Chapter 158: Powerful Inheritance
Kaiser asked curiously, "How much of a jackpot are you talking about?"
Alex immediately became even more excited.
"Listen, not only did I get an SSS-Rank class, but I also got an SS-Rank Talent called Jade Life Ruler. You can think of it as a plant-control Talent, but it’s much more versatile than that. I’m telling you, it’s seriously powerful."
Kaiser listened quietly.
Alex continued without giving him a chance to interrupt.
"And that’s not even everything. I also got a whole set of weapons, along with several pieces of equipment and other items. Like I said, this isn’t just some random reward. It’s an entire inheritance from a past Elven King!"
He sounded extremely excited.
"Damn, I really wish you guys were there. If you had been there when I found it, you could have obtained it too."
Kaiser smiled.
"Really? The inheritance space is still there?"
"Yeah."
Alex’s voice became more serious.
"According to the inheritance guardian, the inheritance space moves every six months. There are still three months left before it moves again, so the inheritance should still be there."
Kaiser nodded.
"Alright. I’m coming to your place."
"Yeah, come over. I’ll show you my new class and the powers I got."
Kaiser shook his head.
"I mean the place where you are in the Cosmic World."
There was a brief silence on the other side.
"Huh? How can you do that?"
Alex was clearly confused.
Kaiser smiled.
"Of course I can. Just wait for me there. Come to the Moonlight Cafe."
"Moonlight Cafe?"
"Yeah. Let’s meet there."
Alex paused for a moment.
"Alright. I’ll go there."
He was still curious about how Kaiser planned to reach him while they were both in different locations.
Kaiser ended the call.
He had already learned that Alex had obtained a powerful inheritance, and now he wanted to see it for himself.
More importantly, if the inheritance space really remained open for another three months, Kaiser didn’t want to waste the opportunity.
He had no idea what kind of rewards were hidden inside an inheritance left behind by an ancient Elven King.
Kaiser looked toward his parents.
"I need to go somewhere for a while."
Michael and Emilia looked at him.
"Where are you going?" Emilia asked.
"I’m going to meet Alex."
His parents nodded.
Kaiser left and soon arrived at the beautiful Moonlight Cafe.
Despite its name, the cafe wasn’t simply a normal building decorated with moon-themed items. Because of spatial expansion magic, the inside was much larger than the outside.
The entire place looked like a massive garden.
Countless Moonlight Roses covered the fields, creating a beautiful sea of silver and pale-blue flowers.
They were considered some of the most beautiful flowers ever discovered by humans. Moonlight Roses were also considered one of the best gifts someone could give to their partner, especially if they were planning to propose.
The petals looked like liquid moonlight that had taken the shape of roses. Their fragrance was gentle and calming, and it was said that the lingering scent could calm even an extremely aggressive person.
However, the sheer number of Moonlight Roses growing throughout the garden could make their fragrance dangerous.
Too much exposure could put someone into a deep sleep, almost like being heavily drugged.
Because of this, several powerful magic formations had been placed throughout the garden. They controlled the concentration of the fragrance and kept it below dangerous levels.
Kaiser walked through the flower fields and found an empty gazebo.
He sat down and ordered a cup of coffee.
A beautiful waitress soon brought his coffee and politely left.
About five minutes later, Alex arrived.
He immediately walked toward the gazebo and sat down across from Kaiser.
"Tell me, how can you come to my place?"
Alex looked at him seriously.
If Kaiser had a way to enter the mysterious forest where Alex was trapped, then perhaps he could also help him leave it.
Alex had already obtained a powerful inheritance, but he still didn’t want to remain trapped in the forest forever.
Especially now that he had become much stronger.
Kaiser smiled.
"I have a way."
He reached into his storage space and took out a Magic Contract.
Alex stared at the contract before his eyes widened.
"Damn... How do you always find good stuff like this?"
Kaiser simply smiled in response.
"I’ve already imprinted it. Let’s find a safe place and log in. I can’t wait to get myself a piece of that inheritance too."
Alex nodded immediately.
He quickly booked a private Cosmic Room inside the cafe.
The two entered the room and logged into the Cosmic World.
The next second, Alex appeared in Winter Hold City.
A notification suddenly appeared in front of Kaiser.
[Alexander is summoning you. Do you accept?]
Kaiser pressed Yes.
A spatial magic circle immediately appeared beneath his feet.
The next moment, his vision blurred.
When it cleared, Kaiser found himself standing beside a large lake surrounded by a massive forest.
Alex was standing nearby.
"You are here."
Kaiser nodded and looked around.
"Where are we?"
"This is the Mysterious Forest. We are currently inside the Elven Kingdom."
Kaiser looked around with interest.
The forest was enormous, with giant trees covering the entire area. The air was filled with natural energy, and even the plants seemed different from those found around Winter Hold City.
In a way they are more alive and vibrant, he can sense thick life energy from them as if any moment they will grow legs and start moving.
Alex then waved his hand.
"Leave that aside for now. Let’s go and get you into the inheritance."
He suddenly jumped into the lake.
Splash!
Kaiser stared at him for a moment before quickly following.
"Wait for me!"
He jumped into the water as well.
The two quickly sank beneath the surface.
The lake was much deeper than Kaiser expected.
Alex continued swimming downward without slowing down.
Kaiser followed him while using his Mana to protect himself from the pressure.
After several minutes, the surroundings became completely dark.
Alex continued moving until he reached the bottom of the lake.
A small underwater passage was hidden between several large rocks.
Alex entered the passage.
Kaiser followed him.
The two continued through the narrow underwater tunnel for several minutes before finally reaching a large opening.
Alex surfaced first.
Kaiser followed and looked around.
They had entered a massive underground cave.
Blue glowing plants covered the walls and ceiling, providing enough light to see the surroundings.
Ancient markings were carved into the stone walls.
Kaiser looked at them with curiosity.
"This place..."
Alex nodded.
"Yeah. This is where I found the inheritance."
He pointed deeper into the cave.
"The inheritance guardian is further inside."
Kaiser looked toward the darkness ahead.
"Then let’s go."
The two began walking deeper into the cave.
Neither of them noticed that the ancient markings on the walls began glowing faintly as Kaiser passed them.
A few moments later, a powerful presence suddenly appeared from deeper inside the cave.
Alex immediately stopped walking.
"He’s here."
Kaiser looked forward.
A figure slowly stepped out from the darkness.
The person wore ancient silver armor.
Long white hair fell over his shoulders, and his blue eyes calmly stared at Kaiser.
