My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 305: 28 Airplanes

"Master, you’re at the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm," Bai Xue said. "Your lifespan should be very long. How could you only have a few years left?"

"Enough. I won’t discuss this with you further," the old woman said. "Go and get ready. We’ll set out in three days."

"Yes, Master," Bai Xue said happily. She was absolutely thrilled. She had never been outside in her entire life.

It was only natural, as she had never seen the outside world. The farthest she had ever been was still within the confines of the Great Snow Mountain in the Northwest.

Time passed quickly, and Chu Feng’s wedding day drew near.

To create a proper sense of occasion for the wedding, Jiang Tao had booked an entire hotel in the county seat.

A team of several hundred staff arrived, dedicated solely to Chu Feng’s wedding.

From the planning and décor to the choice of wedding cars, Jiang Tao personally supervised every detail.

He even proposed a particular plan to Chu Feng.

"Brother Chu, how about this? The day before the wedding, what if we bring your bride-to-be back to Beihai? We can start the procession from there." Jiang Tao had come to Fuhe Village in person.

The moment Jiang Tao saw Fuhe Village, he was stunned.

’Damn, they made this place so luxurious?’

He had assumed Chu Feng’s village would be a small, rural place, just another spot in the countryside.

But he never expected Chu Feng to have transformed it into such a luxurious location.

He’d heard Wang Hong mention that Chu Feng was rebuilding his family home, but he had assumed it was just Chu Feng’s own house.

’Only now do I see it. The guy renovated the entire village!’

’But then again, it makes sense. After all, Chu Feng is the Young Master of the Chu Family, worth tens of billions himself.’

’How could he not renovate the village? He has more than enough money anyway.’

"Start the procession from Beihai?" Chu Feng asked, slightly confused.

He wasn’t entirely sure what Jiang Tao was planning, but he had a pretty good guess.

’Don’t tell me he wants to use airplanes for the wedding procession, like last time?’

"That’s right, we’ll start from Beihai! I’ll have my five private jets sent over, get Sixth Master Zhao to send his ten over as well, and then I’ll call in some favors to get us a total of twenty-eight jets. Brother, isn’t it your twenty-eighth birthday this year?" Jiang Tao said with a grin.

"Holy hell, you’re going that big?" Chu Feng was utterly shocked when he heard this.

’A wedding procession with twenty-eight jets... a spectacle like that would be unprecedented anywhere in the world, wouldn’t it?’

"You call this big? I think it’s still a little small," Jiang Tao said. "I was originally going to pull some strings to get a few military aircraft, but I decided against it. That would be too flashy and would probably make us a public target."

"Military aircraft? You’ve got some nerve to even think of that!" Chu Feng’s eyes went wide.

The thought had never even crossed his mind. Using military aircraft for a wedding procession would likely earn him the condemnation of the entire nation.

"Let’s skip the military aircraft. You can arrange the rest, Brother Jiang," Chu Feng said with a smile. "But I have to admit, this talk of twenty-eight jets has piqued my interest."

He was quite pleased with these wedding plans. After all, this was his and his bride’s first and only wedding; it had to be a grand affair.

"Great, it’s a deal then," Jiang Tao said with a grin. "I’ll arrange to have the Young Master’s Wife picked up. I guarantee you’ll be more than satisfied, Brother Chu."

As long as Chu Feng agreed, everything would be easy to arrange.

Around this time, the young men from the village who had been working elsewhere began to return home.

Although Chu Feng’s family had only been in the village for three generations and had no other relatives there, they were on good terms with the other villagers.

There had been times when they were the subject of gossip, but the vast majority of the villagers were simple, honest folk. Whenever someone faced real hardship, everyone would pitch in to help.

That was why Chu Feng was willing to spend so much money to rebuild his entire home village.

Otherwise, he might not have ever returned.

"Feng, I hear you’ve struck it rich out there. You’ve done so much for the village, we really have to thank you. But hey, you got any decent jobs over where you are? Why not take a few of us brothers with you? It’s damn hard to find work these days."

"Especially those bastard bosses. They don’t treat us like human beings. We get chewed out for no reason, and they’re always docking our pay. It’s so damn frustrating."

"Yeah, the pay is low, the hours are long, and we’re constantly being exploited."

Many of the young men who had grown up with Chu Feng gathered around to chat with him.

Chu Feng was living the high life now. A ton of workers had come to the village to decorate the whole place and make it look beautiful for the wedding.

They had even asked the workers about their pay. When they heard everyone was getting two thousand a day, they couldn’t believe how hard the crew was working.

Two thousand! The number made many of their eyes practically pop out of their heads.

They worked themselves to the bone all month just to make five or six thousand, basically trading their health for it.

"Things are going okay," Chu Feng said with a smile. "I just opened a small factory and got to know some people. They’re the ones who arranged for everyone to come help with the wedding. You guys can come work at my place later. And don’t worry about the salary—I guarantee it will be at least double what you’re making now!"
