Chapter 178
Nathan’s Point of View
I couldn’t believe I almost lost control. I didn’t want to leave Kate. I wanted to stay with her, but I knew that if I did, I might do something that she wasn’t ready for. There was no way I would do that.
I made my way to Ethan’s office, where he was talking to Daniel, our beta. There was another trespasser on our territory. They came around the time Kate showed up.
"Did you find who the person was?" I asked as I walked into the room
"No. Just like the last time, the trackers couldn’t track the person’s scent," Daniel replied
"Witches must have something to do with this," I said
"That is what I was thinking. The thing is, I think we are right to worry that they might be coming here because of Kate. This is the second time someone has trespassed on our territory. Both times were when Kate was visiting," Ethan said
"I know. I am sure this is not a coincidence," I said
"We should talk to Michael about this tomorrow. He should know just in case she is in danger and whoever this is shows up there," Ethan said
"I agree," I replied
"I should go check on the border," Daniel said
"Okay," I said, and he left. I sat across from Ethan, who was looking at some paperwork.
"Why are you not with Kate?" Ethan asked
"There is something I need to tell you, Ethan," I said, and he looked at me.
"What did you do? You didn’t scare her, did you, by losing your temper or something?" Ethan asked
"No, I didn’t scare her. We kissed, and I almost lost control," I said
"WHAT? You kissed her and almost lost control," Ethan said
"Well, she kissed me first, and then the kiss got heated. I almost lost control, but I caught myself before I could. That is why I left the room and came here," I said
"What the fuck, Nathan? We said we were going to wait until we won her trust and her heart. Not only that, but we said we would not do anything with her until she is of age."
"I know. I didn’t mean for it to happen. She just kissed me, and I lost it for a moment. I pulled back and left after," I said
"You just left her without an explanation," Ethan asked.
"No, I told her that we were going to wait until she was ready. I am not stupid, Ethan," I said, a little offended that he thought I would just leave without explaining things to her.
"That’s good," Ethan said
We took care of some paperwork and then headed back to our room. Kate was lying on the bed when we arrived, faking sleep. Ethan went on one side of her, and I went to the other.
"Sleep, Princess," Ethan said, and it didn’t take long for her to fall asleep. I just stared at her. Ethan was doing the same. She was the most beautiful, precious woman in the world. I already promised myself that I was going to do everything in my power to gain her trust and win her heart. She already had mine and Ethan’s
"We are so lucky," Ethan said
"I know," I replied
"We will take good care of her. We will treat her like the princess she is," Ethan said, and I agreed.
Kate’s Point of View
I woke up feeling thousands of pleasurable sparks going through my body. When I opened my eyes, I saw that Nathan and Ethan were asleep. Both of their arms were wrapped around my body protectively. I tried to get out of their hold, but they both tightened their grips around me.
"Where do you think you are going, Love?" Nathan asked
"Um, to the bathroom," I said, and they both released me. I got up quickly.
"Don’t take long. It is still early," Ethan said as I made my way into the bathroom. I sighed as I closed the door. I used the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and decided to take a shower.
Once I was done, I wrapped the new pink robe around my body that they had bought for me since I hadn’t thought about bringing clothes with me into the bathroom. I took a deep breath and opened the door slightly. They both looked like they were still asleep, so I made my way to the walk in closet where my clothes were.
I turned the light on and closed the closet door behind me. I found a light pink sundress and put it on. Then, I put on a pair of black sandals.
When I opened the door, Nathan and Ethan were sitting up on the bed.
"Good morning," I said
"Morning, Princess. You look beautiful in that dress," Ethan said, causing my cheeks to redden.
"Yes, you do, Love," Nathan added.
"Thank you," I replied
Suddenly, Ethan and Nathan started to look into space, then they looked at me.
"What’s wrong?" I asked
"Your brother and sister in law are here," Nathan said
"Derek and Rose are here?" I asked
"Yes, I don’t think your brother is happy you stayed the night here," Ethan said
"We have to go see them," I said as I started to walk out of the room, and they followed after me.
