Chapter 44: Gacha Rewards
After Lucien checked his status, his stats mostly met his expectations. He didn’t pay much mind to it, as he had anticipated such an increase.
With so many bonuses stacked together, it came as no surprise that he could reach such heights.
His focus, however, was on the Gacha Tickets he possessed, along with the Eternal Devotion Tokens and Tickets.
When he checked, he had 10,500 Eternal Devotion Tokens, 3 Eternal Devotion Tickets, 12 Random Gacha Tickets, 2 Rare Gacha Tickets, and 3 Super Rare Gacha Tickets.
His excitement was almost running wild because of this. He had never had this much before.
The rewards he could pull from them made his cells cheer. Maybe he could even pull a Primordial Grade Gacha Card.
With the over 10,000 Eternal Devotion Tokens he had, he could get 10 Eternal Devotion Tickets, which would bring his total to 13 Eternal Devotion Tickets.
This should allow him to pull higher Gacha Cards.
Lucien didn’t waste time, as he summoned the Gacha Engine. He immediately clicked the counter, using six of the Random Gacha Tickets.

Lucien looked over the Gacha Cards he had pulled. As expected of the system, it did not fail to disappoint him in moments like these.
Six of the 12 Random Gacha Tickets had been used. And wasted.
He simply shook his head and decided to spin only one more ticket. After this, he would stop—there were plenty of tickets left, and there was no need to squander the Random Gacha Tickets all at once.
He could try his luck another time.

Lucien paused. This was the first time he had pulled a creature from the Gacha Engine. It was unexpected. Surprising.
As he read through the details, his eyes caught the Evolvable Tag attached to it. A flicker of delight stirred within him.
Nice.
He muttered it twice, the word slipping from his lips like a quiet revelation.
"System," he called out, his voice calm but edged with curiosity. "How high can it evolve into?"

[According to the creature’s current status, it can evolve into a Legendary Grade Gacha Card creature.]
Lucien nodded at the system’s response. Still good. More than good, in fact. This meant he had just pulled a potential Legendary Gacha Card—a seed that could one day bloom into something far greater.
A quiet satisfaction settled in his chest.
Not bad. Not bad at all.
He glanced at the remaining five Random Gacha Tickets in the counter. He wasn’t going to spin those again.
Testing his luck now, after the System had given such a reward, was tempting fate itself.
He converted the Eternal Devotion Tokens he had into tickets, which he then used to start upgrading the Gacha Ticket.

Lucien clicked Yes.

But Lucien wasn’t stopping there. He was planning to upgrade it to the highest.

Lucien almost clicked Yes, until he realized something was wrong.
He coughed due to shock. "System, why is it two tickets instead of one?" He complained.

[The higher the upgrade, the more the cost.]
The system’s reply was simple, but it completely foiled Lucien’s plan.
As expected, the system wasn’t generous enough to give such an amount of Eternal Devotion Tokens.
What was he going to do now?
