical stuff, he was more than fine with it.

So, he just got his outfit that came with it and sowed the cut-up trench coat bits on the outer layer while also getting an old ski mask and some bits of random white fabric he managed to find, along with adding a hoodie to it since if he's going to look weird, he might as well go all out.

The gloves were just very basic, as he had plenty of them to go around thanks to his mother going through them, as she wants to look pretty and live in New York, where all these fancy events almost always get ruined or destroyed by some super villain attack or another world-ending event.

Cutting up some ruined black and white gloves and placing them on a good enough glove that fit him better than the rest, he completed his terrible-looking gloves, but they felt nice and covered his hands, but not enough that they blocked his web shooting ability or wall crawling.

Jake: "Okay, so my outfit looks ugly as sin, and if I saw this coming at me from any direction in the dead of night or even during daylight hours, I'd scream for the police, as I'd think it's a serial killer or someone drunk or high. But this is the best I'm going to get!"

Then Jake thought back on his statement and imagined what Ekaj would say or even not say that just made him rethink going for the crazed killer look, and after taking a picture, Jake went off somewhere private and burnt it all to the ground so there's nothing left of its existence.

Jake: "Going out for a while!"

He screams to his family as he rushes out of the door and tries his best to swing, but after either missing or hitting almost every wall, lamp, A/C unit, water tower, and just about anything that could come his way, Jake decided it was probably better to walk till he gets the hang of it.

Once at the Parker house, Jake sees Penny just getting home, and while she seems scared of him for some reason, she still lets him inside her house, and the two (after a little awkward encounter with Aunt May making jokes about the two dating) head up to her room.

Now that they're in a good enough place with semi-privacy, Jake shows Penny his outfit, and after an hour of her laughing and making fun of him, Jake is thankful; he decides to destroy his outfit instead of wearing it.

Penny walks to her closet and digs through her drawers for an old outfit she made that was perfect for what Jake wanted, as it was made to go against the Purple Man, as she was doing some covert ops thing as she helped the Avengers save all the hostages he had so they could actually fight and take him down.

While it did give Jake a figure, he was more worried about when the heck Penny took part in this mission? Since they have about the same figure, give or take a few additions to certain areas the other lacks.

Penny refused to say anything about what she had to do or even when the mission took place since even if their friendship is on the roughest of patches, they still care about each other enough that they still worry about the others' health.

Well, that and Penny once missed about all of the things she promised Jake she'd be at only to never show up for "family emergencies", and if she was saving the world while Jake thought Aunt May was just seriously screwed up health-wise.

Then those are grounds for fighting, as he and many other students worked as hard as they could to make sure Aunt May gets better from whatever she was fighting.

Penny: "Anywayyyy, I got to get dressed for, you know, what type of work, so go on get! (Slaps Jake's leg) Go on and get out already!"

Jake: "(Lying flat on her bed, not moving an inch) I am one with the bed, and nothing you say can change that! Also, when did you start working the corner? Because if so, I would be more than willing to be your first cus—"

Before he could finish, Penny just threw one of the many backpacks she had lying around since this whole superhero thing made it to where she goes through them a lot by either throwing them away and they get stolen or forgotten about or using them to store stuff she might need later.

The worst has got to be when she puts in some suits or when her powers were faulty web shooters, as she could and would often forget to replace them and suddenly be forced to wear a suit that was made for a different time and might not exactly fit or only be needed for certain events.

Seeing that her friend wasn't going to be leaving anytime soon, she starts stripping and then getting dressed into her hero attire as Jake just stays motionless on the bed the entire time as he tries to figure out why there are multiple crochet-looking spiderwebs on her ceiling.

When Penny was finished, Jake just finally realised what was happening and that he missed a chance to tease his friend about her body since what are best friends for if not to mess with you?

Also, because he wanted to see how many scars and bruises she may have, since if she's truly been doing this for years, then she's got to have something, and if not, then it should be something interesting with her body, as something has to happen with all the web swinging and fighting she does in a day.

Spider-Woman leaves, and so does Jake as White-Spider leaving Aunt May to wonder just where the heck did, they go but just quickly ignores her worries since Penny's done this enough times that she only worries when she doesn't come back in twelve hours and has a full-blown breakdown when it becomes a day.

Both spider people meet up with Mia, who, thanks to the Fantastic Four, has made her own suit that she plans on having her younger self take if Back to the Future rules apply here, and she eventually vanishes.

They're all here today because... Spider-Woman???

Honestly, Jake was just following Penny, who was following Mia, who was following Jake, as she still didn't trust him even after spending the weekend with him and his family and has just led to all three of them standing on a building wondering why they're having a meeting.

Penny and Mia leave when Johnny appears and asks for their help, knowing New York could literally be anything from them helping him with a prank or moving something to helping to foil a takeover from some underground group of mole people or whatever.

Meanwhile, Jake was just left wondering what to do, as he had some photo-negative Spider-Woman suit that he hopes people don't realise is a loan and nothing to really do since he can't really do what he used to as Ekaj and all the abilities that came from that connection plus all the other symbiotes is what really helped him out.

But on his own is just going to be a massive pain, especially since he's not as smart as Penny is with anything that this hero work has to do, and he just barely managed to avoid enough things to not let the others realise how terrible he is at web swinging.

With nothing better to do, he jumps off the building and starts swinging through the city since the only way to get better at doing this or risk constantly getting some kind of head injury, chest injury, and just about every injury possible from a hard and sudden impact.

As he swung through the city for a second, Jake thought he felt something rolling up the back of his neck; maybe 'rolling up' isn't the best word, but he felt something trying to tell him to MOVE!

Jake instantly let go of his web and then webbed a lamp to help ground himself to the ground as he began frantically looking around for whatever danger his body was sensing, as it had to be something major since he doesn't have any kind of ability like that as far as he knows.

Since the one he used to have was just either Ekaj or something Tony or Reed made to help them know about dangers before they actually happen, but without any of those, Jake is really scared about what this might be.

And boy was he right to be scared as Connor, aka Lizard Man, jumped out of the ground, not the sewers, just the ground itself, like he just got back from hell or something and was making his WWE debut as he forced his way through while at the same time choking Jake.

Lizard-Man: "FOUND YOU (Snarls)!"
