Chapter 347: Driven Mad with Anger
Soon, Ding Gaoyi left with the disciples of the Martial Extreme Sect.
But one of the disciples following him stared coldly at Qin Tuo.
Clearly, he blamed Qin Tuo for what had happened.
So, as he passed by Qin Tuo, the disciple gave a cold smile and intentionally released a powerful aura, hoping to intimidate him.
The aura shot directly toward Qin Tuo’s chest, looking incredibly fierce.
Qin Tuo saw the disciple’s intention at a glance but stood his ground, not moving an inch.
When the aura struck him, it was silently neutralized by his Protective Spiritual Qi, leaving him completely unaffected.
Moreover, an enigmatic smile, tinged with mockery, played on Qin Tuo’s lips.
Seeing this, the disciple’s brows furrowed deeply as he carefully sized Qin Tuo up.
Then, he put on a smile and said comfortingly,
"Junchang, you don’t need to be so tense. With your skill, you still have a great chance of winning the championship. That’s just how Master is; don’t take it to heart!"
Huang Junchang nodded and gave a bitter smile.
"Senior Brother, you’re the only one who understands. Could you please put in a good word for me with Master?"
The disciple said with a smile,
"Of course, no problem. I’ll go on ahead!"
With that, he patted Huang Junchang’s shoulder and quickly followed after Ding Gaoyi.
After his fellow sect members left, Huang Junchang glanced at Qin Tuo apologetically and said,
"Mr. Qin, please don’t take what just happened to heart!"
Huang Junchang was afraid Qin Tuo would be upset, but he also couldn’t afford to offend his sect, leaving him caught in a difficult position.
Qin Tuo shook his head and said casually,
"It’s nothing. I won’t take it to heart."
Given Qin Tuo’s current standing, he wouldn’t let such a trivial matter bother him.
Hearing Qin Tuo say this, Huang Junchang felt greatly relieved.
"Oh, right, Mr. Qin! Let me show you to your room so you can get settled in."
Huang Junchang led Qin Tuo forward, but what happened next left him completely dumbfounded.
He watched as his master and fellow disciples walked straight into the Sky-tier room in the corner.
This was the very room Huang Junchang had gone to great trouble to book for Qin Tuo.
He had hoped to use the room to curry favor with Qin Tuo, but he never imagined his master would simply commandeer it.
Huang Junchang grew anxious and couldn’t help but say,
"Mr. Qin, what are we going to do? I arranged that Sky-tier room for you, but now my master and the others are staying in it."
Seeing his exasperated expression, Qin Tuo smiled reassuringly.
"It’s alright, Young Master Huang. I don’t really care about these things. Just let them have it."
But despite Qin Tuo’s words, Huang Junchang couldn’t stop apologizing.
"I’m so sorry, Mr. Qin. This is all my fault. I’ve caused you so much trouble."
Seeing that Qin Tuo truly wasn’t bothered, Huang Junchang was filled with guilt.
After a moment’s thought, he took the initiative to tell Qin Tuo who those people were.
"Mr. Qin, you might not know, but that elderly man from before is the Sect Leader of the Martial Extreme Sect. He’s also my master, Ding Gaoyi."
Qin Tuo nodded. He had already figured out the man was the Sect Leader of the Martial Extreme Sect, but he didn’t have a good impression of him.
Huang Junchang continued,
"The disciple who was comforting me earlier is my senior brother, Geng Cong. He’s also my master’s Closed-door Disciple, whom he has raised since childhood. They’re actually all good people; perhaps they just have some misunderstanding about you."
Qin Tuo said with a smile,
"I see. You should go talk to your sect members and clear up this misunderstanding. It wouldn’t be good if things get too strained."
Huang Junchang was touched to see that Qin Tuo was still looking out for him.
He nodded and cautiously entered the Sky-tier room.
The moment he stepped inside, all his fellow disciples and his master, Ding Gaoyi, turned to look at him.
Huang Junchang apologized earnestly,
"Master, I am truly sorry. I have disappointed you!"
Ding Gaoyi gave an irritated snort and ignored him.
The atmosphere in the room instantly grew awkward, and Huang Junchang didn’t know how to break the silence.
Geng Cong sighed from the side and said seriously,
"Junior Brother, let me give you a piece of advice: stay away from that kid!"
Huang Junchang asked in confusion,
"Oh? Senior Brother, why do you say that?"
Geng Cong snorted and said irritably,
"Junior Brother, think about it! That guy definitely has an agenda. He’s probably getting close to you on purpose so he can win the championship, just feeding you a bunch of lies!"
The other disciples nodded, thinking Geng Cong had a point.
However, Huang Junchang shook his head and said seriously,
"You’re wrong, Senior Brother. Mr. Qin is incredibly strong; I’ve seen it with my own eyes. In fact, he might be even stronger than Master!"
Upon hearing this, the other disciples’ faces filled with scorn. They all thought Huang Junchang was spouting nonsense.
Geng Cong immediately refuted him.
"Junior Brother, are you dreaming? How could a punk like that possibly be stronger than our master?"
Huang Junchang opened his mouth to say more, but Geng Cong cut in sarcastically,
"Junior Brother, I always thought you were a sensible person. I can’t believe you’re being so foolish. I was clearly wrong about you!"
Their master, Ding Gaoyi, was also livid at Huang Junchang’s words and cursed furiously,
"You little bastard! That guy is nothing but a wet-behind-the-ears punk, and you think he’s stronger than me, your master? I’ve wasted all my years teaching you!"
After being harshly berated, Huang Junchang could only hang his head and take the abuse, not daring to talk back.
But inside, he felt utterly helpless.
’My gut is telling me I’m not wrong,’ he thought. ’Qin Tuo’s strength really is greater than Master’s.’
But since he had caused such an uproar, he couldn’t say anything more.
After Ding Gaoyi finished his tirade, Huang Junchang looked up and said hesitantly,
"Master, there’s one more thing... I’m not sure if I should bring it up..."
Ding Gaoyi snapped irritably,
"If you have something to say, just spit it out! Stop beating around the bush!"
Huang Junchang nodded and forced a cautious smile.
"Master, you might not be aware, but I specifically booked this Sky-tier room for Mr. Qin. So... I was wondering if you might be able to move to another room?"
At these words, everyone in the room was stunned.
Sure enough, Ding Gaoyi’s face went pale with fury. He pointed a trembling finger at Huang Junchang.
"You little brat! How dare you side with an outsider against your own family! Believe it or not, I’ll break your legs!"
Clearly, Ding Gaoyi was absolutely infuriated by Huang Junchang.
