Chapter 77: Going to School
"Okay, take me there," Chu Feng said.
On the surface, Chu Feng appeared perfectly calm, without a ripple of emotion.
But in truth, the rage in his heart was enough to burn the heavens to ash.
His own brother had been tormented, yet the school claimed his death was an accident—that he had simply lost his footing and fallen.
When they arrived at the faculty office, Zhao Su knocked on the door.
"Come in."
She pushed the door open and went in. The office wasn’t large. It held several desks and was occupied by a few teachers.
"May I ask who you’re looking for?" A middle-aged man with glasses looked up at Zhao Su, adjusting his spectacles as he spoke.
"Excuse me, which of you is Mr. Yang Jun, the homeroom teacher?" Zhao Su asked politely.
"That would be me. And you are?" the man replied, studying Zhao Su with a puzzled expression.
"My name is Zhao Su," she began, getting straight to the point. "I’m here today to ask about Chu Hao."
Chu Feng stood silently to the side, his gaze fixed on Yang Jun, Chu Hao’s homeroom teacher.
"Chu Hao?" Yang Jun’s brow furrowed. "Hasn’t his case already been cleared up? He lost his footing and fell." He sounded impatient.
Zhao Su was about to press further when Chu Feng cut her off.
"Are you sure he lost his footing?" Chu Feng stepped in front of Yang Jun, demanding an answer.
At that moment, Chu Feng radiated an overwhelming presence that struck an involuntary fear deep into Yang Jun’s heart.
"Y-Yes. A number of people saw it," Yang Jun stammered, his eyes darting away. It was obvious he was lying.
"Oh? Who saw it? Where are they? Take me to them," Chu Feng said.
"Take you? Why should I? Who are you?" Yang Jun blustered, his nervousness betraying his bravado.
"I’m Chu Hao’s brother!" Chu Feng’s voice was ice-cold.
’This only confirms my suspicions,’ he thought. ’My brother’s death was no accident.’
Yang Jun froze when he heard this.
He inwardly scoffed, ’Chu Hao’s brother? I heard he’s just some blue-collar worker.’
Yang Jun quickly regained his composure. "So what if you’re his brother?" he said, his face cold. "The Inspection Bureau has already issued their findings. If you have a problem, take it up with them. What’s the use in coming to me?"
With that, he tried to shove Chu Feng out of the office.
But Chu Feng wasn’t having it. He clapped a hand on Yang Jun’s shoulder and squeezed.
CRACK!
The sickening sound of bone fracturing filled the air.
"AGH!" Yang Jun screamed in agony. His face went pale, and cold sweat beaded on his forehead.
Seeing this, the other teachers in the office shot to their feet, shouting at Chu Feng.
"What are you doing? Are you trying to start a fight?"
"This is a school! How dare you cause trouble here?"
One of the teachers immediately called campus security.
"I’ll give you one last chance. Tell me exactly what happened to my brother," Chu Feng demanded, his voice thick with killing intent.
Chu Feng wouldn’t spare anyone who dared to harm his brother.
Zhao Su’s eyebrows shot up as she watched Chu Feng’s ruthless display, her own heart pounding with a mix of fear and awe.
’This man is truly ruthless.’
But she also began to worry. This was a school, after all. For Chu Feng to just storm in and start a brawl could lead to serious trouble.
Zhao Su immediately pulled out her phone and started making calls, pulling strings.
As the general manager of a Zhongnan City consumer goods company, she had worked in the city for years and had built up a decent network.
"Principal Li, are you on campus today?" Zhao Su asked into her phone.
Meanwhile, Yang Jun just kept screaming, saying nothing about Chu Hao.
"You dare to attack me! You’re finished!" Yang Jun yelled.
Moments later, a group of security guards burst in. They all wore red armbands on their left arms with "Campus Security" written on them.
"Who’s causing trouble here?" Seeing Chu Feng gripping Yang Jun’s shoulder, the guards immediately rushed forward.
One of them swung a club straight at Chu Feng’s head.
The club was as thick as a man’s wrist; a direct hit would have cracked his skull open.
When Zhao Su saw this, she cried out, "President Chu, look out!"
But Chu Feng had already sensed the attack. As the club came down, he caught it with an effortless backhand grip.
The guard’s face fell when he saw Chu Feng catch his club. He tried to yank it back, but it was as if the weapon had been welded to Chu Feng’s hand; it wouldn’t budge.
With a gentle push from Chu Feng, the guard stumbled backward, crashing to the floor and taking several of his colleagues down with him.
As a master at the Peak of Qi Cultivation, Chu Feng could easily take on a dozen ordinary men like these by himself.
Just then, another group of people entered from outside.
In the lead was an older man with graying temples. He looked to be on the verge of retirement, at least in his late fifties.
"What is going on here!" the old man demanded as he entered.
All eyes turned to the old man.
"Principal Li, you’re just in time! This punk is causing a scene at our school!" the head of security said, pointing at Chu Feng.
Principal Li shot the head of security a glare before turning his attention to Zhao Su.
"President Zhao, my apologies," Principal Li said to her.
Zhao Su offered a faint smile. "Principal Li, I’m here with my associate, President Chu, to inquire about his brother, Chu Hao, and the circumstances of his fall."
"Hm? Chu Hao?" Upon hearing the name, Principal Li’s expression shifted strangely.
"What is it? Is there a problem, Principal Li?" Zhao Su asked.
Chu Feng also turned to Principal Li, his gaze hardening.
’It’s obvious,’ he thought. ’These people know the inside story but are hiding it.’
"President Zhao, President Chu, please come with me," Principal Li said to Chu Feng and Zhao Suyue.
He then led the two of them to his personal office.
After they had left, Yang Jun, still cradling his arm, immediately took out his phone.
"Hello, President Chen? Some kid just showed up at the school. Says he’s Chu Hao’s brother, and he’s still digging into what happened."
"Where is he now?" a voice on the other end asked.
"He just left with Principal Li. They’re probably headed to his office," Yang Jun replied.
"Understood." The line went dead.
Principal Li’s Office.
"President Zhao, President Chu, please have a seat," Principal Li said, pouring tea for them.
"Principal Li, what really happened to my brother?" Chu Feng asked.
Principal Li glanced at Chu Feng, then at Zhao Su.
"President Chu is the husband of President Su of the Su Group," Zhao Su said, making Chu Feng’s connections clear.
As expected, upon hearing this, the look in Principal Li’s eyes changed completely.
His gaze filled with utter shock and astonishment.
