Chapter 253
Director Liu smiled knowingly. "Xiaoke dresses so conservatively. How did you know her chest was big?"
Chenyang froze. It was an impossible question to answer.
After all, Director Liu was also a woman. If he dared to admit he only knew because he had just touched Wen Xiaoke’s chest, Director Liu would probably throw him out on the spot for being a pervert.
"I guessed. Her personality isn’t the most agreeable, but she’s still good-looking. And beautiful girls shouldn’t have small chests."
"That’s not necessarily true, you know."
"How so?"
"From a medical standpoint, more attractive women generally have smaller chests. From a metaphysical one, you could say the heavens won’t allow a truly perfect woman to exist in this world. If you’re given a beautiful face, you won’t also be given a curvy figure."
Chenyang turned and sized up Director Liu. "That’s not right either."
"How so?"
"If the heavens only allow a woman to have either a beautiful face or a great figure, then how come you possess both a gorgeous face and a full figure?"
Hearing this, Director Liu froze for a moment.
She clearly hadn’t expected Chenyang to suddenly turn the conversation toward her.
But after she composed herself, a faint blush quietly crept onto her pretty face.
Women love to be beautiful.
And they love being complimented, having their beauty admired!
Even a woman who isn’t particularly attractive would be overjoyed to hear someone call her beautiful.
In terms of looks, Director Liu was perhaps a notch below Liu Yun.
But when it came to the whole package, the two were on par with each other.
Director Liu was a classical type of beauty.
A perfect oval face and delicate features.
Her figure was full but not exaggerated. Her ample breasts, rounded hips, and slender waist formed a perfect S-curve.
Paired with her white doctor’s coat, she exuded a classical beauty reminiscent of the Republican era.
However, she was quite talkative, not the reserved and demure type.
A beauty like her possessed her own unique, endearing charm.
If one were to rank the female doctors and nurses at the City Hospital by looks, she would conservatively place in the top five.
It was just that, because of the department she worked in, she didn’t hear such compliments as often as Liu Yun did.
Liu Yun’s department had high patient traffic and was more public-facing, so she came into contact with all sorts of people.
Director Liu, on the other hand, was in the cardiology department, which was less open to the public. Not only was her contact with people limited, but during conversations, there was no time to dwell on topics outside of their illnesses.
The most frequent compliments she heard on a daily basis were, at most, things like, "Thank you, Doctor," or "Doctor, you’re incredible."
As for compliments on her figure or her looks, forget a month—she might not hear a single one in half a year or even a full year.
So when Chenyang’s compliment caught her completely off guard, she couldn’t help but blush.
Seeing her bashful expression, Chenyang said in surprise, "Surely not? I was just telling the truth, and you’re already embarrassed? You look to be about twenty-seven, twenty-eight... Have you never been told you’re beautiful? Or never even been in a relationship?"
Director Liu was actually thirty-one.
She had dated someone in college.
But it had lasted less than a month.
And she still wasn’t married.
Although she was beautiful and looked young, most people could tell she was at least thirty after just a glance.
Yet Chenyang had said she was twenty-seven or twenty-eight.
The compliment, combined with him correctly guessing she had no love life, made Director Liu’s pretty face flush an even deeper shade of red.
Lightly biting her red lip, she retorted, "What? Is it so shameful to have never been in a relationship or not have a boyfriend?"
"You’re this beautiful, and you really don’t have a boyfriend?" Chenyang was taken aback for a moment, then began to study Director Liu closely.
His intense gaze as it swept up and down her body made Director Liu feel a little uncomfortable. "What are you staring at?"
"These days, most beautiful women without boyfriends have some kind of flaw. But no matter how I look at you, Director Liu, you don’t seem to have any."
"Of course I don’t have any flaws! I don’t have a boyfriend because I don’t want to date. I don’t want to be taken advantage of by you damn men, that’s all."
"Well, if you’re going to say that, then I’ll have to argue the point with you."
"And what are you going to argue about?"
"That business between a man and a woman is about mutual enjoyment and mutual pleasure. How is it that the man is ’taking advantage’ and the woman is ’losing out’?"
"You damn men, feeling us up, doing things to us... isn’t that taking advantage of us?"
"That’s where you’re wrong! When we touch you, doesn’t it feel good? When we’re *doing* you, aren’t you happy?!"
