Chapter 182
Kate’s Point of View
Nathan and Ethan had been talking to Derek and my dad for a long time. I wondered what they were talking about. Rose and I helped my mom in the garden, and then we decided to hang out in the back of the packhouse. My mom had been talking to me about so many embarrassing things, and I needed to get away from her for a while.
"So, did anything happen last night?" Rose asked me. She was pregnant and eating some fruit. I couldn’t wait until I got to meet my nieces or nephew or both. She was having twins.
"No, nothing happened; we just slept," I said
"Did you want something to happen?" Rose asked
"I am not going to have sex until I am ready. They agree. They said they won’t take me until I trust them fully and fall for them," I said
"You are already falling for them," Rose said. That wasn’t a question. She already knew the answer.
"Yes, I am," I said
"I knew it," Rose replied with a smile. I sighed
"There is something that happened," I said
"What?" Rose asked
"I kissed Nathan. Like really kissed him. It got heated quick," I said
"Really? Did anything else happen?" Rose asked
"He pulled away before anything else could happen. At first I thought he might not have liked it, but then he explained to me that he wasn’t going to do anything with me until I was ready and at least eighteen."
"You know they are trying to look out for you, Kate. They really care about you and want to do right by you," Rose said
"Maybe. In a way, I feel like they are trying to look out for me, but another part of me wonders if they wish I was like the girls they were with before," I replied
"You mean the sluts they used to fuck?" Rose asked, and I shrugged
"I am sure that is not what they want you to be. I am sure they are happy that you are their Mate," Rose said
A while later, Derek, Ethan, and Nathan came outside. Derek walked over to Rose and sat beside her. Nathan and Ethan sat on either side of me.
"We should give them some time to talk alone," Rose said to Ethan, and they left.
"You talked to my dad for a long time," I said
"Yeah, we had to talk about something important," Ethan said
"What is that?" I asked
"Nothing, just some rogues that have been coming onto our territories. We were trying to see if they were connected," Nathan said
"Are they?" I asked
"We are not sure," Ethan replied. For some reason, I felt like they were keeping something from me, but I decided not to pry. I was sure I was nothing for me to worry about
"Anyway, how about you give us a tour?" Ethan said
"Okay," I replied

"And that is it," I said once I finished showing them around. We had been there for a few hours.
"That isn’t all," Nathan said
"What do you mean?" I asked
"You didn’t show us your room," Ethan said
"Oh, you want to see my room?" I asked
"Of course," Nathan replied
"Okay," I said, and we headed up to my room.
"This is my room," I said, and they walked around the room. They both started looking at my cheerleading trophies and photos.
"You were a beautiful little girl," Ethan said as he picked up a photo of me. I was seven in the photo. I was holding a trophy that I had won playing the piano.
"Thank you," I said
"Kate," My mom said as she walked into my room. "There you are. I have been looking for you," My mom said
"Yeah, I just finished showing them around the pack," I replied
"Great! Well, I wanted to invite Ethan and Nathan for dinner. We will be having dinner in my room. It would give us a chance to get to know the two of you better," My mom said
"That sounds good," Ethan said
"Great!"
"Nathan, Ethan, and I followed my mom to the room. Derek, Rose, Rose’s parents, James and Jason, who are Rose’s brothers, and my parents were all there.
I thought Nathan and Ethan would feel uncomfortable eating with everyone, but it didn’t seem to bother them. Everyone was asking them questions, and they would answer without hesitation.
It felt good having them there for dinner. It was like they were meant to be there with my family and me. After dinner, we all sat in the living room.
"Let me show you some more pictures of Kate. I know you saw the ones she had in her room already," My mom said
"Mom," I said
"Thanks, Lisa. We would love to see Kate’s pictures," Nathan said
"Great! My mom said, and she got up to get my baby album.
