CHAPTER 33: Fog (1)
[Sumire's POV]
I was told to bring the trainee ambassador from Institute of Inter World Studies.
I was very excited to escort whoever it was since someone from institute of inter world studies was bound to become a person of big position if that person manages to successfully complete their studies from that institute.
Even my big sister Watanabe Satsuki studied there, since she was the first born of the household, it was mandatory for her to attend the Institute alongside our cousin the imperial prince of japan.
I had practiced in front of mirror about the topics I would discuss with the man I was to escort.
After all he must be very knowledgeable right? Such relations when developed in future tend to benefit a lot.
Even uncle Hayato said a lot of good things about that guy, he rarely says so. I waited for four hours standing in front of the helipad and when the helipad landed.
"A kid?" I muttered seeing a tiny little boy with sunken eyes coming out of the helicopter with institute's badge on the chest of his blazer.
I was disappointed, no I was angry but as instructed I had to make sure that the trainee doesn't encounter any trouble while on the way to the destination.
I did as I was told. I escorted him. While in the car I could feel his gaze on me but I ignored him my anger increasing.
After sometime I remembered that I didn't ask him for water or food which I was supposed to get done for him.
I saw two bottles in the pouch of the seat, it had become warm and may have been two days old but he could still drink it right?
I knew it was disrespectful but he wouldn't know anyway.
I had a nutrition bar in my breast pocket which I always took for long journeys and gave it to him.
"Good if no meal available" I said while giving him the last of what remained my duty.

[Arin's POV]
It was still early dawn since we flew in a private jet arranged by the government itself, it took us only an hour to arrive in Berlin.
I was taken to the resident hotel whose building alone made my neck hurt trying to find the height of.
It was a seven star hotel. I was trying to walk in such a way that would make me look dignified while actually trying not to break anything. Even the cup of tea would alone equal my net worth here.
Miss Sumire took out a black card from somewhere and after a minute threw a keycard at me.
When I arrived at the floor where the room was assigned to me. I simply touched the keycard at the identification panel and the door opened.
Inside the room was-
"WOOHOOOOO" I jumped on the circular bed and it covered me in its embrace.
I looked around the room, the lights were dim blue. And a sweet melodic low tune rang in the room which urged me to rest.
I opened the room of the bathroom and what I saw was-
"Is this bathtub or a swimming pool?" I freshened up and jumped in the bath tub which had the sheer size of a pool.
Then I came out a minute later and did a bit of exercise for an hour
[Total Cellular Transformation completed: 99.5%]
"Just a bit more" I said seeing the numbers.
I went to sleep after washing up again.
Knock Knock
A sound reached me who was in deep sleep.
"Huh? Bwah haffen?" I woke up, my eyes still tired and muscles creaking like rusted gears.
I went up to the door and opened it only to find Miss Sumire standing in the front.
"Why did you come so early?" I asked clearly unaware. Her eye brows raised slightly. She showed me her mobile in which the time was 11:30 A.M
We were supposed to check out at 12 noon.
.
.
.
"I-I am extremely ashamed of my behavior" I bowed my head to Miss Sumire who didn't say anything and just walked in the front.
She was dressed in a black long coat which stopped my any attempt to evaluate her figure.
[Artifact found: Pervert eye blocker, Type: Wearable, Rank: Legendary] Archive appeared.
"Tch, annoying AI" I whispered
[At least not a Lecherous Skeleton]
I was about to argue back but realized that we have reached in front of an elevator.
We entered and Miss Sumire pressed the button to go to terrace.
We reached the terrace and there waited for us another Helicopter.
"Woah" I exclaimed as I saw Berlin from above.
[Truly Beautiful] even archive commented.
Meanwhile we headed for our destination which was Munich.

.
"How are your lungs boy?" asked the man standing in front of me with a wide grin plastered on his face.
"Improving, My lungs and I appreciate your concern sir" I said
The man in front me laughed.
He was none other than the external observer for my interview and Ambassador of Japan
Mr Kenzo Hayato and apparently as whose assistant I was going to participate in the fog event.
"You look better the last time I remembered, now at least you can stand straight" he joked.
"It had only been possible because you gave me a chance sir" I remained humble, not taking part in the joke. Since he was the most senior member present.
"No, no it was only because of your own efforts-" we continued talking till a lady came near Mr Hayato and said "All preparations are done sir, The event is expected to start in Eight Hours".
Mr Hayato nodded and looked at me. "Arin, if you want to quit, say it now because once we enter, we cannot come out till the event is complete" he said in a serious tone.
"I understand, but I am not going to step back because-"
[Mrs Serin will kill me if I go back.] Archive read my thoughts aloud, luckily I managed to speak the lines I prepared.
"-It is my duty to lay my life to protect humanity from events like these." I said unwavering.
He eyed me and said nothing then turned around "Follow me" He spoke to me about doctrines, and told me about the resources we accumulated for this cause.
I saw researchers and engineers setting up machines and soldiers instructing civilians to remain inside.
I also saw a grid dome forming 3 times and then disappearing.
Mr Hayato also introduced me to the combat personnel. Since Institute of Inter world studies cannot send all of its personnel, many other prestigious institutes in the world sent out their students to get experience and learn. I saw a twin pair, a man and woman demonstrating a series of moves, which looked like a cluster of fire dragons dancing in the sky.
When they saw Mr Hayato they stopped and bowed their heads.
I also saw two girls playing with a huge boulder without even touching it
[Mentalists]
But there were three which stood out the most among the others.
One girl and two boys.
The girl closed her eyes and tightened her grip around her spear, the moment she came into the stance, the wind stopped and thousands of spatial cuts appeared all over the ground around her.
"Still as impressive as ever, Satsuki" Mr Hayato said while walking towards her.
The girl turned around to look towards the source of sound and her eyes shined the moment she saw Mr Hayato.
"UNCLE!" she ran like a child and crashed softly into the embrace of Mr Hayato.
"You still didn't grow" his words were harsh but his tone implied otherwise.
She rubbed her face on his shoulder and then her eyes went over me.
"Is he the boy you mentioned?" she asked him excitedly.
Mr Hayato nodded and before he could say anything else she or Miss Satsuki's figure blurred and she was already in front of me.
She was tall, taller than me and Hayato. Just like the snow white woman. She was three heads taller than me.
"What is your name?" she asked while bowing a little trying to match my eye level.
"......…."
"Do you know I am your senior?" she said again
"......…."
"Hello, Moshi Moshi?" she waved her hand in front of me
"......…."
[Host brain short circuited mid evaluation. Result: Temporary shock] Archive noted

.
.
Here's what happened.
The moment our eyes met and I saw her face properly. The water bottle slipped from my hand.
"Fuck, Being this beautiful should be a crime" I muttered.
She was almost Sumire but exponentially more beautiful and her curves were just "Uff".
I was about to greet her but at that instant she lowered, her cleavage became a bit visible and that was it.
Everything in the universe lost meaning to me, my all senses converged up to a single point and there remained only one purpose of my life.
To measure the depth of grand canyon in front of me.
My mind ran at full throttle, exploring countless threads of quantum possibilities and assumptions.
'Wait if I want to calculate the circumference, hey I need your help' I thought.
[Just assume a particle and integrate from limits to find the mass of the particle] Archive said
'What should I put in the place of limits?' I thought
[Minus infinity to plus infinity] Archive suggested.
'Sensei?' I looked at the archive in reverence and had the profound enlightenment of knowing how foolish I had been to argue with such a divine intellect.
.
.
.
The clouds moved, this time boldly and not stealthily.
We all took our positions, the fog descended like a tsunami covering the whole city in mere seconds. I closed my eyes as the feeling of a tasteless and dead wind covered me.
The fog had finally descended and when I opened them again, we were no longer on earth.
