My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 60: Spiritual Power Saves a Life

"Brother Su, slow down." Chu Yuntian and his wife also hurried after him.

Su Miaoke rushed after her parents.

"Chu Feng, go quickly. You drive them over," Chu Yuntian said urgently.

"Okay." Chu Feng also hurried to catch up.

He knew what his father was worried about. After an incident like this, Su Linsheng’s mind was a mess; driving in that state could easily lead to another accident.

"Dad, you guys get in. I’ll drive." Downstairs, Chu Feng stopped Su Linsheng, who was about to get into the driver’s seat.

Upon seeing this, Su Linsheng quickly got out of the driver’s seat.

"Everyone, buckle up," Chu Feng instructed.

Once everyone was buckled in, Chu Feng slammed on the gas and sped off.

It wasn’t just his physical fitness that had improved; his mental faculties and reaction time had become much stronger as well.

So, his control over the car was naturally much better than an average person’s.

Along the way, Chu Feng pushed the speed up to 160.

They were on the highway the whole time, but Chu Feng drove very steadily. He didn’t even run a single red light; he was lucky enough to get green lights all the way.

The trip to the city hospital should have taken half an hour, but it only took them ten minutes.

After arriving at the hospital, the family rushed towards the operating room.

A few of Su Jun’s friends were waiting at the entrance to the operating room.

"Where’s Su Jun? What happened?" Su Linsheng roared at Su Jun’s friends as soon as he saw them.

The boys’ faces turned pale with fright at Su Linsheng’s roar. One of them stammered, "He’s... he’s in surgery. We went street racing together, and... and there was an accident..."

"Dad, calm down. Let’s find a doctor and ask about the situation first," Chu Feng said calmly.

Just then, a doctor and a nurse were entering the operating room.

Su Linsheng grabbed the doctor and demanded, "How’s my son?"

"Your son? He’s still in surgery! Don’t shout here. If you interfere with the patient’s emergency treatment, you’ll be responsible for the consequences!" the doctor snapped at Su Linsheng.

Letting go of the doctor’s arm, Su Linsheng’s face turned ashen.

He never imagined something like this would happen to his son.

"This is all your fault! If you hadn’t spoiled him and bought him that car, would he have gotten into this mess?" With nowhere else to vent his anger, Su Linsheng lashed out at Su Miaoke’s mother.

Su Miaoke’s mother stood off to the side, sobbing nonstop. She said nothing, her heart filled with immense regret.

Su Miaoke’s expression was grim as well. She turned to look at Chu Feng. "Chu Feng..."

Though she trailed off, Chu Feng understood what she wanted to say.

"Don’t worry. I’m here, so he’ll be fine. Let’s wait for the results first," Chu Feng said comfortingly, holding Su Miaoke’s hand.

’Actually, Chu Feng wasn’t too worried. It mainly depended on whether the doctors had a solution. If it came to a point where even they were helpless, then he would definitely have to step in.’

’How could he stand by and watch his own brother-in-law die?’

Comforted by Chu Feng, Su Miaoke finally breathed a sigh of relief, her worry easing.

「Three hours passed in the blink of an eye.」

At that moment, the light above the operating room door went out, and the doors opened.

Su Linsheng immediately rushed over and asked anxiously, "Doctor, how is he?"

He was terrified for his son’s safety—this was his only son.

The heir to the Su Family line!

But the doctor just shook his head and sighed. "We did our best, but his injuries were too severe. There was nothing more we could do."

Hearing this news, Su Linsheng looked as if he’d been struck by lightning and collapsed to the floor.

Su Miaoke hurried to support her father.

"Dad!" Su Miaoke cried out.

Meanwhile, Chu Feng’s mother-in-law fainted on the spot.

The news was too much for her to bear.

Chu Feng quickly helped his mother-in-law to a nearby chair.

"Miaoke, you watch Mom and Dad for a moment." After saying this, Chu Feng walked straight into the operating room.

Inside the operating room, a nurse was finishing up. Su Jun’s body was already covered with a white sheet.

As Chu Feng walked in, he saw a metal basin to the side, filled with blood-soaked cotton cloths. The entire room was filled with the pungent smell of blood.

"We did everything we could," the nurse said apologetically.

Chu Feng pulled back the white sheet and saw Su Jun’s condition. His body was a mangled, bloody mess; the crash had been brutal.

In response, Chu Feng reached out, placed a hand on Su Jun’s chest, and began to channel the Spiritual Qi from his body, continuously feeding it into Su Jun.

The nurse beside him saw this and was just about to say something.

But before she could speak, the monitor beside them began to beep. The nurse glanced at it and exclaimed, "There’s a heartbeat! He’s alive!"

She couldn’t believe her eyes. Su Jun’s heart had stopped beating more than ten minutes ago.

They had only informed Su Linsheng and the others outside after confirming it several times.

"Hurry and get the attending physician!" Chu Feng shouted at the nurse.

’In truth, the most Chu Feng could do was pull Su Jun back from the brink of death and stabilize his condition. The rest still required a doctor’s treatment.’

’Only now did Chu Feng understand that his own power was still too weak.’

’He had only been channeling his Spiritual Power for a short time, yet he already felt close to exhaustion.’

"I’ll go right now!" The nurse snapped out of her shock and hurried off to find the doctor.

Outside, an elderly doctor hurried over.

"Old Su, what’s the situation?" He Fang asked.

He was a professor at the city hospital and a very close friend of Su Linsheng.

"Brother He, you have to save my son!" Su Linsheng said urgently upon seeing He Fang, as if he had just seen a ray of hope.

However, He Fang was a professor of neurology; surgery and internal medicine were not his specialties.

As the two were talking, a group of doctors and nurses came running over.

"Xiao Gao, what’s going on?" He Fang asked.

"It’s strange. The patient was clearly dead just a moment ago, but now he’s somehow alive again. I’m going to go take a look," the doctor called Xiao Gao said, equally surprised.

Hearing this news, both Su Linsheng and He Fang looked as if they had seen a glimmer of hope.

Inside the operating room, Chu Feng felt like he was about to collapse. He had used up almost all of his Spiritual Power to forcefully extend Su Jun’s life.

"Why don’t you go outside for now? You can leave this to us. Wait for the results out there." The nurse helped Chu Feng out of the room.

When Su Miaoke saw Chu Feng being helped out, looking weak, she asked urgently, "Husband, what’s wrong? How is my brother?"
