The Amazing White-Spider

It was a rough couple of weeks for Spider-Woman, as not only was she eating when Captain America's shield suddenly almost took her head off, but also, thanks to her spider-sense, which just barely kept her mask and head intact from how fast the shield was going.

Not only that but she also found out that Otto came back and was trying to find who stole his arms even though he still had them attached to his body given he was throwing a cargo truck across the place.

But it gets worse! As she also had to deal with Doc. Conners finally making an appearance after all these years of staying quiet. Except Penny isn't convinced that it is Conners, as nothing seems to point to it being the lizard other than some bite marks on a body.

Penny thinks: The bite marks don't match Lizard's teeth marks from what I remember them looking like, as this appears to be sharp and jagged for every tooth, while Conner has a couple teeth that are flat so that they could help with chewing. Also, he's stopped eating people, as he managed to gain enough control over his lizard self to at least get him to stop trying to do that and instead consume semi-normal food like chicken more often.

Walking on the side of the Empire State Building, as it's the one place that helps her think since it's the only place where she can truly get the peace to even try thinking, as not many people would think of talking to her or could even try.

It was while she was thinking that Penny eventually realized that there was in fact a new villain in town, or rather in the city, one that was just as primal as Lizardman during his worst of days but apparently having the brains of Conners.

This could be very bad if her hypothesis was correct and she was truly right and not just turning into a conspiracy theorist because of all the things she's seen and lived through during her time as a hero.

Having no real way to do anything on her own, Spider-Woman went over to the Fantastic Four base where everyone was out. Not on a mission per se, but more because they were doing some family stuff, and because of the whole civil war thing, she was forced to miss out on going on a picnic in the only place with breathable air on the moon.

Penny doesn't really believe anything Johnny says as a fact most of the time since he's very much always lying in some way or another to get a laugh out of anyone who'd believe everything he says, like when she first met him all those years ago.

Her reason for coming all the way over here was to talk to Mia, as Penny wanted to know if there was anything she could potentially know with her knowledge of the future, as almost everything she predicted eventually came to pass even if the dates were a little off.

But by the time she got there, Mia had already left with a note from her stating that she wanted to find the man responsible for killing her family and her future.

Penny doesn't have a single idea as to what any of that even meant, nor did she have any idea as to how she'd get revenge on someone who hasn't even done whatever she was talking about. As if she really was a time traveler, then there are far too many things that could lead to her future or even prevent it.

Thanks to Mia's sudden departure, however, it meant that Penny was just screwed, as that was her only lead to anything involving what could be the newest threat to the city, and with the Avengers being forced on the bench for however long it takes to heal them, along with the only other person she knows that will actually help (or hurt) the city being on a camping trip with his family, it means that she's all alone in terms of her hero work.

Forced to go back to her normal life, Penny wakes up the next day and does a boring, normal-life routine, the kind that most people would probably like, the kind she used to yearn for, in fact, but with her life being the way it is, she quickly realizes how boring normal life is to her now.

Going to class, helping Harry with whatever he does, and then spending time with Aunt May was fun and a very welcome boring normalcy to her life. It was still boring compared to her usual life, and she wanted more as she felt very guilty (and bored/selfish) for wanting there to be actual crime in the city just for her to fight and help out.

Penny: "I know I shouldn't feel this way, but... I just... I just don't know what to do anymore, you know!?"

Daredevil: "Well. I actually enjoy the normal days. The days when nothing happens that I have to worry about and I can just spend with those I love along with possibly trying to get back into some shows I was forced to stop watching or maybe even a hobby I stopped or have yet to pick up."

Penny points to the sky and opens her mouth as she's about to say something, but before she can, Daredevil points a finger to his own lips, signaling for her to be quiet and just listen, which she keeps doing.

Daredevil: "Before you say anything, I'm not saying this can't be your hobby or that you're in the wrong. I mean, we're all just mere men dressed up in costumes after all, so there must be something wrong with us in a small sense, as we could just leave it to the police or maybe even S.H.I.E.L.D. Yet we all answered the call in our own ways, and because of that, we've all taken up the mantle of our own heroes. So, no, you're not wrong any more than I am right with how we wish crime to be, as we're two very different people who enjoy vastly different things. Just try to find something you can do at least as a cover at the very least, and who knows, you might learn to enjoy it even more than you like being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Woman."

Having finished everything he had to say, Daredevil backflips off the building and swings away as he does with his little stick things, leaving Spiderwoman to wonder and ponder everything he just said since it all makes sense, but at the same time it's hard to find a hobby that sticks!

But with his wise words of advice, Spider-Woman made her way home and decided to take up, in a sense, knitting, as she has the ability to make an unlimited number of webs as the energy she gets from eating lets her make.

One quick search online makes her hate the prospect, and working at it, she hates even more, as everything involving the act of basically speed knitting is so much of a pain that she might as well just make a massive ball of it and play "Swing, batter batter batter!"

With a heavy sigh Penny sits down and tries again and again as many times as it takes to make a massive web that wouldn't be easily broken, as that's what she needs the most, and everything else would be smaller things that could make life easier, like a hammock or swing.

As Penny was trying her best to get used to making webs bend to her will instead of letting them just do whatever far off in the wilderness, the Long family was having a little party for their family, aka a BBQ, as Jake was not really all there after Ekaj's battle with Strange.

Haley wants her brother to get better, so she makes his usual hot dog and burger and tries her best to help him eat just as Mia arrives to crash the party and holds a gun up to everyone's head with a man dressed in almost all black except for the bits of white on his uniform.

???: "You sure this kid is going to end the world?"

Mia: "YES! (Turns the safety off her gun.) Now are you going to help me or not!? Cause I really don't want to hurt more people than I have to."

??: "Look, I helped you track him and his family down as you made him seem far worse than anything I've ever fought. And I've danced the demons' tango with at least three different Ghost Riders. (Points to Jake) But just how is he a threat!?"
