Mystic/Spider
As the sounds of trains and cars blast all around the skatepark, Jake walks through all the wannabe pro skaters and whatever people who use rollerblades and scooters as they all move around the place, not seeming to care about anyone in their path.
Which Jake was very used to, as he did the same thing in the past when he was riding with Trixie and Spud, and upon remembering his old friends, he wonders just when the heck they'd come back to New York from wherever their families take them once New York gets too dangerous.
Sometimes some of the random people would stop either because they didn't want to run Jake over or because they were semi-friendly with him and didn't want to hurt one of their friends and instead tried to catch up.
Jake, however, was on a mission, and he told them that he was too busy to talk right now, but he'd be okay with hitting them up later when he wasn't so busy, which worked for some, while others got annoyed and cursed or flipped something at Jake before skating off.
Most of the skaters who did that were people Jake had beaten or agreed to skate against but never did, as too many things kept piling up, like today, where no matter what, Jake couldn't talk to any of them as he marched over to the homeless-looking and smelling man.
The strange man was sleeping on the pile of beanbags and other comfy bags of trash thrown around the self-made lounge area of this abandoned warehouse turned skatepark.
Jake: "I need your help."
The strange man just grumbles and groans as he turns over, trying to ignore Jake, but as Jake keeps pestering him over and over about getting his help, which doesn't really do anything but annoy the man, he brings out a sandwich, a drink, and a cookie.
Jake: "I'll give these to you if you help me."
The strange man grumbles as he groans while standing up and walks past the skatepark and into a fire exit door.
Once inside, nothing makes any sense, as everything looks modern, ancient, comfy, and prison-like and seems to go on for eternity as the strange old man moves his fingers in a circle before pushing them up as his disheveled look quickly morphs into a decent-looking man in monk attire.
Strange: "Look, I'm very busy. I've got to make sure the place is segregated from all the different dimensions that want to wage war on one another, as if they succeed, they will destroy Earth in the process, getting my doctor, working on my mystic studies, and trying to win over the girl of my dreams. So please kindly give me the first food I'll have in 342 hours and get out and go on your way."
Jake: "Look, I don't need much, just... just look inside my head and tell me if my dream is just a dream or—"
Strange: "Or if you're having "another" premonition dream. Look, the only time you did something like that was when you lost your sister, and lots of people dream that, but that doesn't always make them right!"
Jake just holds the bag of food and drink and shakes the two at Strange, who groans and snaps his fingers twice as the two are suddenly in Strange's hands and quickly become nothing more than crumbs and trash, as Strange is basically a black hole for food when he goes without food for long enough.
Strange: "Alright, now that I've eaten, let's get this done with already."
Strange walks over to Jake and grabs his head as he mutters something under his breath as both Jake's and Strange's eyes begin glowing white as the world around them starts cracking and breaking as the last section of Jake's dream surrounds the pair.
Strange: "(Lets go of Jake's head) Alright, we're here. Now what's your reason for seeking me out?"
Jake: "Well, there's me, the one with the long hair. And the ones I'm worried about are all these symbiote women."
Strange: "Let me guess, they're all someone important to you?"
Jake: "(With zero hesitation) Yea? Why would I care about someone not important to me?"
Strange just rolls his eyes as he starts moving his hands and arms around like a conductor as the dream world starts cracking as the four symbiote women start moving around, with the two with Strange even turning them around to face them as well as posing their bodies to basically be in an idle position.
Strange: "Before we continue, let's just see what you were watching or listening to that may have altered your so-called prophetic dream."
Cracking his knuckles Strange looks up and grasps the air as he destroys the moon, revealing the movie that was playing as Jake slept last night, which was some random B-movie action movie that showed the exact same scene as the one Jake was dreaming.
Strange: "So... (looks at Jake with a raised eyebrow) premonition, eh?"
Jake: "Look, I'm not saying my dream wasn't guided by something. What I'm worrying about is if these four women are anyone I care about and if it's possible for them to become them!!!"
Strange: "Look, as far as I know there is only one of each symbiote type left in the world... well, two when it comes to the black one, but they effectively share a brain cell, so it all evens out. But I highly doubt any of the people you're probably worried about could become (circles his hand around the four demonic symbiote women) anything like them."
Jake: "But they could! I mean, I'm the white symbiote guy, and whenever I consume the DNA of someone else that has something special about them, I get something similar while in my symbiote form."
Strange just raises his eyebrow upon hearing about consuming DNA, almost like he was wondering if he should take a couple steps back from Jake in case he tries something.
Strange: "Anyway... if you're worried about the other person becoming like you, then... well, I really have no idea, as neither the mystic monks nor the doctors I learn from have any idea about the symbiotes and how they work, so... well, you're just screwed, I guess."
Jake: "HEY! I gave you food for help, not for telling me I have to just suck it up and accept the fact that I may kill the people I love."
Strange: "Look, I get love is difficult. I mean, I'm basically a thousand thanks to my mystic training, but even with my age, I still have problems figuring out how certain body parts work, along with getting the woman I think is my destiny but I know isn't, as literally the entire universe and everything in it has told me over and over just how wrong I am and that I have yet to meet my true soulmate."
Strange suddenly dashes behind Jake and slaps him upside the head as Mary Jane, Penny, Felicia, and Gwen all pop out of his head and start tumbling towards each of their symbiote counterparts, with Strange watching it all go down.
Strange: "You know, I'm starting to realize that maybe you're just worried that you might... I don't know how to put it, but say "shaggy waggy dillibob dingdong woman to death or to death of their very identities."
Jake: "Look, I... I just want to know if there's a chance if I get with any of them, could I be destroying their very lives with my... unique build?"
Strange: "Don't know. I'd say yes, but I could also say no because I'm not yet a doctor because every time I get ready to take the test, the city gets destroyed or invaded, or something happens that has the test be moved to another day."
Jake just rolls his eyes as he walks around, fully annoyed at just how unhelpful Strange has been this entire time and feeling like he has nothing left to lose. Strange creates a baseball bat and smacks Jake over the head, breaking the false dream reality they were just in.
Strange: "Look, your dreams mean nothing but possibilities from other realities if certain theories are to be believed. But there's no way of knowing if any of that may happen or may just be a negative thought. So just go about your life, and if by some chance all four. You know what, scratch that. If even one of them becomes a demon symbiote like you dreamt, then I'd owe you a single favor that you can use for anything, no matter how big, small, magic, or scientific."
Having nothing else for Jake Strange, he kicks him out of his house as Jake finds he somehow arrived at the old mansion rumored to be haunted, where everyone who's ever gone inside has never been seen nor heard from since... well, by their parents at least, as Jake has seen all of them either working at some shop or, for some reason, on the yacht in Wakanda.
Meanwhile, inside the Fantastic Four building, Penny was throwing up, as she just accidentally ate one of the spiked foods Johnny and Ben made for one another. She should have known something was up when Johnny was smiling and giggling as she ate the food he shared.
Penny: "I swear when I get enough money to get his favorite burger, I will make him regret thi—"
Penny throws up even more, and when she finally finishes, she looks up and sees part of her hair is longer than the rest and completely white, along with one of her eyes looking brighter than the other.
This wasn't anything new for Penny, as she just grabbed the strand of hair and pulled it off without any problems, as well as rubbing her eye for a bit before it went back to normal.
???: "(Metallic and echoing female voice) Face it... Tiger... who'd... want... a girl... who can't... even... control... her... body..."
Penny: "(Clenches the sides of the sink hard enough to crack a normal sink) Shut up... SHUT UP!"
Johnny: "Whoa!? Sorry, hey, could you... have super hearing or maybe mind reading because I'm certain you shouldn't have been able to hear me?"
Penny: "(Looks at Johnny angry and annoyed) No, but even if I could, you'd be the last person I'd want to mind read."
Johnny: "Aw, how was I supposed to know that the food wasn't good anymore?"
Penny: "We both know you already took a bite; I could feel a slightly burnt taste where you took your first and only bite for you to know it wasn't good, and yet you gave it to me."
Johnny: "(Chuckles) Yeah, well, if you're feeling better, Ben's making burgers big enough for him and for all of us, so we're saving your favorite combo for when you can eat, along with your favorite soda. Just... just know that no matter what others might say, we're here for you. (Caresses Penny's back and moves her tank top fabric around a bit to annoy her.)"
Penny: "Thanks, but stop. I know what you're trying, and if you do it one more damn time, I will web you with my fire-resistant webs to the training zone and let Ben go full football quarterback on you again!"
Johnny smiles and chuckles but awkwardly as he backs away and joins the rest of his family for food with a somewhat sad look on his face, mostly because ever since Penny found out that Jake wasn't keen on heroics and even worse suddenly disappeared, she's been a bit depressed, and now that she's back, she seems to have even more problems than before.
Sue: "How is she?"
Johnny: "(Flops on the dining room chair) Still talking to herself and finding new faults. (Opens his burger and douses it in unknown spicy ketchup and mustard that Ben left out for him.) I don't know how long she can last like this, but I think it's more than time for her to take a vacation."
Everyone agrees as they get ready to eat, while Ben just pretends to do so as he patiently awaits Johnny to find out the spicy twist he just gave his burger, and the second Penny finally left the bathroom was when Johnny took a bite and was breathing fire as he started rushing over to drink anything to cool his poor tongue.
And that is all for now hope you all enjoyed and until next time stay safe and peace!
