The Bully's Mate!

Chapter 175

Kate’s Point of View

I was a little embarrassed after the scene I had made with Ethan and Nathan. I was angry because they didn’t wait for me. Now there were going to be females who wanted to start shit with me because of them. It wasn’t that I was worried about the bitches. I knew I could take them. The thing I didn’t want was unnecessary drama.

I still shouldn’t have made that scene. What they did was before they knew me. Plus, they didn’t really think they were going to find their mate. Still, it made me angry.

We walked down to the dining hall and sat at their table. Everyone was staring at us when we walked in. I knew a lot of them from school. I also didn’t miss how some of the females glared at me as we walked by. I was sure most of them were she wolves that they fucked in the past.

Nathan moved my chair so that I could sit.

"Thanks," I said. They both waited for me to sit before they sat. They sat on either side of me. Three women came over and put a plate on the table for each of us.

"Luna Kate, would you like some sweet tea?" a woman said with a pitcher in her hand. It felt weird hearing her call me her luna. I wanted to tell her that she could call me Kate, but I was sure Ethan and Nathan wouldn’t go for it.

"Um, yes, please," I said, and she poured me a glass of tea. "Thank you," I said with a smile, and she smiled back at me before walking away.

"Princess, you should try the food. The Chicken is amazing," Nathan said, and I did as he said. He was right. The food was good.

"What do you think?" Ethan asked. Nathan and Ethan were just watching me, waiting for me to tell them what I thought about the food.

"It’s delicious," I replied, and they smiled happily. Then, they started eating their food as well.

We ate in silence. It was not an uncomfortable silence. It was nice. It felt right being around them. I hadn’t thought about it, but that was the first time since I started avoiding them that I ate a full meal. I didn’t have an appetite. Come to think about it, I barely got any sleep either. All I did was think about them and how much I wanted to be around them. That scared me, and that was one of the reasons I tried to stay away. I was afraid they would change me into one of those love sick girls.

After dinner, we went for a walk outside. It was dark outside now. The full moon was shining bright. I breathed in the fresh air as I walked between them.

"So what were the two of you like in high school?" I asked

"Oh, well, I played football. I was the quarterback, and Nathan played basketball. He was the captain," Ethan said

"Well, I can’t say that I am surprised. I am sure the two of you were very popular," I said

"I guess. Most of the school was too afraid to be mean to us. You know, with the rumors about us and all. Everyone pretty much acted like they were our friends," Ethan said

"Oh," I replied. I knew how most of the other packs were afraid of them because they killed their father. They thought they were ruthless, evil. Thinking about it now, I used to be one of them who believed the rumors. Now that I know the truth of why they did the things they did, I feel terrible.

Their father was a terrible man who hur them and their pack. They did what they had to do at a very young age. They reminded me of Ebony. Her mom was a terrible person who mistreated her. It showed me how lucky I was to have parents who loved me and would do anything for me.

"Anyway, you are the popular one here. I heard that you are the head cheerleader and everyone loves you," Ethan said

"I guess, but not all of them are my true friends. Ebony, Rose, and Lila are the ones that I can call my real friends. Everyone else just wants to be around me because they want to fit in and be popular as well," I said

"You know you have some good logic for your age," Ethan said

"I am not that much younger than the two of you. You are only five years older than me, well, actually about four and a half, because I am almost eighteen," I said

"We are still older," Ethan replied.

I looked over at an ice cream shop as we passed by.

"You want some ice cream?" Nathan asked. I looked at him to see he was staring at me. He had been doing that the entire time. Just staring. I realized he wasn’t much of a talker. Ethan and I did most of the talking while he just stared at me.

"Yeah," I said, and we made our way into the ice cream shop.
