Chapter 26- An Mo’s Fourth Divine Beast Bloodline

The old man frown slightly, feeling a rather strange sensation when meeting An Mo’s gaze, but not wanting to waste any more breath on these two, he said.

“Since you refuse, then don’t blame this old man for bulling you juniors.”

After saying that, the old man stretched out his hand toward An Mo and Xai Lin. However, before he could make his move, An Mo reacted before he could.

Leaving behind a cluster of black feathers, An Mo vanished and suddenly reappeared in the air above the old man’s head with his foot raise— as if to stomp him out of existence.

The old man’s pupils couldn’t help but constrict when he saw this scene. Even though his Divine Soul was weakened and restricted to a few meters around his body, it was not something those below the Soul Emergence Realm could evade. However, this Spirit Beast could appear within his perception without any prior warning. He simply couldn’t believe it.

“Just continue posturing like that old man.”

An Mo said with a sneer as his foot ruthlessly kicked toward the old man’s face. His bare foot, which was once a monkey’s foot, transformed mid kick into what looked like a creature’s hoof.

On that hoof, there were golden magical symbols that were emanating a rather archaic aura.

Despite the suddenness of An Mo’s attack, the old man was after all a Soul Emergence Realm cultivator. He reacted almost the instant An Mo kicked out, however, as he mobilized the sliver of Spear Intent within this Spirit Imprint, something shocking occurred that caused his eyes to go wide.

The Spear Intent, that was condensing on his hand to attack An Mo’s foot, collided with the archaic aura emanating from the golden symbols on An Mo’s foot, and like snow meeting water, it dissolved into nothingness.

Not only that, but the old man could also feel that his cultivation was faintly regressing. Even the knowledge he had accumulated for several thousand years seemed to be dispersing!

“This is...!”

The old man wanted to voice his shock, but before he could, An Mo’s hoof slammed into his face cutting him off.

With a “pop” An Mo’s foot directly shattered the old man’s Spirit Imprint.

Watching the dissipating golden specks of light that was once his grandfather Spear Intent Imprint in front of him, Sikong felt his entire body go numb from shock. He even almost failed to circulate his Spiritual Qi to continue maintaining himself in the air.

Suddenly, he felt a chilling gaze stab towards him. Looking up, he saw that strange Spirit Beast staring at him with a smiling expression. But that smile was too terrifying.

Shivering, Sikong floated backward while stuttering out.

“Fellow Daoist, it seems this matter has become a bit complicated. I offer an apology on my grandfather’s behalf.”

Hearing this, An Mo sneered, but he didn’t bother dealing with this bastard. His hand shot out and grabbed him by the neck like a helpless chick. He then dragged him along as he floated back towards Xai Lin.

Xai Lin herself was equally shocked by An Mo’s actions and was deep in thought trying to make sense of what just happened. It wasn’t until An Mo approached with Sikong did she snap out of it.

“How was it? Was I awesome or what?”

Looking at An Mo who had his chest puffed out, Xai Lin smiled and rubbed his head affectionately while saying.

“Hm, it seems I didn’t choose my Dao Partner wrongly.”

Upon hearing Xai Lin’s words, An Mo couldn’t help but blush a little, though he still felt happy to hear her praising him so sincerely.

“Was that an ability from your fourth Divine Beast bloodline?”

Xai Lin asked the question that had puzzled her. From what she just saw, it seemed An Mo had the ability to strip away that old man’s cultivation, however, such an ability was too shocking that she was starting to doubt her own eyes.

Nodded, An Mo said excitedly.

“Yeah, my fourth Divine Beast bloodline is that of a Qilin. In the past, the Heavenly Dao bestowed our race with the duty to honor Emperors and Immortals during their ascension, but this also includes those cultivators below them who go through Heavenly Tribulations. It’s because of this special status that one of my bloodline talents is the ability to strip cultivators, who had gone through a Heavenly Tribulation, of their cultivation realms.”

Upon hearing this, Xai Lin was a bit surprised, but it wasn’t by much. However, Sikong, who had been silent, had his heart almost jump out of his throat from fright.

What fourth Divine Bloodline? Wasn’t this a Spirit Beast with the ability to shapeshift? When did he become a monster with four Divine Beast Bloodlines?!

Sikong was so terrified his face had turned ghastly pale. If he had known such a thing existed in the Low-level Dimensional Fold of the Demonic Realm, he wouldn’t have stayed here to search for his treasure, much less try and ambushing it.

Sikong truly felt like the heavens had neglected its duty, actually not warning him to stay away from such a monster.

After thinking for a moment, Xai Lin’s expression became serious as she asked An Mo.

“Such an ability should have a limitation, or some form of backlash, right?”

Upon hearing this, An Mo scratched the back of his head and said weakly.

“It’s not that bad. I only need to draw on the power of two or more of my bloodlines when using it. As for it causing a backlash, that old man was only a Spirit Imprint. Plus, the Demonic Realm was also suppressing him. I’m not strong enough to deprive a true Soul Emergence Realm cultivator of their cultivation, but with those two factors, I’m relatively fine facing that old man, I only experience some loss of Spiritual Qi.”

Hearing this, Xai Lin nodded, while the worry in her heart eased.

“We’ve already obtained Bai Nou’s blood, so we should be able to leave soon.”

Hearing that, An Mo became excited once again. However, he soon remembered the person he was currently holding. Clicking his tongue in annoyance, he asked while shooting Sikong a disgusted look.

“What should we do with him?”

Xai Lin’s gaze landed on Sikong as well, and after a moment, she said.

“Let’s just bring him back with us to the Great Forest territory then go our separate ways.”

After what just happened, Xai Lin found herself not as worried about facing these main protagonists. Well, this was mainly because of An Mo’s existence. Based on his abilities, it seemed he was the true child of the Heavenly Dao, while those main protagonists merely have a bit of favor in comparison.

After huffing in discontent, An Mo gripped Sikong’s neck tightly and gently took Xai Lin’s small hand, before spreading his wings to cover them.

The black feathers on An Mo’s wings were soon covered with a ghostly black aura that spread to cover An Mo and the others. Then, after a few seconds of tense silence, violent spatial ripples appeared around the three youths before their figures vanished.

This time no black feathers were left behind when An Mo used his Three-legged Divine Crow’s ability, instead what was left behind was a crack in space that was emanating chaotic spatial ripples.
