Return of the Celestial King

Chapter 346: Qingshui Town

Qin Tuo knew that Chen Man Ni would be unhappy if he refused.

So, without another word, he took the initiative to drive the two girls home.

On the drive back, Qin Tuo called Long Wu.

"Yes, Celestial King!"

It was already evening, and Long Wu was a little curious, wondering what else Qin Tuo might need him to do.

Qin Tuo thought for a moment before saying:

"Long Wu, find some reliable people to protect two young women for me."

Long Wu naturally didn’t dare to be slow. He knew it must be Chen Man Ni and Ouyang Feifei.

He immediately nodded in agreement and dispatched his men, secretly placing the women’s residence under airtight protection.

Only after this was done did Qin Tuo feel at ease. He then returned to his villa.

Taking advantage of the evening, Qin Tuo used some of his remaining medicinal ingredients to prepare for refining Small Rejuvenation Pills.

By the next morning, Qin Tuo had refined a large pile of Small Rejuvenation Pills.

Looking at the bountiful results before him, he nodded in satisfaction, a smile on his face.

Qin Tuo’s speed at refining Small Rejuvenation Pills was getting faster and faster. Moreover, because the quality of these ingredients was extremely high, this batch of Small Rejuvenation Pills was the best he had ever produced.

Early the next morning, Huang Junchang surprisingly showed up at his door.

"Oh? Is there something you need, Young Master Huang?"

Qin Tuo had just finished refining the pills and was in a good mood.

Huang Junchang first greeted him with a smile, then offered a reminder:

"Mr. Qin, didn’t you say you wanted to attend the Martial Artist Tournament?"

Hearing him bring it up, Qin Tuo suddenly realized that with so much going on lately, he had almost forgotten all about it.

He nodded and said:

"Yes, I do want to go to the Martial Artist Tournament."

Huang Junchang chuckled and said:

"Mr. Qin, if you’re going, we should leave now. Otherwise, we might not even be able to find a place to stay."

Qin Tuo was a bit confused. Was this Martial Artist Tournament really so popular that even lodging was this tight?

Seeing the confusion in Qin Tuo’s eyes, Huang Junchang explained with a smile:

"You may not know this, Mr. Qin, but Medicine King Valley is located in a small town. The number of inns and hotels in that town is limited, so we need to get there quickly and book a room. Otherwise, we might have to sleep on the streets."

Qin Tuo nodded and, without another word, prepared to head to the town where Medicine King Valley was located with Huang Junchang.

Before leaving, he called Long Wu and Qiangwei again, reminding them to ensure the two women’s safety.

Afterward, Qin Tuo and Huang Junchang set off on their journey.

Before long, the two arrived at a place called Qingshui Town.

One could see that although Qingshui Town wasn’t large, it was quite bustling.

As they walked, Huang Junchang explained:

"Did you know, Mr. Qin? Qingshui Town used to be extremely poor. You could say it was a real backwater where even birds wouldn’t stop to shit."

Qin Tuo nodded. He could also see that Qingshui Town’s geographical location wasn’t actually good. Under normal circumstances, it couldn’t possibly have developed into the respectable place it was today.

Huang Junchang smiled again.

"But ever since Medicine King Valley appeared, this place started to become very prosperous."

Qin Tuo noticed that many people in Qingshui Town were selling all sorts of treasures, including top-grade raw spirit stones, medicinal ingredients, and Cultivation Technique manuals. You could find anything and everything.

Afterward, Huang Junchang led Qin Tuo to a hotel where he had already booked a room in advance.

Clearly, they planned to stay here for the night.

Just as they walked into the hotel, a few young men’s eyes lit up. They had spotted Huang Junchang and walked over to greet him.

It turned out these were Huang Junchang’s senior martial brothers from the Martial Extreme Sect.

Behind these young men stood an old man in a brocade robe, his face radiating authority. This was clearly Huang Junchang’s master, Ding Gaoyi, the Sect Leader of the Martial Extreme Sect.

Seeing that they were Huang Junchang’s master and senior martial brothers, Qin Tuo gave a silent nod.

However, the eyes of these Martial Extreme Sect disciples revealed unfriendly expressions as they slowly sized Qin Tuo up.

This attitude was clearly extremely rude, causing Qin Tuo to frown slightly.

Seeing this, Huang Junchang quickly shot Qin Tuo an apologetic look, hoping he wouldn’t take it to heart.

At that moment, Ding Gaoyi walked over with a cold expression.

From a distance, he had seen Huang Junchang with a nobody and his face had immediately darkened with anger.

"Master!"

Huang Junchang went up to him, bowing his head respectfully in greeting.

But Ding Gaoyi said coldly:

"Junchang, you are the most promising disciple of our Martial Extreme Sect. You even have a good chance of winning the championship this year. At a time like this, why aren’t you training and preparing for the tournament instead of hanging around with random riffraff?"

Hearing this, the group of senior martial brothers standing by also showed looks of confusion.

Huang Junchang, however, was stunned for a moment. When he came to his senses, he quickly explained:

"Master, you don’t understand. This Mr. Qin is also here to participate in the Martial Artist Tournament."

Ding Gaoyi let out a cold snort, his eyes filled with deep disdain as he looked at Qin Tuo.

In his opinion, even if someone like Qin Tuo participated in the tournament, he would just be eliminated in the first round.

However, Huang Junchang smiled and said:

"Master, did you know? With Mr. Qin participating in the Martial Artist Tournament this time, I’m afraid no one else stands a chance of winning."

Seeing Huang Junchang actually say such a thing, Ding Gaoyi flew into a rage.

Beside them, his senior martial brothers were also astonished, clearly not believing that Qin Tuo possessed such terrifying strength.

Ding Gaoyi couldn’t hold back any longer and cursed him in public:

"You brat! How can you build up someone else’s prestige at the expense of your own ambition? Are you trying to piss your old master to death?"

Huang Junchang’s face was instantly filled with embarrassment, and he quickly lowered his head to apologize.

However, he knew there was nothing wrong with what he had said. ’With Qin Tuo here for the Martial Artist Tournament, what chance does anyone else have?’

Qin Tuo stood to the side without a word. This was their sect’s internal affair, and it wasn’t his place to interfere.

However, his impression of Ding Gaoyi was rather poor. ’He’s just an incredibly stubborn old fossil.’

Ding Gaoyi chewed him out fiercely, and finally added a huffy warning:

"Let me tell you, if you fail to win the championship this time, watch out! I’ll expel you from the sect when we get back!"

After speaking, Ding Gaoyi shot another fierce glare at Qin Tuo behind him, then stormed off with an angry flick of his sleeve.

Seeing their master’s fury, the group of Martial Extreme Sect disciples were scared into silence and quickly hurried after him.

Huang Junchang was left standing there, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
