Chapter 309: Beautiful Bridesmaids
In truth, he was even more shocked. Jiang Tao was simply too good at handling things.
It was no wonder someone like him had made it this far in life; it wasn’t for nothing.
The grand procession of five hundred cars departed from Beihai Airport, heading for Su Miaoke’s home.
At that moment, all of Beihai’s social circles were in an uproar, with all sorts of gossip flying around.
"Have you guys heard? Some tycoon in Beihai is getting married today."
"Really? Which one? Are they famous?"
Groups of people were all gossiping, trying to get any news about the wedding.
This sort of gossip and these kinds of questions were popping up everywhere.
「The Su Family Villa.」
The entire Su Family villa was a vibrant scene, festooned with lanterns and colorful banners.
Su Miaoke’s parents sat in the living room, smiling from ear to ear.
They were, of course, well aware of how magnificent this wedding was, and it made them feel incredibly proud.
This was something they could brag about for centuries!
"Su Jun, has your brother-in-law arrived yet?" Chu Feng’s mother-in-law asked anxiously as she dialed Su Jun’s number.
She was both nervous and worried.
"He’s here, he’s here! He landed at the airport twenty minutes ago. I’m with my brother-in-law right now. We’re on our way back. Want to say a few words to him?" Su Jun said to his mom.
Su Jun looked helplessly at Chu Feng.
"Brother-in-law, see how anxious Mom is? You should talk to her for a bit," Su Jun said.
"Mom," Chu Feng called out.
"Oh, Xiao Feng! Where are you? Are you here yet?" his mother-in-law asked, still anxious.
"Mom, we’re almost there, another five minutes. You guys get ready," Chu Feng said with a smile.
"Okay, okay, great! Hurry up, then. I can’t wait any longer!" his mother-in-law said, laughing.
Soon, the cars pulled into the Su Family’s villa grounds.
Due to limited space, only about twenty cars drove in. The rest were parked in the large lot outside.
"Let’s go, let’s go! Brother-in-law, we have to hurry, or Mom’s going to come running out after us." Su Jun pulled Chu Feng toward the house, and the others followed.
Soon, all sorts of celebratory poppers went off.
Hearing the festive noise, Su Miaoke’s parents knew they had arrived.
"They’re here! Let’s hurry!" Chu Feng’s mother-in-law said, pulling Su Linsheng upstairs with her.
"If the groom wants to see the bride, he’ll have to get through our challenges first." Just as they reached the door, Chu Feng and his entourage were blocked.
It was a group of women, each one a knockout. Even the plainest among them could be considered the prettiest girl in her class.
It went without saying that these women were the bridesmaids.
But there were certainly a lot of them.
Su Miaoke was gorgeous, and so were all her best friends.
"If you want to marry our Miaoke, it’s not going to be that easy," one of the beauties said with a smile. "She was our school beauty, you know. We never thought a guy like you would come and snatch her away."
"Haha, the honor is all mine. Just a stroke of dumb luck, really. So, what kind of games do you have in mind for me?" Chu Feng asked with a laugh.
"I hear you can really hold your liquor. How about a little drink? Finish all of this, and we’ll say you’ve passed the first challenge," the beauty said.
"Drinking? Sure, bring it all on," Chu Feng said with a smile.
’Trying to out-drink him? Weren’t they just asking for trouble?’
"Alright, a man of action," the beauty said with a smile, and the bridesmaids parted to make way.
Behind them stood at least ten cases of liquor.
And from the looks of the packaging, it was all damn baijiu!
"Holy crap, that much?" Su Jun was stunned when he saw all the baijiu.
A case holds about six bottles, so ten cases meant sixty bottles.
Even Chu Feng raised an eyebrow when he saw that much liquor.
’Damn, these girls are ruthless. They’re playing for keeps.’
He hadn’t expected them to be this vicious and bring out so much.
"What are you trying to do, kill him?" Su Jun’s eyes went wide as he pointed at the women.
"Tch! The groom just agreed to it himself," the beauty said with a smirk. Her tone was rather infuriating. "Besides, if he wants to marry our Miaoke, does he not even have this much nerve?"
"Fine." Chu Feng nodded. It was a lot of liquor, but it wouldn’t be enough to get him drunk. The worst he’d get was a bloated stomach.
But just as he was about to step forward, Jiang Tao stepped out and said with a smile, "Alright, boys, let’s go! One bottle each!"
At Jiang Tao’s command, a crowd of men surged forward.
"Hey, hey, hey! What do you think you’re doing? Are you trying to cheat?" the lead bridesmaid demanded, suddenly anxious and visibly displeased.
"What? Are we cheating? You said ’have a drink,’ but you never specified that my brother here had to drink it all himself. As long as the liquor gets finished, that counts, right?" Jiang Tao retorted with a smile.
He was perfectly composed as he spoke, a wide grin on his face.
Jiang Tao truly was a sly old fox.
These young women might be beautiful, but trying to go toe-to-toe with Jiang Tao was impossible. He had rendered them speechless in just a few sentences.
