Chapter 107: Ch 107- Beast Tide
While Mo Yuan was peacefully sleeping inside Cang Lan Base, the situation outside had already changed completely.
The beasts of the Cang Wilderness had gathered together.
At the edge of the Inner Area, an enormous army of beasts covered the land.
Millions of beasts stood together, stretching as far as the eye could see. The ground trembled under their feet and countless roars and growls echoed through the wilderness.
In front of this terrifying army stood the giant mouse that had attended the meeting with the Flood Dragon.
The mouse was currently in its human-sized form but its expression was extremely serious.
Seeing the chaotic scene behind him, the mouse suddenly snorted.
Boom!
Its Mid Stage Sovereign Realm aura exploded outward.
"Quiet!"
The moment its voice sounded, the countless beasts immediately stopped making noise.
The entire area became silent.
The giant mouse looked at the army in front of him and began giving orders.
"Each beast tide attacking a Tier 3 base will consist of ten Peak Realm beasts and several thousand High Realm beasts."
"Once you reach the base, don’t give them any chance to organize their forces. Destroy their defenses as quickly as possible."
"As for the Tier 4 bases, each beast tide will consist of one Peak Realm beast and one hundred High Realm beasts."
"The remaining Low, Intermediate and Advanced Realm beasts will follow behind."
His eyes became cold.
"Take as much as you can."
The beasts below immediately became excited.
For them, humans were prey and a human base was simply a huge hunting ground filled with food.
The mouse suddenly released even more of its Sovereign Realm aura.
Boom!
Its body began expanding.
Two meters.
Ten meters.
Fifty meters.
One hundred meters.
In just a few seconds, the mouse had transformed into a gigantic beast nearly three hundred meters tall.
Its enormous body towered over the countless beasts below then it raised its head and looked toward the vast Cang Wilderness.
Then its voice spread across the wilderness like thunder.
"Destroy each and every base!"
"Don’t leave anyone behind!"
"Slaughter them all!"
ROAR!
Millions of beasts immediately let out terrifying roars.
The sound shook the sky and caused the ground to tremble violently.
"ROAR!"
The beast army finally began moving.
Millions of beasts rushed forward like a terrifying black tide. The ground shook beneath their feet as they charged toward the human bases.
Trees were knocked down, mountains trembled and countless birds fled into the sky.
The beast tide was finally unleashed and at the same time, the giant mouse returned to its smaller three-meter form.
It stood quietly and watched the enormous army disappear into the distance.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a shadow appeared above it.
A three-eyed raven descended from the sky and landed on its back.
The mouse glanced backward.
"What do you think of my plan?"
The three-eyed raven remained silent.
The mouse continued speaking with confidence.
"Tier 3 bases usually have only four or five Origin Lord Realm cultivators. Sending ten Peak Realm beasts is already more than enough."
"As for the Tier 4 bases, they barely have any Origin Soul Realm cultivators. One Peak Realm beast and a hundred High Realm beasts should be enough to crush them."
The mouse clearly believed its plan was flawless. After all, these were only small human bases.
There was no reason for them to lose.
However, the three-eyed raven’s expression remained indifferent.
After a moment, it finally spoke.
"No matter what you do..."
"Failure is not an option."
The mouse’s expression stiffened and before it could respond, the three-eyed raven spread its wings.
Whoosh!
It flew into the sky and quickly disappeared into the distance.
The giant mouse watched it fly away, its expression slowly became ugly.
"That ugly raven..."
It clenched its teeth.
"Always acting like she’s the smartest one."
The mouse snorted.
"Hmph."
Then it turned around and looked toward the direction of the beast tide.
A sinister smile appeared on its face.
"Just wait and see."
"This time, those humans will understand what it means to provoke the Cang Wilderness."
At the same time, deep within the Forbidden Area of Cang Wilderness, at the foot of Flame Mountain, the manor was completely silent.
The old man sat alone on the main seat, his eyes closed as if he had fallen asleep. His body looked completely ordinary, without any powerful aura leaking from him. Yet the entire space around him seemed to carry an invisible pressure.
Suddenly, the sound of wings came from outside.
The three-eyed raven flew through the entrance and soon arrived before the old man. It stopped in midair, then its body flashed with a strange light.
With a soft flutter, its enormous body transformed into a human figure.
She was about 150 centimeters tall. She had dark skin, long black hair and a strand of bangs falling across one side of her face. A small mole rested beneath one of her eyes, giving her an unusual appearance. Like most beasts that transformed into human form, she still carried a faint trace of her original beastly aura.
Some Sovereign beasts could transform into human form.
It was neither extremely rare nor particularly common.
However, most beasts disliked humans and had no interest in becoming like them because of that, only a small number of powerful beasts were willing to take human form.
The woman bowed slightly toward the old man.
"Master, everything is ready. That stinky mouse has already organized the beast tide and they have set off."
"Soon, by morning, the beast tides will reach their designated locations."
The old man did not respond.
The woman remained standing there for a moment before hesitating.
She glanced at the old man and finally gathered the courage to speak.
"Master, what if the Holy Base sends a Monarch Realm cultivator or someone even stronger?"
As soon as those words were spoken, the old man’s closed eyes slowly opened.
His gaze was calm but for some reason, the moment his eyes opened, the temperature inside the manor seemed to drop.
"They won’t."
His voice was calm and certain.
"Because once they do, this will no longer be a simple conflict between the beasts and Cang Lan Base. It will turn into a full-blown war."
The old man leaned back against the main seat.
"The Council has already made its decision. I am only doing what I was ordered to do."
A faint smile appeared on his face.
"At most, Cang Lan Base will suffer more damage. After all, this time, they were the ones who provoked us."
His eyes narrowed slightly.
"And once this matter is settled, we will be able to obtain even more Primordial Qi Stones from them."
"Hahahaha!"
His laughter echoed through the empty manor.
The three-eyed raven lowered her head and remained silent.
At the same time, far away from Flame Mountain, inside Cang Lan Base, on the top floor of the Human Federation’s Cultivation Tower, three old men and a man in his thirties were gathered around a large table.
The atmosphere inside the room was extremely heavy.
No one spoke.
On the table was a huge projection displaying the map of Cang Lan Base and the surrounding territories.
Several red points had already appeared on the map and they were moving closer.
