Chapter 111: Tsunade’s Conditions
Ren walked into the medical clinic’s private office. Tsunade and Shizune were already leaning over the desk, dissecting the rough notes of the compatibility seal Ren had left before departing for the capital.
Ren stepped up directly behind Tsunade’s chair. He slid his hands down her ribs, settling them firmly on her hips, and leaned over her shoulder to look at the paperwork. He pulled her back against him until his hard cock pressed deliberately into the crack of her ass through their clothes, his thumbs sliding lazily against her stomach.
Tsunade didn’t pause her explanation. She simply took his left hand, moved it off her stomach, and placed it firmly on the armrest out of her way while she kept tracing a line of script with her pen. She didn’t move her ass away from his cock.
Shizune looked up from the opposite side of the desk and tapped the center of the notes with her finger.
"Pay attention, Ren," Shizune said.
"I am," Ren said. "What’s the verdict?"
"The problem is straightforward," Tsunade said, leaning her weight back into his chest while remaining focused on the seal. "Kakashi’s body constantly wastes chakra because it was never meant to carry a Sharingan. Your seal should make the connection cleaner and cut down most of that constant drain."
She dropped the pen and looked up at him over her shoulder.
"But you need to understand what this won’t do. It will not give Kakashi the chakra reserves of an Uchiha, and it will not make using the Sharingan free. When he pushes the eye in combat, it will still cost him."
"Understood," Ren said.
"Good," Tsunade continued, her tone shifting into pure medical authority. "Because if we do this, it happens on my terms. First, Kakashi consents. Second, I examine him thoroughly before anyone touches a brush to his skin. Third, I review the completed seal. Fourth, the initial activation happens right here in my clinic. And fifth, if I tell you to stop the procedure, you stop. Immediately."
Shizune stepped around the desk to cross-reference a second file. As Ren shifted to lean against the edge of the desk, she naturally stepped right between his spread knees to reach the paper.
Ren’s hand settled high on her thigh, his thumb brushing deliberately close to her pussy through the fabric while she read.
"I want his chakra checked before we apply it, then again afterward," Shizune added, completely ignoring what his thumb was doing. "Otherwise, we won’t know how much the seal actually helped."
She finished reading the file, lifted Ren’s hand away from her thigh, and moved to the cabinet to file the paperwork.
Ren looked down at Tsunade. "Would you actually recommend it to him?"
Tsunade didn’t hesitate. "Yes. The alternative is doing nothing, which means Kakashi spends the next few decades wasting chakra every day just carrying the eye. The risk is worth taking."
That was the only answer Ren needed.
He quietly opened the interface in his mind.
Foreign Chakra Compatibility Seal — 80,000 BC
He confirmed the purchase.
The complete seal design settled into his mind.
Balance: 4,920,000 BC
Ren pulled a blank scroll from his jacket, uncapped a pen, and smoothly transferred the finished design onto the paper in a matter of minutes. He laid it flat on the desk.
Tsunade and Shizune immediately leaned in to inspect it.
"This is better than the draft," Tsunade murmured, studying the finished seal. "It isn’t trying to make the Sharingan part of Kakashi. It’s creating a cleaner connection between them."
Shizune leaned closer. "So there’s less chance of his body fighting it."
"Less," Tsunade said. "Not none."
She looked up at Ren, her voice turning sharp. "But it still isn’t foolproof. If Kakashi’s body reacts badly enough, the damage around the eye could become permanent."
She looked directly at Ren.
"Worst case, we lose the Sharingan."
Ren’s casual demeanor evaporated. He stared at the scroll, the gravity of the risk fully settling in.
Shizune noticed the shift in his posture. She reached down and gave his arm a firm, reassuring squeeze.
"So, who asks him?" Ren said.
"Obito’s eye is heavily emotional for Kakashi," Tsunade pointed out, sitting back in her chair. "It isn’t merely a piece of malfunctioning medical equipment to him. It’s a grave marker."
Kushina crossed his mind.
Ren dismissed the thought for now. He would talk to Kakashi himself first.
"I’ll speak to him myself," Ren decided.
Shizune let go of his arm and gave him a warning look. "Do not treat this like one of your business negotiations, Ren."
Ren sighed. "Why does everyone keep assuming I intend to sell Kakashi his own medical treatment?"
Tsunade and Shizune both stopped what they were doing and stared flatly at him.
Ren held his hands up. "Fine. I won’t pitch it."
He stepped away from the desk. Before he could reach the door, Shizune caught him by the lapels and straightened his collar. Her fingers lingered against his chest.
Ren caught her waist and pulled her in for a short, deep kiss.
Shizune kissed him back warmly, her mouth opening against his for a long second before she pulled away. She gave his chest a final, definitive pat.
"Kakashi first," she told him.
By early afternoon, Ren had barely settled back into his usual work when an Academy runner arrived looking for him.
A short while later, he entered the Civilian Academy. The hallways were mostly empty, with the students occupied in their classes. He found Kurenai in the ground-floor administrative office, frowning at a daily guard log spread across a wooden desk.
She looked up when he entered. "We have a problem."
Ren walked over and stood beside her. "What kind?"
"Several people have reported seeing an unfamiliar man watching the school perimeter over the last three days," Kurenai explained, sliding the logs toward him. "A merchant saw him near the east gate. One of the instructors saw him lingering by the training yard. The problem is, everyone remembers his face differently."
Ren frowned, looking at the varying descriptions. "Genjutsu."
"Probably," Kurenai said. "Nothing strong. Just enough to muddy his face and keep people from paying too much attention. He’s been hanging around long enough that I think he’s watching our guard rotations."
She stood beside him at the desk, leaning over the paperwork to point out the specific timestamps. As she moved, she leaned comfortably against his side. Ren’s hand settled naturally onto the curve of her hip, his thumb resting just above the waistband of her skirt.
Kurenai kept reading the log for a few seconds, completely unbothered by the contact.
"Are you actually reading the reports?" Kurenai asked, glancing sideways at him.
"Mostly," Ren said.
Kurenai dropped her gaze to his hand resting warmly on her hip.
"That explains the missing percentage," she murmured.
She didn’t move away. Instead, she shifted her weight slightly, pressing her hip more firmly into his palm as she tapped a specific location on the map.
"If we quietly change the guard pattern tomorrow," Kurenai suggested, keeping her voice low, "I can plant a localized genjutsu trap near the eastern entrance. It’s the most vulnerable blind spot. If he comes back to test the perimeter, the trap will lock him down long enough for me to catch him."
"Do it," Ren agreed, giving her hip a slow squeeze before letting go. "Change the patrol routes tonight."
Kurenai rolled up the map. "Come back tomorrow evening. We can test the trap together before the shift change."
Before Ren could answer the invitation, quick footsteps echoed in the hallway.
A hospital runner stopped in the open doorway, catching his breath.
"Lord Ren," the runner said urgently. "Lady Tsunade requested you return to the clinic immediately. Kakashi Hatake just arrived for his scheduled checkup."
