Chapter 176
Kate’s Point of View
"Hello, Alphas and Luna. What can I get for you?" a lady asked. I was about to order, but Nathan beat me to it.
"She will have two scoops of orange cream ice cream with whipped cream on top, and we will take two chocolate double scoops," Nathan said
I just looked at him. I was shocked that he knew how I liked my ice cream. I told them that the first day I came to their pack, but I didn’t think they would remember. I guess I was wrong.
"Coming up," the lady said, and she made our ice cream. I thanked her, and then we left. We walked for about thirty minutes longer before I realized it was getting late.
"It is late. I should head back home," I said
"Why don’t you stay here tonight? It is late," Nathan said
"Um, I don’t know," I replied.
"You can stay in your own room. Honestly, we barely have gotten any sleep. I am sure you haven’t either. It would be good for us to stay close to each other," Ethan added. He was right. I hadn’t been sleeping well being away from them.
"Okay, let me call my parents and see if that is okay," I said, and I took out my cell. I dialed my dad’s number.
"Hello, Kate. Are you still at the Red Moon Pack?" My dad asked
"Um, yes. I called to ask if it is okay if I stay the night here?" I asked nervously. My dad was quiet for a moment. I was sure my mom was right next to him.
"Daddy," I said after a while of him being quiet.
"Let me talk to them," my dad said, and I looked from Ethan to Nathan. Before I could tell them that he wanted to speak to them, Ethan held his hand out for me to give him the phone.
"Hello, Michael," Ethan said. They spoke for a moment. I thought my dad was going ot say he wanted me back, but he shocked me by agreeing to let me stay with them for the night. One thing I learned was that Ethan was good at convincing people into letting something happen. He told my dad that it would be a good idea for us to stay together because the bond makes it hard for us to be away from each other. He told him that we would all get rest that we hadn’t gotten since we had been apart.
Of course my dad knew he was telling the truth. He knew how hard it was for werewolves to be away from their mates. He also noticed that I hadn’t been getting much sleep since I met them.
"Yes, Michael. Nathan and I both understand. We won’t do anything but sleep. Kate is very important to both of us. We would never hurt her or mistreat her in any way," Ethan said, and then they ended the call.
"Your parents are okay with you staying the night," Ethan said
"Good. Let’s get ready for bed," Nathan said
"I, um, I don’t have anything to wear," I said nervously. I was nervous about staying the night with them.
"There is nothing to be nervous about, Love. We will never hurt you," Nathan said
"You do have something that you can wear," Ethan said, and we went back to the top floor. He took me to a bedroom on the second floor. The room was huge. There was a very big bed, bigger than a colossal king. A TV, three walk in closets, a bathroom, and a balcony.
We walked over to one of the walk in closets that was full with womens clothing. All of them were new with the price tags still on them.
"These clothes are my size," I said
"That is because we got these for you the day we discovered that you were our mate. It was Nathan’s idea, actually," Ethan said and I looked at Nathan shocked. He was just staring at me with a blank expression on his face
"Really? You bought me clothes," I asked and Nathan shrugged his shoulders as if it wasn’t a big thing. I thought it was. Nathan didn’t seem like the type of person to go out of his way and buy clothes for a she wolf. That meant something to me. It showed that he cared about me. That he wanted me there with him. I wondered if it was only because of the matebond. I knew that had a lot to do with it. I had so many things going through my mind.
"We had Farrah go with us to make sure they were things you might like," Nathan said
"Oh, thank you," I said
"There is no reason for you to thank us. You are our mate. It is what we should do," Ethan said. So maybe they were doing this because they felt obligated because of the mate bond.
"We will leave you to get ready for bed," Ethan said
"Okay," I replied, and they left.
The bathroom was huge. There was a huge jacuzzi tub that looked like it could fit ten giant male wolves. There was a shower as well that was huge. There were different female body washes in the closet. I took the strawberry scented one and got in the shower. While I was showering, all I could think about was Nathan and Ethan. Did they really want me because of me, or was it only because of the mate bond?
