Chapter 157: Clearing up
The Wraith Lord suddenly appeared behind Garuk.
It raised its weapon and attacked.
Boom!
The attack struck Garuk’s back, but his armor blocked most of the damage. Garuk immediately turned around and swung his weapon at the Wraith Lord.
However, the Wraith Lord disappeared before the attack could reach it.
Kaiser watched the battle carefully.
’Interesting.’
This Wraith Lord wasn’t particularly strong compared to his undead, but its ability to hide its presence was extremely useful.
Kaiser looked at it interestingly.
’This type of ability would be perfect for the thief-type undead I’m looking for.’
Unlike the other Wraith Lords they had encountered, this one actively relied on its stealth ability during battle. It was clear that it had focused much more on hiding its presence and attacking from the shadows.
Kaiser looked at it with interest.
"This one will be perfect for my next creation."
He then gave an order.
"Selene, kill it fast."
Selene nodded.
"Yes"
She disappeared from her position.
A moment later, she reappeared beside the Wraith Lord.
The Wraith Lord tried to activate its stealth ability again, but Selene was already prepared for it.
She moved faster and struck it before it could disappear.
Boom!
The Wraith Lord’s body was heavily damaged.
It staggered backward, but Selene did not give it any chance to escape.
She attacked again and completely destroyed its remaining defenses.
Suddenly, a slender arm emerged from the Wraith Lord’s chest.
It was holding a small, round jewel.
Kaiser immediately recognized it.
’Its Soul Core.’
Selene yanked the soul core out of him brutally.
The Wraith Lord’s body became unstable and slowly disappeared.
Selene walked back toward Kaiser and handed him the Soul Core.
"Thank you."
Kaiser smiled as he accepted it and stored the Soul Core in his inventory.
’This should be enough for my next undead creation.’
With the special Wraith Lord defeated, Kaiser and his undead continued exploring the third floor.
They searched through every area and killed all the remaining Wraiths they encountered.
The other Wraith Lords were much less troublesome than the stealth-focused one. They were quickly defeated by Kaiser’s undead army, and their corpses were collected.
After some time, the entire third floor had been cleared.
Kaiser looked around the empty dungeon.
"That’s everything."
His undead had collected almost every useful corpse they could find.
With the third floor completely cleared, Kaiser prepared to leave the dungeon with his undead army.
"That was way easier than I thought it would be," Michael suddenly said.
Emilia nodded.
"Yeah. Kaiser, it seems the class you got is much more powerful than I originally thought."
By this point, both Michael and Emilia had already connected the dots.
Selene, Rachel, and the other powerful undead were all creations of Kaiser, and the abilities of his class were clearly far beyond what they had expected.
They had seen information about Necromancer-type classes that allowed their users to control corpses and create undead. Some powerful Necromancers could even create unique-rank undead.
However, they had never heard of a Necromancer being capable of creating so many powerful undead, especially undead that had reached the Legendary Rank.
Kaiser simply shrugged.
"I was lucky with my Talent. It helped me a lot."
Michael and Emilia nodded.
They knew Kaiser’s Talent was extraordinary, but they also understood that he did not want to reveal too much about it.
Soon, the group left the dungeon.
The moment they stepped outside, the fresh air felt much better after spending so much time inside the dark dungeon.
Kaiser looked toward Winter Hold City.
"We should head back."
Everyone agreed.
After collecting their belongings and recalling the undead that were no longer needed, the group began their journey back to Winter Hold City.
They had already accomplished everything they wanted from the dungeon, so there was no reason to stay any longer.
By the time they reached the city, everyone decided to call it a day and return to the real world to rest.
They all logged out, and the next second, they were back in the original world.
Kaiser also bid Marina farewell and told her to work on the things they had found in the dungeon. He also gave her all the other alchemy ingredients he had collected and asked her to see if she could create something new from them.
Marina nodded and kissed him goodbye before leaving.
Kaiser then turned toward his parents.
"Kaiser, you should also get ready for your classes. There are only two days left," his mother said.
Kaiser nodded.
The academy had given him a week to catch up with others, but he had managed to finish everything within a few days.
The main reason was, of course, his Talent.
’My Reconstruction Talent really makes things much easier.’
Thinking about his friends, Kaiser decided to call them and see how they were doing.
He first called Alicia, but after a few rings, the call went to voicemail.
"Hey, Alicia here. I’ve gone to the Cosmic World. If you need anything, just leave a message."
Kaiser recorded a short message.
"I’m Rank 1 now. What about you? Give me a call when you get back."
He then ended the call.
Next, Kaiser called Alex. He half expected Alex to be in the Cosmic World as well.
However, the moment the call connected, Alex’s excited voice came from the other side.
"Hey, dude! You won’t believe what happened to me!"
His voice was so loud that Kaiser immediately moved the phone away from his ear.
"Bitch, are you trying to make me deaf with all that shouting?" Kaiser complained.
Alex completely ignored him.
"Forget that. Listen! I got an inheritance, and it’s a powerful one!"
Kaiser raised an eyebrow.
"An inheritance?"
"Yeah! And that’s not even the best part."
On the other side, Alex was looking at his Cosmic Sheet with excitement.
He had stumbled upon an inheritance connected to the Past Kings.
As part of the inheritance, he had obtained a powerful new class.
His original class had been replaced by the SSS-Rank class Emerald Jade Knight Emperor, which he had obtained from the Trial of the Past Kings.
The new class gave him additional Stat Points every time he leveled up, allowing his overall growth to be much faster than before.
But that wasn’t the only benefit.
Alex had also obtained a Supreme Life Affinity.
Because of it, his natural regeneration had increased to an absurd level.
Even if someone cut off one of his limbs, he could regenerate it within seconds.
Alex looked at his Cosmic Sheet with excitement.
"I really hit the jackpot this time."
