Chapter 97: Cheating and Locked in a Dog Cage
Chu Feng calmly reached out and placed his hand on his card.
Yang Hu, meanwhile, stared at Chu Feng’s hand with a smug look, his eyes filled with disdain. In his eyes, Chu Feng was finished.
"Kid, show your card. What are you waiting for?" Yang Hu shouted.
In response, Chu Feng unhurriedly revealed his card.
When Chu Feng’s card was revealed, the smug smile on Yang Hu’s face came to a screeching halt, freezing in place.
The others around them stared with wide eyes when they saw it.
"The Big Joker!" someone exclaimed.
No one expected Chu Feng to actually draw the Big Joker!
"That luck... it’s just insane!" someone couldn’t help but marvel.
"Th-this is impossible!" Yang Hu’s eyes went wide, as if he’d just seen a ghost.
He shot a glance at the beautiful female dealer beside him, his gaze murderous.
The female dealer’s face stiffened instantly under Yang Hu’s glare; she was clearly terrified.
Chu Feng naturally saw this, and the corners of his mouth lifted into a mocking smile.
"Looks like I won this round," Chu Feng said with a faint smile.
’So Yang Hu’s cheating skills aren’t all that impressive. And here I thought he was supposed to be some master.’
But in reality, once Yang Hu’s streak of bad luck began, even the most incredible cheating techniques—and even with help—were useless.
"You’ve got a few tricks up your sleeve!" Yang Hu’s expression as he looked at Chu Feng had completely changed.
He never imagined Chu Feng could draw such a good card against him.
The others in the room also began to look at Chu Feng differently, seeing him in a new light.
"Just so-so," Chu Feng replied to Yang Hu.
With a dark expression, Yang Hu tossed a million in chips to Chu Feng, then said, "Again!"
He refused to believe Chu Feng could keep winning forever.
He had plenty of money. As long as Chu Feng dared to keep gambling, he would find a way to make him lose!
"Let’s do it. All in again!" Chu Feng nodded, pushing all two million of his chips forward.
The beautiful dealer began to shuffle the cards again, then laid them out in a row just as before.
"This time, you draw first!" Yang Hu said, glancing at Chu Feng.
In his mind, Chu Feng had definitely cheated in the last round; he just didn’t want to say it out loud.
"Alright. Suit yourself." Chu Feng nodded in response.
Chu Feng wasn’t bothered in the slightest by what Yang Hu said.
Yang Hu was currently cursed with bad luck. And with such a heavy Sin Value, that bad luck was bound to be incredibly potent.
Therefore, it didn’t matter who drew first; Yang Hu was destined to lose.
Chu Feng casually drew a card.
After seeing Chu Feng draw, Yang Hu glanced at the dealer, then unhesitatingly drew the thirteenth card—the same position as the last round.
After drawing, Yang Hu looked at his card, and a smug smile once again appeared on his face.
"Sorry, but it’s the Xiao Wang again!" Yang Hu laughed, his smile unrestrained.
The onlookers were stunned to see this.
The Xiao Wang again! His luck was unbelievable.
"Show your card, kid!" Yang Hu said arrogantly.
Chu Feng flipped his card over. When its face was revealed, a collective gasp echoed through the room.
"Whoa, the Big Joker again!" someone nearby cried out in shock.
Weren’t the cards these two were drawing a little too ridiculous?
Drawing the same cards again?
"How is that possible!" Enraged, Yang Hu slammed his hand on the table. He glared at Chu Feng with wide eyes, his gaze murderous.
"You’re cheating, kid!" Yang Hu roared, looking like he was ready to eat him alive.
"Do you have any proof? All these people are watching. Did any of you see me cheat?" Chu Feng asked, turning to look at the other parents.
They all shook their heads. Other than drawing and revealing his card, Chu Feng hadn’t moved at all, and his hands had been on the table the entire time.
"You damn bitch, you dare pull tricks right in front of me?" Yang Hu grabbed the beautiful dealer and slapped her across the face several times.
This barrage of slaps left the beautiful dealer completely stunned.
"President Yang, I... I didn’t!" the beautiful dealer cried out in terror, her eyes welling up with tears as she looked at Yang Hu.
"Drag her out and lock her in a cage!" Yang Hu ordered his men.
Immediately, a few burly thugs dragged the beautiful dealer away.
"President Yang, I didn’t cheat, please let me go!" No matter how much the beautiful dealer begged, the thugs didn’t stop.
SLAP! SLAP!
The beautiful dealer was slapped viciously a few more times, and her voice died down.
"You, deal the cards!" Yang Hu said, pointing to a trusted subordinate nearby.
"Yes, President Yang." The speaker was a huge man with a brutish face, clearly not a good person.
"This is what happens when you dare to cheat in my territory!" Yang Hu declared arrogantly.
The people around them were scared into silence. The man was too ruthless.
Anyone who worked with him or for him could lose their life at any moment.
Seeing this, Chu Feng’s eyes narrowed, and a murderous intent arose in his heart.
No wonder this guy’s Sin Value was so high. He’d lock someone in a cage over the slightest disagreement. He must have a lot of blood on his hands.
"We’re done with cards. Let’s play dice," Yang Hu said.
"Whatever you want," Chu Feng replied coldly.
He knew this guy was just taking his anger out on the woman because he had lost.
Su Miaoke watched this, thoroughly frightened. She tugged on Chu Feng’s sleeve and whispered, "Honey, why don’t we stop? I can go to my dad and get the money."
Although Yang Hu was on the other side of the table, he overheard what Su Miaoke said.
BANG!
He slammed his fist on the table and roared, "We had an agreement! You can only stop when you’ve won back the money you owe! What’s this? You want to quit after just two hands? Trying to back out?"
When Yang Hu slammed the table, all his men in the room swarmed forward, some of them brandishing clubs.
The sight would make anyone’s blood run cold. There wasn’t a single good person among them.
Chu Feng took Su Miaoke’s hand and said, "I’ll be fine. Just watch."
Then Chu Feng turned to Yang Hu and said, "Continue."
"At least you know your place, kid!" Yang Hu said arrogantly, gesturing for his men to back down.
Soon, someone cleared the cards away and replaced them with two dice cups.
"Why don’t we change the terms?" Chu Feng said.
"Oh? Change the terms? What terms do you want to change?" Yang Hu asked curiously.
"How much do all of them owe you, combined?" Chu Feng asked.
Yang Hu gave Chu Feng a surprised look, then glanced at the parents of the other young people who owed him money.
"Not much. About 950 million in total. What? You want to pay it all back for them?" Yang Hu shot Chu Feng a look, a mocking smile on his face.
Across from him, Chu Feng simply nodded.
