The Capital's Dragon Doctor

Chapter 80: Unexpected Gain

When Shu Yuhang saw Lin Feng walk into the villa, a profound sense of danger washed over him.

On his way in, Lin Feng had noticed several assassins hidden around the villa. However, their strength was so pitifully weak it wasn't even worth mentioning, so he had simply ignored them.

"You're the one who hired someone to kill me, aren't you?"

Lin Feng had already seen a photo of Shu Yuhang, the young master of the Black Tiger Gang, in the intelligence report compiled by Wang Tianlin.

He was the young master in the white shirt. Lin Feng stared at Shu Yuhang, his tone casual, but his eyes held a chilling intent. 'This bastard actually dared to hire someone to kill me. I'll make sure he pays for this.'

"So what if it was me? Did I need to ask for your permission?"

Shu Yuhang said with a look of utter contempt. In his eyes, these so-called disciples from Ancient Martial Clans were nothing special; he didn't give them a second thought.

"I don't need your approval, but I have to tell you—you've messed with me. You know, there's a saying in Great Xia: cut the weeds and pull out the roots!"

Lin Feng said coolly, then began to walk slowly toward Shu Yuhang.

As for the man in the gray robe beside him, Lin Feng completely ignored him. He knew his own strength; a man like that couldn't possibly pose a threat to him.

"Kid, I've never seen anyone so arrogant. It looks like you don't plan on walking out of here alive today!"

The robed man said with a faint smile. His voice was shrill and effeminate, making one's skin crawl.

Lin Feng paid him no mind and just kept walking. He wanted to end this farce as quickly as possible and dispose of the assassin's corpse. The stench of blood was overwhelming, and it would be a hassle if it attracted any annoying pests.

"HUMPH!"

Seeing Lin Feng ignore him, the robed man snorted. His eyes glinted with murderous intent as Lin Feng drew ever closer.

The robed man's figure erupted forward. He was incredibly fast, appearing before Lin Feng in the blink of an eye. He thrust out his right arm, his fingers clawing at Lin Feng's chest.

But in the next moment, a single slap from Lin Feng sent him sprawling to the ground.

"A mere Postnatal Martial Artist dares to take me on directly?"

Watching the robed man groan in agony on the floor, a cold smirk touched Lin Feng's lips. 'An ant like this isn't even worth my time.'

"BANG!"

Without breaking stride, Lin Feng continued forward, viciously kicking the robed man and sending him flying like a sandbag.

"SPURT!"

He spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. The robed man was completely unable to get back up; Lin Feng had shattered several of his ribs. Even if he survived, he was now a cripple.

"You... you stay away! I'm warning you, the Black Tiger Gang is not to be trifled with!"

Shu Yuhang watched Lin Feng approach like the God of Slaughter himself. His pupils constricted and cold sweat streamed down his body. He knew he had encountered a true master this time!

This meant his life would end here. But he couldn't accept it. He was at the Black Tiger Gang's headquarters, yet even here, he was being slowly cornered by this God of Slaughter, Lin Feng!

The thought had barely formed in his mind when he felt an overwhelmingly powerful aura lock onto him—a killing intent so terrifying it made him tremble in fear.

At that moment, Lin Feng stood before him, looking down at him imperiously.

"No matter how powerful the Black Tiger Gang is, they can't save you now."

Lin Feng's voice was utterly frigid, like a whisper from the Nine Nether Hell. Hearing it, Shu Yuhang trembled uncontrollably, completely dumbfounded.

"THWACK!"

Lin Feng's hand clamped down on Shu Yuhang's forehead. At the same time, his short blade flashed across the man's neck. A line of red appeared, and then fresh blood gushed forth…

"THUD!"

Shu Yuhang collapsed to the ground, his eyes wide with disbelief. He couldn't rest in peace. He had never imagined he would die in a place like this. He was the son of the Black Tiger Gang's leader, the future Gang Leader himself!

It had all happened too suddenly, too fast. By the time he understood what was happening, he was already dead.

After a glance at Shu Yuhang's unblinking eyes, Lin Feng turned away. He hadn't wanted to kill such a small fry, but he'd had no choice. The man was the mastermind behind everything. If he hadn't hired an assassin, Lin Feng would never have been attacked.

This was how feuds in the martial world worked. Since the one who ordered the hit had been caught by Lin Feng, he was fated to pay a heavy price.

"You killed the son of the head of the Xijing Black Tiger Gang... Kid, you're a dead man walking! Haha... COUGH COUGH."

He had only taken two steps when a weak voice sounded from behind him. He turned to see the young man in the gray robe.

Somehow, the man had managed to prop himself up against a wall. His lips had turned a dark, purplish color; he was clearly poisoned.

Despite this, his gaze remained resolute, showing not a hint of fear. He knew their time was up.

"I'm a dead man walking?"

Lin Feng paused, then shook his head with a slight chuckle. 'How they overestimate themselves. A few pieces of trash who haven't even reached the Innate Realm, and they really think they're something special?'

"COUGH COUGH... Do you really think you're so strong?"

The gray-robed man was taken aback by Lin Feng's reaction, but he quickly recovered and spoke with a sneer.

He was well aware of Lin Feng's strength; he wasn't completely ignorant. Though they were all Ancient Martial Artists, the actual gap in power could be enormous.

But at the Black Tiger Gang's headquarters, an Innate Martial Artist is just a grunt. They wouldn't even qualify to be a team captain.

"I am strong. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to beat you into this sorry state."

Staring coldly at the man, Lin Feng gripped his short blade and slowly advanced.

Eradicating threats completely had always been his principle. He was especially merciless toward his enemies, never giving them a chance to recover. Otherwise, he would be the one to die.

Watching Lin Feng's back, the gray-robed man's mouth twitched. He really wanted to curse out loud; he truly hadn't expected Lin Feng to be this arrogant.

But things had already come to this; he had no other choice. Since Lin Feng was determined to kill him, his only option was to fight for his life. He knew he couldn't escape his fate, but he had to at least try.

In a flash, he vanished from his spot and reappeared two or three meters away from Lin Feng. His condition was abysmal.

But he had no other choice. To have any chance of survival, he had to use his ultimate skill—a teleporting body technique—to engage Lin Feng in close combat.
