My Succubus Harem System In The Reverse World

Chapter 60: Cleared for Takeoff: Passing the Telemetry Block

The next three days followed a similar pattern.

For no clear reason, or perhaps out of respect for the boundary I had set, Jenna never made another move on me.

No late-night offers. No deliberate proximity beyond what was necessary.

She remained present, professional, and quietly attentive, but the heat from that night on the sofa stayed sealed behind her usual control.

It was disappointing.

And the fact that I found it disappointing only disappointed me further.

I was the one who had refused her offer. I was the one who had asked for time. Wanting the attention I had turned down felt like a small, private hypocrisy I didn’t enjoy examining too closely.

Each morning Gianna arrived as usual.

We trained. The sessions stayed controlled, no chains unless she allowed them, no high-output spikes, steady work on the Partner Mapping and the redirection loop.

She remained sharp, occasionally sharper than necessary, but the raw edge from the day she watched the simulation footage had settled into something more measured.

After she left, I went to Mira’s office and took the sphere.

"Try to spread the power out," Mira said on the first of those days, adjusting her glasses as she watched the readings.

"You’re still compressing too hard."

"I want to keep it in a clean line so it’s easier to circulate."

Mira nodded, though her expression remained skeptical.

"Your mana output is larger than you think. Squeezing all of it into a narrow channel can break the loop under stress. You don’t need to keep every thread under maximum tension. Make it light enough to move without shattering."

I didn’t fully understand the distinction, but I nodded and kept working.

On the second day, the pattern repeated until the end of training.

We had just finished a long exchange of footwork and leverage drills.

Both of us were breathing hard.

Gianna wiped sweat from her forehead, glanced at the sealed door, then reached up, gripped my shirt, and pulled me down with her as she dropped back onto the training tiles.

The kiss was immediate and consuming.

I braced my weight on my forearms so I wouldn’t crush her and let myself sink into it.

My hands itched to move lower, to test the waistband of her training pants, but I kept them where they were, one beside her head, the other against the mat.

Mouth only.

Nothing further.

When we finally broke apart, I spoke first, almost automatically.

"This means nothing."

Gianna’s eyes narrowed.

"That’s not for you to say. Don’t talk like that again."

I laughed under my breath, forehead still close to hers.

"That’s how it feels for me every time you say it."

Gia didn’t answer. She only pushed me back, stood, and collected her gear with the same controlled movements she always used when she needed to reassert distance.

The flush across her cheeks lasted longer than usual.

On the third day, Jenna monitored the session directly from the observation feed. Her presence changed the air in the room.

Gianna’s precision sharpened further. My own focus tightened. We ran the drills cleanly, no spikes, no unnecessary contact.

When the session ended, Gianna left with only a brief nod and a reminder about the coming date window.

I checked my status before heading to Mira.

[Status Window]

[Name: Revien]

[Class: Succubus]

[Level: 19]

[Attributes]

Strength: 32

Agility: 29

Vitality: 26

Mana: 84

Perception: 34

Charm: 92

Steady growth. No dramatic jumps. The kind that came from consistent pressure rather than emergency transfers.

Then I entered the sphere room.

Mira was already waiting, tablet in hand, the transparent training sphere resting on its stand.

"One hour," she said without preamble.

"No breaks. No resets. You hold the loop for the full duration, or we extend the block and your date window moves."

"You know about my date too?"

"I do."

"Understood."

I took the sphere. The surface flared a soft warning red the moment my mana touched it, then settled as I engaged the redirection.

"Spread it," Mira reminded me.

"Light pressure. Wide channel. If you compress the way you did on day one, it will fracture before the forty-minute mark."

I adjusted.

The first ten minutes were manageable. The loop hummed under my control, the new Partner Mapping sense lingering even without a live target.

I kept the output diffuse, letting the energy move in a broader circuit instead of forcing it into a single tight line.

At the fifteen-minute mark, the pressure began to build.

"You’re tightening again," Mira observed.

"It feels unstable when it’s this wide."

"That’s the point. Stability under width is what you need when multiple signatures are pulling on you at once. A narrow loop works for one partner. It fails when the field gets crowded."

I eased the compression and let the energy spread further. The sphere’s glow shifted from red toward a deeper violet.

Twenty minutes.

Twenty-five.

My shoulders started to ache from the constant micro-adjustments. The Succubus core wanted to dump the excess, to find a target and push. I kept redirecting it inward.

"Talk to me," Mira said. "Where’s the strain?"

"Behind the sternum. And at the base of the skull."

"Expected. Keep the loop moving. Don’t let it pool in either location."

Thirty minutes.

The sphere flickered once. I corrected before the fracture could form.

"Better," Mira murmured, making a note. "Your recovery speed after micro-corrections is improving."

I didn’t answer. Speaking took focus I needed for the loop.

At forty minutes, the awareness of Rei, that faint, irritating tether from the mutation, brushed against the edge of my perception. I almost compressed out of reflex.

Mira’s voice cut in immediately.

"Wide. Not narrow. You’re reacting to a ghost signature. Ignore it."

forced the channel open again.

Forty-five.

Fifty.

The last ten minutes were the hardest. Sweat ran down my back.

My hands around the sphere had gone rigid. The system flickered warnings at the edge of my vision about mental strain and recommended recovery protocols. I ignored them and kept the loop intact.

At sixty minutes exactly, Mira spoke.

"Stop."

I released the sphere. It settled back to clear. My arms dropped to my sides, trembling slightly from the sustained control.

Mira reviewed the final readings with a small, satisfied nod.

"Full hour. No hard fractures. Two minor corrections under the threshold. That’s a clean pass."
