Chapter 153 : Alastair
Dean let out a frustrated sigh.
"Well, I’m out of ideas. She’s definitely not safe anywhere if the whole demon army is chasing her."
The three of them continued discussing their options, but Anna’s attention drifted toward the statue of the Virgin Mary near the altar.
Her eyes suddenly widened.
The statue was crying tears of blood.
"Henry," Anna called out, her voice tense.
Henry didn’t even turn around.
"One minute. We’re discussing something serious."
Anna looked back at the statue. Blood continued to trickle down the stone face as she stood frozen in place.
Before anyone could say another word, the front doors of the church slowly creaked open.
A middle-aged man in a dark suit calmly walked inside.
Dean glanced at him and, seeing nothing unusual at first, spoke casually.
"Sorry, Pops. The church isn’t open."
The man’s expression never changed as he continued walking toward them.
Henry took one look at him, and his face hardened. Without a moment’s hesitation, he pulled the angel blade from inside his jacket.
Anna gasped as her eyes locked onto the man’s face.
"It’s... horrifying."
She instinctively stumbled back a step, unable to tear her eyes away from whatever she was seeing.
Dean looked from Henry to the stranger, completely confused.
"What?"
Henry never lowered the blade.
"Dean, that isn’t some harmless old man."
His grip tightened around the weapon as he fixed his gaze on the newcomer.
"That thing is a demon."
The old man smiled.
"Well... as expected of Hell’s Most Troubled Maggot. You recognized me even through this human meat suit."
As he spoke, his eyes turned completely white.
Henry’s expression immediately darkened.
Fuck... Alastair.
He had been so focused on Anna that he had completely forgotten about him.
Alastair glanced toward Anna before looking back at Henry.
"But today I’m not here for you. I’m here for the girl."
A cruel smile spread across his face.
"So, if you don’t want to die today, step aside."
Henry answered without a second thought.
"Well, fuck you."
He kicked a nearby wooden table straight at Alastair before launching himself forward. Using the table as a distraction, Henry drove the angel blade directly toward Alastair’s heart.
Alastair reacted instantly.
He caught the flying table with one hand, using it as a shield. The angel blade punched through the thick wood, but just before it could reach his chest, Alastair caught Henry’s wrist.
A grin spread across the demon’s face.
"Well, you’ve got a nasty temper."
Henry glared at him.
"Yeah. Compared to you demons, I’m nothing."
A brilliant white glow ignited in Henry’s eyes as he poured more strength into his arm. The angel blade slowly forced its way through the shattered table, inch by inch, pressing against Alastair’s chest.
Alastair’s smile faded.
"Hmm..."
For the first time, genuine interest appeared in his expression.
"You really are something else."
Without warning, he released Henry’s wrist and swung his arm.
An invisible force hurled Henry upward, smashing him into the church ceiling before he crashed back onto the stone floor.
At the same instant, Dean drew the Colt and aimed it at Alastair. Before he could fire a single shot, the revolver was ripped from his hand by an unseen force and flew into Alastair’s waiting grasp.
"The Colt."
Alastair examined the legendary revolver for a brief moment before casually waving his free hand.
Sam and Dean were thrown through the air as though struck by a speeding truck.
Sam slammed into the large statue of the Virgin Mary, knocking it from its pedestal as it collapsed over him, while Dean blasted into the opposite wall with enough force to crack the old masonry.
"Fuck..."
Henry pushed himself up, his entire body aching from the impact.
These white-eyed demons are really fucking strong.
Before Henry could regain his footing, he looked up and saw Alastair calmly raising the Colt.
The demon leveled the legendary revolver directly at him.
Alastair smiled.
"I wonder..."
He tilted his head slightly.
"...can this gun kill you, Maggot?"
His finger slowly tightened around the trigger.
Henry’s pupils shrank.
Shit.
Alastair’s finger began to tighten on the trigger.
Henry didn’t wait.
There was no longer any point in hiding his abilities.
In a flash of white light, he vanished from where he stood and reappeared directly behind Alastair. His hand shot out, snatching the Colt from the demon’s grasp before he could fire.
But Alastair was faster than Henry expected.
The angel blade that had been knocked from Henry’s hand moments earlier suddenly shot off the floor. Guided by Alastair’s telekinesis, it flew through the air and plunged straight into Henry’s stomach before he had a chance to react.
Henry’s body tensed.
White light immediately began leaking from the wound.
Alastair’s expression shifted from amusement to confusion.
"So..."
His eyes narrowed as he stared at the glowing wound.
"You’re an angel?"
Henry didn’t answer.
Instead, his entire body erupted with blinding white light, illuminating every corner of the church. Dean, Sam, and Anna instinctively threw their arms over their eyes as the light became impossible to look at.
Alastair shut his eyes for only a brief moment.
When the light faded, he opened them again.
Henry was gone.
Dean, Sam, and Anna had vanished with him, leaving behind only the shattered remains of the church and the silence that followed.
