Chapter 11- Outrageous Actions
“So, does this mean you won’t be able to obtain my bloodline?”
An Mo tried to hide his nervousness as he asked Xai Lin.
In response, Xai Lin pursed her little lips and remained silent. Only after a few seconds did she suddenly step forward towards An Mo while saying.
“I’m not resign to this outcome. It’s strange that my Heavenly Transformation Technique is unable to analyze your bloodline.”
Xai Lin stopped in front of An Mo and tilted her head back slightly to look up at him.
An Mo looked down at Xai Lin and while trying not to react to her being so close, he revealed a confused expression as he asked.
“Why do you say that? Could it not be that your Technique simply isn’t strong enough to obtain my bloodline?”
Xai Lin immediately snorted when she heard that.
“What do you know? My Heavenly Transformation Technique is a Divine Art from the Heaven and Earth Scripture!”
“The Heaven and Earth Scripture?!”
An Mo’s pupils suddenly constricted, and he unconsciously took half a step back. His round face held an expression of shock as he stared at Xai Lin.
Seeing his reaction, Xai Lin nodded internally before saying.
"It seemed you’ve seen it in the inherited memories within your bloodline."
Indeed, An Mo had seen this vile technique in all of his Divine Forms Legacy Memories, and they were all accompanied by a severe warning to avoid encountering someone who cultivated it. As for why this was the case; for Divine Creatures with an inherent sense of nobility, and who held pride for their bloodlines, of course they wouldn’t like it if their bloodlines were stolen.
But one could also see how terrifying this technique was. After all, what kind of Cultivation Technique could make several Mythical Divine creatures from legends embed its details in their Legacy Memories and passed it on to their offsprings, while adding a warning?
Surely it was a Cultivation Technique that went against the heavens!
Even though An Mo found several more of such techniques in his Legacy Memories, none held as much importance as this cultivation technique as it touched upon the foundation of a Divine Beast’s power and authority.
To think this technique would appear here on this crazy human girl.
But he should have known from the start. How could she obtain his bloodline without using such a vicious Divine Art?
However, thinking of how Xai Lin was unable to obtain his bloodline, An Mo sighed in relief. That warning in his Legacy Memories was extremely severe, to the point of stating that he would be going against his entire race if he allowed someone who cultivated that technique to obtain his blood.
Though he soon felt somewhat conflicted. Xai Lin had been sincere in this deal, so shouldn’t he also be more open-minded?
Slowly, at some point in his train of thought, An Mo started to think that his Ancestors were being a bit too dramatic. Xai Lin only wanted a drop of his blood, and she was even willing to fulfil one of his requests for it. Why refuse her?
So, without a shred of respect, An Mo quickly and ruthlessly cast that ominous warning to the back of his mind.
Looking at Xai Lin, he spoke sincerely.
“Since it’s the Heavenly Transformation Technique it’s indeed strange that it’s unable to analyze my bloodline. Do you want to try again? Maybe it’ll work on the second try.”
An Mo had an inkling as to why the technique wasn’t working, but he was afraid of voicing it in fear it might upset Xai Lin. If she got upset and went back on their deal, he would regret it for the rest of his life.
Xai Lin raised an eyebrow internally, not expecting An Mo to have such a reaction. He was back to being extremely obedient. She figured it might be because he was afraid she would cancel their deal and wouldn’t fulfill his request.
As for why he would be afraid she wouldn’t fulfill his request, Xai Lin knew without thinking too deeply what he wanted. After all, it was written all over his face ever since they met.
“Sure, let’s try again. From my estimations, two pure Divine Beast bloodlines shouldn’t have been able to mutate to this point, but its already like this, so it seems my estimation is off.”
An Mo, who was about to bite his finger, paused, while his heart gave a sudden jolt in his chest.
In that momentary pause, Xai Lin grabbed his hand and said.
“Let me do it.”
An Mo didn’t react for a moment, only when he felt a warm sensation envelop his finger, did he snap out of it. He stared at Xai Lin who had his finger in her small mouth with a dazed expression.
He felt a slight prick on his fingertip, which was followed by a faint sensation of his blood being sucked out of his finger.
An Mo’s breath hitched in his throat upon feeling that sensation. But what was more fatal was the tip of Xai Lin’s tongue occasionally brushing over his finger.
An Mo’s ears immediately turned bright red, almost blending into his hair. Nervous, he quickly lowered his head. When he saw no reaction down there, he sighed in relief internally, having dodged a major disaster.
After enduring a few breaths of severe torment, An Mo finally felt his finger being released. He could feel that Xai Lin had taken more than just a drop of his blood, perhaps it was several spoonfuls.
Looking over, he saw that she had her eyes closed.
He glanced at his left index finger that was just in someone else’s mouth. There were still faint traces of blood on it.
He had bitten his right index finger first, so maybe Xai Lin felt it was okay to personally bite this one?
However...
An Mo glanced at Xai Lin again, and seeing that she still had her eyes closed, he lifted his left index finger and placed it in his mouth.
The strong taste of his blood spread in his mouth, but his keen senses detected the faint trace of something else. Maybe it was just his imagination, but he felt that this faint trace tasted a bit sweet.
While An Mo had his finger in his mouth, he used the tip of his tongue to trace over where his wound previously was. Slowly, the redness on his ears spread to his cheeks. Soon, his entire body began to blush. This time it was far more intense than any other time.
An Mo’s red cheeks, along with his bright orange hair, made his little face look like a fully ripe tomato.
Unfortunately, Xai Lin had her eyes closed, so she was unable to see his outrageous actions.
