My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 310: Comparing Cards

"That’s right! You only said my brother-in-law can hold his liquor. You never said he had to be the one to finish it," Su Jun said, the realization suddenly hitting him.

As he spoke, he turned to Jiang Tao and gave him a thumbs-up.

Hearing this, everyone else chimed in.

This left the group of bridesmaids opposite them speechless and fuming.

"Fine, we’ll let you have this one. You found a loophole," the lead bridesmaid said, unwilling to concede. "But I refuse to believe you people can actually finish all of it!"

However, she was about to eat her words.

The ten cases of baijiu were quickly divvied up among the group of young men behind Jiang Tao, each taking a bottle.

There weren’t even enough to go around; many of them looked on with pitiful expressions, left empty-handed.

The next moment, they all tipped their heads back and chugged. A whole bottle of 104-proof baijiu, gone in one go.

"Damn, are you guys all this hardcore?" Su Jun said in astonishment.

Chu Feng glanced over, raising an eyebrow. He was genuinely surprised.

’So Jiang Tao came prepared. Every single one of these guys is a beast when it comes to drinking. At the very least, they can each handle several bottles.’

"Bro, just relax. I’ve got it all sorted out for you," Jiang Tao whispered in Chu Feng’s ear with a smile.

"Are they all really such heavyweights?" Chu Feng asked, intrigued.

"Not all of them," Jiang Tao said. "The best can slam ten bottles. The worst of them can handle at least two without getting drunk."

"Where on earth did you find these guys?" Chu Feng’s curiosity grew.

"I pulled some strings," Jiang Tao whispered. "You think these rich bosses don’t have professional drinkers on call? Guys who can drink all night without getting tipsy are easy to find. I told every one of them: finish one bottle, and I’ll give you ten thousand, straight up."

"Damn! That’s brutal!" Chu Feng said, giving him a thumbs-up.

Ten thousand for one bottle!

’If this were back when I was still in sales,’ he thought, ’I would’ve downed two bottles without a second thought.’

In less than three minutes, all the baijiu was gone.

"Okay, you’ve passed the first trial. But there’s still a second," the lead bridesmaid said. She was clearly intimidated by the display.

None of them had expected this Jiang Tao, the absolute madman, to come so prepared.

"What’s the second trial?" Chu Feng asked.

"We’ve heard you’re a shark at cards. How about we play a little game? You win, and you can go right in." As she spoke, someone quickly brought out a table and a deck of cards.

Chu Feng was speechless when he heard this. ’Play cards with me? Are they asking to be humiliated?’

"So what’s the game? High card?" Chu Feng asked with a smile.

"That’s right. One deck. There are twelve of us here. You’ll play one round against each of us. You have to beat at least ten to pass. If you lose a round, not only do you have to give us a red envelope, you also have to give us a kiss," a particularly stunning bridesmaid said.

The way she spoke, her posture, and her incredible figure instantly made many of the men in the crowd flush with envy.

"Are you sure about that?" Chu Feng asked.

’This is so easy it’s embarrassing,’ Chu Feng thought, though he didn’t say it out loud. ’And they call this a challenge?’

"Of course," the glamorous bridesmaid said. "I’ll go first."

Her shuffling was masterful—fluid, graceful, and incredibly fast.

In no time, she finished shuffling and drew a card.

She flipped the card over.

A King of Spades!

"Whoa, that’s high! He’s probably going to lose, right?" the crowd murmured in surprise.

"Your turn," she said with a smug smile after drawing her card.

"Unless you draw the King of Hearts or a Joker, you’ve already lost," the glamorous bridesmaid said, her smile brimming with confidence.

Seeing this, Chu Feng just smiled. "Is that so? Then I guess I’ll just have to draw the King of Hearts."

With that, Chu Feng casually drew a card from the deck.

He flipped it over.

Everyone leaned in to get a look.

"It really is the King of Hearts!" the crowd gasped.

"That’s unbelievable!" The bridesmaids were completely stunned.

"I can’t believe it. You’re incredible!" The glamorous bridesmaid’s eyes were wide with astonishment.

"Fengzi, give her a red envelope," Chu Feng said to Gao Feng.

"You got it." Gao Feng immediately pulled out a thick red envelope. It looked like it contained a whole wad of cash.

"Are you dense? Just one? Give her a few more," Chu Feng said, nudging Gao Feng.

"Huh? Ah? Oh."

Gao Feng fumbled for a moment before grabbing several more red envelopes from his bag.

"I don’t suppose you’re single, are you? This brother of mine is on the market," Chu Feng said with a grin, gesturing toward Gao Feng.

"Your friend’s a bit of a dope. Not my type," the glamorous bridesmaid said, rejecting him outright. Her honesty was brutal.

She didn’t beat around the bush at all.

Despite her glamorous appearance, her figure and overall presence were undeniably top-class.

A flash of disappointment crossed Gao Feng’s eyes when he heard her words.

The truth was, he had been quite taken with the glamorous bridesmaid. She was undeniably beautiful.

"You’re giving me red envelopes even though I lost? And so many?"

"Of course," Chu Feng said with a broad smile. "Today’s my big day. Everyone who came to the wedding gets one. Besides, you’re all Miaoke’s classmates and best friends. As long as everyone’s happy, the red envelopes won’t run out."
