My Married Roommate Asked Me to Give Her a Baby

Chapter 37 – Chloe Quinn

Fiona pressed her lips together.

Her hands twisted anxiously in her lap, thumbs picking at each other again and again. Her heart sank into a violent struggle.

She knew very well what the loan sharks would do to her if she did not pay.

School would be impossible.

If they caught her, they might throw her into some filthy place and make her receive customers to repay the debt.

But she had no other way to get money.

And if she was truly asked to sell herself, she was afraid from the bottom of her heart.

Fiona lifted her head and looked at April with pleading eyes.

"April, we're friends. Can you lend me some money first? Help me through this emergency."

"After I pay them back, I'll find a way to repay you. I'll give you an extra thousand in interest. Okay?"

April took another drag from her mint cigarette and looked at Fiona like she was looking at an idiot.

"Fiona, is your brain broken?"

"I work hard selling my body, then use that money to pay your loan sharks?"

"Then didn't I suffer for nothing? Do you think I'm stupid?"

April sneered without leaving any softness.

"Anyway, I've pointed out the money road for you. Whether you walk it is your own business."

"Get out. I have work."

Fiona froze. She had not expected April to be so ruthless.

She could only push the door open numbly.

The moment she stood on the roadside, April stepped on the gas and drove away, leaving a sharp red taillight in the night.

Fiona's mind was in chaos.

Why?

They had grown up in the same village, almost wearing the same pair of pants when they were kids. How had things become like this?

She did not understand that people changed.

At that moment, April was holding the steering wheel with one hand and dialing a number with the other.

"Hello, boss. Yeah, don't worry. I can definitely handle it."

"But we agreed. After it's done, you give me three thousand commission. You'd better keep your word."

A man's laugh came from the other end.

"Relax. As long as you get her in and guarantee she's a first-timer, not a penny less than three thousand."

"No problem. She's already desperate. I only need to push a little harder."

After hanging up, April threw the phone onto the passenger seat excitedly and hummed along with the radio.

From Fiona's hesitant eyes just now, she already knew she had won.

On the other side, Fiona returned to the dorm like a lost ghost.

Because she had been too arrogant before, and because Evan had publicly humiliated her, her status in the dorm had fallen below a stray dog.

Even the square-faced girl who used to follow her around no longer gave her a pleasant look.

People were often like that.

When you had power, there was never a shortage of flatterers.

Once you lost power, people only saw you as a drowning dog.

Fiona was only nineteen, yet she had already tasted the cold and warm sides of human hearts early.

She silently took off her shoes, climbed into bed, and pulled the curtain shut.

Then she buried her face deep in the pillow and cried without sound.

She did not dare make any noise. She only let warm tears slide down her face.

Back at Southgate Heights, Evan, Chloe, and Hannah sat around the living room with sunflower seeds and cold beer.

Under the push of alcohol, the conversation became livelier and livelier.

"Little Evan, your muscles are pretty good."

Chloe's eyes moved as she looked him up and down.

"With that body and that face, if you worked at my club as a male companion, you could make decent money."

Hannah elbowed Chloe irritably.

"What are you doing? Trying to corrupt my boy? He's a proper person. Don't get ideas about him."

"Oh, come on. I was only praising his body."

Chloe smiled, then leaned closer with a mysterious look.

"Evan, tell Chloe the truth. How big are you?"

Evan answered casually, "Eighteen. Almost nineteen."

Chloe shook one finger. A wicked smile curled at her lips.

"I'm not asking your age. And I'm not asking your height."

Evan understood instantly.

Riding the joke, he answered, "Eighteen."

"Really?"

Chloe naturally did not believe him. She only assumed he was bragging.

Hannah, sitting beside them, flushed slightly.

How outrageous little Evan really was, she knew better than anyone.

Because of the beer, Evan somehow pointed at Hannah.

"Chloe, I'm not lying. If you don't believe me, ask Hannah."

"Hannah, isn't it eighteen?"

Hannah froze on the spot.

Under Chloe's gossip-filled eyes, she stammered out, "Ah... about... about that."

After saying it, Hannah's blush spread all the way to her ears.

"Not bad, kid."

Chloe's eyes lit up.

"Then aren't you a walking weapon? Whoever marries you in the future is going to have a very happy life."

As they chatted, the topic gradually ran further and further toward men and women.

Hannah could not listen anymore.

After all, only last night, she and Evan had nearly rubbed all the way into disaster.

"I'm tired. I have work at school tomorrow. I'm going to sleep."

Chloe had clearly drunk quite a bit tonight as well and did not plan on going home, so she followed Hannah into the master bedroom.

As soon as they entered, Hannah casually closed the door and locked it with a click.

Even she did not know what her subconscious was afraid of.

The moment they lay down, Chloe could not hold back her curiosity. She whispered, "Hannah, tell me honestly. How do you know little Evan's size?"

Hannah's eyes dodged.

"That day at the beach... I accidentally saw."

"Oh, so that's it."

Chloe slapped Hannah's firm backside.

"How was it? Spectacular?"

"Keeping such a strong, handsome young man at home every day, you really don't have any thoughts?"

"Your husband can't do it anyway. Don't you feel empty at night?"

"Chloe, what nonsense are you saying? He's like a little brother to me."

Chloe laughed.

"Little brother, my ass. These days, a mature woman in her thirties with a strong nineteen-year-old man is a perfect match."

"Besides, you two aren't related by blood at all. What are you afraid of?"

"Stop messing around."

Evan in the living room naturally had no idea how explosive the two women's private conversation was.

Sometimes, when women talked alone, the content was far more direct than men's.

After drinking, Evan's craving for a cigarette rose. He went to the balcony and smoked one.

When he came back, he vaguely heard two women laughing and wrestling in the master bedroom.

Curiosity grabbed him.

He could not help leaning closer to the door, wanting to hear what was going on.

But just as he leaned in, the door handle clicked.

Chloe pulled the door open from inside.

Evan lost balance, stumbled forward, and fell straight in.

By pure accident, his cheek landed solidly against Chloe's full chest.

"Ah!"

Chloe let out a short cry of surprise.

Evan hurriedly steadied himself and stepped back, apologizing again and again.

"Chloe, sorry. My foot slipped."

Chloe instinctively covered her chest. Her cheeks flushed, and she scolded softly, "Bad boy. Still not sleeping this late?"

"I just finished smoking on the balcony. I was about to sleep."

"Fine. Go sleep. I'm going to shower."

Chloe walked quickly toward the bathroom.

Evan returned to his own room and lay on the bed, but his mind kept replaying the soft, heavy impact from just now.

Damn it.

Chloe's chest was truly big.

Maybe even fuller than Hannah's.

And a mature, powerful woman like Chloe, if one day he could make her surrender in bed, the feeling would probably be very interesting.
