Avengers Civil War Finale
Inside the Avengers Manor, the place where they all go when they don't, won't, or can't operate in the field, which is what the Avengers Tower is used for, as it's the only place that gets the best wifi signal along with having a cockpit for space travel should they need it.
All the Avengers that took part in the war (as most of them either didn't care or were busy doing their own thing) were trying their best to relax as Tony, with barely anything wrong with him, walks in with a glass of brandy with a candy of some kind inside in place of ice.
Thor: "I thought you were staying off the mead of your kind?"
Tony: "Yeah, well after all of that, I don't really care since I know I can get through a day of drinking and be fine tomorrow."
Steve: "(Grunts as he moves his legs to lie flat on the couch.) Isn't that what you said for our third battle against one another?"
Tony: "No. (Chugs his drink) The third was because all of you didn't feel confident with me trying to keep fragments of the celestial blade from Silver Surfer. (Places the glass on his lips, trying to only eat the candy and not the ice as he talks.) The one with alcohol just so happened to take place during all of that."
Falcon just grunts as he takes off his suit since his mutant powers didn't give him the power of a jetpack booster, and the thing isn't light as some might think and also hurts his shoulders and back far more than he'd like.
Sam: "Ayo, TONY! When are you going to upgrade my pack, man? I've been lugging this thing around for what feels like five years!?"
Tony: "(Places the glass on the table as a tiny robot takes it to the kitchen) Well, if you were to run through my gauntlet along with agreeing to get tested for biometric data and mutant changes or whatever you want to call it, I could get to work."
Sam: "Yeah... the last time someone let you do that to them, you created armor to fight and possibly kill them."
Tony: "(Snaps his fingers at Sam.) Yeah, but I also gave them a pair of pants that won't tear and look good."
Bruce: "Yeah, no. Hulk and I don't really like the pants."
Tony: "(Pretends to be hurt.) How could you not tell me?"
Bruce: "(Looks angry as his eyes flash green for a second as he stands his ground in front of Tony and coldly says) We have. Many. Many times, and you never listen."
Tony: "Well, the only thing you told me is—"
Tony pretending to be Bruce and Hulk: "We don't care so long as it can fit and is purple!"
Tony: "And so I freaking did! While also adding some style to it, as you didn't want anything else, and I just couldn't let it be, as my inner Edma wouldn't let me!"
Bruce: "(Turns to everyone in the seating area.) Who the heck is Edma?"
Everyone just shrugs as they don't know who this person might be, causing Tony to just sigh and thank the machine that brought him a refill with a sour jawbreaker instead of whatever he had last time.
Tony: "Seriously, you all need to get out. Like seriously enjoy life instead of doing whatever you do inside your rooms."
Bruce: "Well, if you've been hunted by the military for as long as I've had you, learn to appreciate the simple things while also being very attached to any room you can have."
Thor: "I have thy hobbies."
Tony: "Watching old cartoons doesn't count! I mean, how the heck do you even watch those things? Like, the only thing I know you can use, even if it's just barely, is the tablet I gave you so you could stop interrupting the meetings when you and Steve didn't understand the words I was using."
Steve and Thor just lock eyes and blush as they avert their gazes as Tony just sighs once more as Scott and Janet exit a room looking a bit rougher than when they first entered, as no one asks a single question and just keeps talking about what they're going to do now?
Since the whole battle was about half of them thinking Tony could be trusted to not abuse the alien tech they got from their latest battle, since they all know how Tony acts whenever he finds something "interesting," as he calls it, along with the problems it could most likely cause.
Black Panther arrives wearing nothing more than his pants and boots, as they weren't part of his necklace and were instead a replica of his suit made so he could get used to the feeling of moving around in them.
He also had a matching top, gloves, and helmet but wasn't wearing any of them, as the power of the Panther had already healed him of all his outward problems, but he was still beyond exhausted and needed to let his body breathe.
Black Widow was off in her room getting changed and having makeup applied over her bandages, as the last thing she needs as a spy is for anyone to see her body bruised and damaged, as it'd just make her jobs annoying.
Natasha: "I swear. Next time Fury needs someone to infiltrate a hero group, you should get sent instead."
Clint: "Trust me. I could never pull off a dress just like you. That and I don't think the guys would like me more than you. I mean. (Looks Natasha up and down.) We both know how you look and that you're the best for these types of things."
Natasha: "Yes, and you're better suited for stealth attacks and whatnot. But I'm as skilled as you. (Clint laughs with a snort or two.) Quite you! (Throws an empty makeup kit at Clint.) I just want to do something besides constantly infiltrating groups and making friends. It's getting hard to trust others when half the time I think they're wearing a mask just like me."
Clint: "Well, when times like that happen. The best thing to do is have a friend like me there to trust and confide in as you know what they say. Better to have a single friend than many suckers acting as such."
Natasha: "I don't think that's a real quote."
Clint: "Eh. Doesn't matter when I'm right. Either way, call ya later, Nasty."
Natasha gets ready to throw something at Clint again as he just laughs and jumps through the window and swings away as he fires a grappling shot far off into the distance as a knock is heard on the door as Spider-Woman is on the other side.
Natasha doesn't answer as she's still getting "cleaned up" and doesn't want to meet anyone that could see her in a weakened state, especially one of the people she actually considers a friend, as Spider-Woman is one of the few people on this team that she can actually trust.
Back in the seating area, the main problematic children of the Avengers are talking about what to actually do with the alien tech since they don't want to entrust it with anyone else, as the Fantastic Four, while honest, probably won't give it back.
That, and Reed is also known to cause some problems for the world of science, even if it's nowhere near the amount that Tony has done by a very large margin if those two are used as the standard.
Bruce calls up his girlfriend, the only woman that was willing to put up with the Hulk yet also had a compassionate heart for Bruce to feel a connection with, aka Elizabeth Ross, or somewhat better known as Red She-Hulk.
When her cell doesn't answer, he realizes that it's because she was busy partying with Carol in space (last he knew anyway) as it was the only place they could party as they liked since both of them seemed to like getting drunk and getting rough.
And after doing that enough times on earth, Colonel Ross promised his daughter that he'd put her in time-out like he tried with Hulk next time he gets a complaint from some random bar or state in need of help from her and "Carol's fun night outs."
Bruce: "I wish my cousin would finally take up the offer and hang out with those two."
Steve: "Why Banner? You want your cousin to end up like them?"
Bruce: "No! I want her to go out with them, as I know she's about the only thing that could actually keep things down or at least make it hard to point back to them, so she doesn't have to keep going off-world whenever she needs to relax."
Thor: "And when might this time of relaxation occur?"
Bruce: "(Sighs) Basically every day. Honestly, I think she's addicted to being Red She-Hulk, as anytime she's not like that, she seems more prone to anger and even acts like the addicts I used to see on my travels."
Tony: "(Claps hands together) Okay, the conversation is getting off-topic and onto Bruce's love life. Now (opens a portrait revealing the alien tech part), what the heck are we going to do with this?"
Steve: "Lock it up?"
Everyone nods in agreement over Steve's suggestion as Tony just curses in a language that only he and Bruce know about, and Bruce gives him the stink eye while Tony just laughs and throws another thing he'd like to mess with and would study in secret into the cellar with all the other crap that no one wants to mess with.
Tony: "At some point we're going to need to actually go through everything we've been given along with sorting through this stuff."
Turning around, Tony sees that everyone has already left for their own rooms to heal up, causing him to just sigh in great frustration as he drinks another bourbon, only for it to actually be a brand of coke he made to look and smell like his former drink of choice in order to mess with people.
Tony: "Someday I'll turn evil, and none of these people will be able to tell the difference. And I honestly don't know if that's from lack of trust, a sign of trust, or just them thinking I'm too weak to really put up a proper battle. What do you think, Jarvis?"
JARVIS: "I think you have a 13% chance of turning to the, as you like me to call it, 'dark side.' And to add onto your point of trust, sir, I believe it's because they all think you're too good to go down that path, especially with the reason as to why you became Iron Man."
Tony: "And? I know there's an "and" or "but" you're keeping from me!"
JARVIS: "And according to my research, sir, almost everyone on the team thinks that given the chance, they could win against you in a battle should the time for a dark time ever come about."
Tony: "I bet I know which ones. (Grunts) Call Piper and let her and Morgan know that I'm coming home, and should they need anything, let me know, as it's going to take me a couple hours to get home."
JARVIS: "Not feeling up for a flight, sir?"
Tony: "After getting knocked around inside my suit like a can of meat, I want to just relax for a while and not even touch the thing till tomorrow if I can help it."
JARVIS: "Very good, sir. I shall let them know. Also, should I let the secret bots take the piece and bring it to the lab?"
Tony: "Yes. You should always do that when no one's looking. I mean, I make all these amazing things for the team, and yet they can't trust me to not end the world? Yes, they can trust me not to turn evil. I just don't get it."
JARVIS: "It's because—"
Tony: "Atata. It's a rhetorical question, as I already know the answer and don't really hold a grudge. It's just petty annoyance, as I'm fairly certain at least Bruce knows I still look over the stuff and yet acts like it's the worst thing if I do."
Jarvis begins to talk, but Tony just tells him to play something calm to listen to, as he just wants to clear his head as best he can and come up with different ways of improving his suit while JARVIS looks over all the battle data to come up with countermeasures for the battle.
Along with swapping the sizes of War Machine and Iron Patriot since one sounds nicer than the other, it doesn't make much sense for it to look better than it should with the name War Machine.
Steve, meanwhile, tries his best to get up to speed on everything that is current along with any information he's missed because of his ice bath, as no matter how well he thinks he knows the modern era, he always finds or hears something that doesn't make any sense to only him.
Bucky just sleeps on Steve's massive bed, as Steve prefers the couch, as it feels closer to what he's used to than the bed, and he just can't sleep if he were to try on the bed because of just how soft it is along with how big it is compared to every bed he's ever used in his life.
Steve: "Now if only I knew how to decode this like I do with modern slang, and I'd finally get to the bottom of what he was trying to tell me."
And that is all for now hope you all enjoyed and until next time stay safe and peace!
