Chapter 35
When morning came, Sam pretended to wake up, smiling as if nothing had happened.
Looking at sleeping Diana's face beside him, he leaned over and kissed her softly on the forehead. She stirred slightly at his touch and opened her eyes.
"Good morning, baby." Diana greeted him with a lazy grin, wrapping her arm around his neck before pulling him down for a morning kiss.
Sam didn't hesitate and responded to her kiss, his lips moving against hers with ease and familiarity. They kissed for a while, enjoying the taste of each other, before Diana parted her lips from him.
"Someone is eager today," she teased. Her hands went down to his morning wood, which was poking her stomach. "Want to continue from last night? We can take a quick one before a shower. How about it?"
Her offer was tempting, but Sam was still distracted and didn't feel like doing it. Not yet.
Instead, with a faint smile, Sam cupped Diana's cheek. "Actually, I think we need a break, you know? Our bodies are exhausted from all the fucking we did yesterday. Don't you feel sore down there? It'll hurt if I enter you again right now. Let's give ourselves some time to recover."
Diana raised an eyebrow at his response. It was not what she expected, especially after the way he kissed her earlier.
However, she did feel sore a little, so she nodded reluctantly. "You have a point. I didn't expect us to go at it that much. It felt so good I completely lost track of how many times you made me cum."
"Me neither," Sam laughed lightly. "I think it's safe to say we are addicted to each other. So how about we take a shower and get some breakfast?"
"Sounds like a plan."
Sam stood up from the bed and picked up Diana in a bridal carry. She yelped in surprise before laughing happily. "Whoa, aren't you energetic after saying you needed a break?"
"Just carrying you to the bathroom doesn't count. Come on, let's go." Sam chuckled as he walked into the bathroom with her in his arms.
Together, they showered and washed each other. It was intimate and playful, but Sam didn't let it go beyond innocent touches. He simply enjoyed the warmth and closeness.
They then got dressed and went to the dining room for breakfast. Sam was impressed by the spread of food laid out for them, which made him wonder how many maids Diana had.
"This looks amazing," he complimented while taking a seat.
"Yeah, one of the benefits of having a rich family." Diana smiled and sat beside him, helping herself to some food. "They always make sure I'm fed well, even when I'm alone. Though sometimes, I miss eating instant noodles or street food."
"I'll take the responsibility of feeding you street food whenever you crave it. How does that sound?" Sam offered as he ate his breakfast. "I know a few good places that aren't too unhealthy or unhygienic."
Diana grinned at his words. "I'd like that. And who knows, you might even get a reward for being so caring."
She winked suggestively, implying something sexual.
"I look forward to that reward." Sam grinned back.
After they had their breakfast, they went out for a walk around the neighbourhood. It was a beautiful day, with clear skies and fresh air.
They walked hand in hand, chatting and laughing as if they were the only two people in the world. Something that new couples often did.
Eventually, they reached a small park, and Diana suggested sitting on a bench to relax.
Sam agreed and let her pull him along. As soon as he sat down, Diana climbed onto his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck, making him chuckle.
"What are you doing? I thought we were resting, not cuddling."
"Aren't you the one who said I was too light? And I love sitting on your lap. It feels comfortable." Diana said matter-of-factly, snuggling closer to him. "Besides, you're not complaining, are you?"
With Diana in his lap, Sam's arms naturally went around her waist. She smelled sweet, and her softness felt good against his body. There was no way he would complain.
"No. You're right." Sam replied with a soft smile.
They then fell into a comfortable silence, looking at each other's faces, admiring each other's features. It felt peaceful and blissful, like time had slowed down.
Suddenly, Diana moved her hands to cup Sam's cheeks and looked deeply into his eyes. "Sam... I really enjoy spending time together with you. And not just because of the amazing sex. You're also fun and caring and kind. I feel comfortable with you."
Sam blinked at her words. Her tone was sincere without a hint of teasing. He felt his heart warm up and couldn't help but tighten his arms around her.
"I feel the same way, Diana. You make me happy, more than I expected." He paused for a moment before continuing, "I know we just met a couple of days ago, and things might have moved too fast between us. But... I want you to know that I'm serious about you. About us. I don't want this to be just a fling or a phase. So, if you feel the same..."
Diana silenced him with a kiss. Her lips pressed against his, her eyes closed as if she were savoring the moment.
For Sam, the kiss wasn't as passionate as before, but it felt more special. He could feel emotions pouring out through it.
After a few seconds, Diana pulled away, resting her forehead against his. She then said softly, "I do. I feel the same, Sam. You're different from the others, and I like it. Let's keep this relationship strong and steady. Deal?"
"Deal." Sam agreed with a grin. He then leaned in and kissed her again.
This time, Diana let him take the lead. Her body relaxed against his as their lips moved in sync.
Yet in Sam's mind, an image of Jake holding Diana the previous night flashed. That scene made his heart clench. He didn't know why it bothered him so much when he had spent so much quality time with Diana since the morning and she had shown him her feelings clearly.
It must have been a misunderstanding or something else.
