Fast and Furious: I Control Everything

Chapter 281: Kick-Ass

Hunter put the photos away and looked at Diana.

"Give me the father and daughter's address. I'll take the job."

"If it is urgent, send me the details for this commission too."

"Make sure they are detailed."

"If it is not urgent, then we can wait a few days."

Diana nodded.

"I'll send the father and daughter's information to your email later."

"As for the commission, it can wait a few days."

Hunter gave her a long look, nodded, said thanks, and stood up to leave again.

Diana had clearly seen something in his earlier displeasure.

That was why she did not rush to bring up the mission just now, and instead wanted to ease the tension between them first.

Hunter did not know her well, but he could still vaguely sense some of her personality.

"For Diana to make a move like this..."

"It looks like her organization really values me..."

"I was right. The Las Vegas job was probably a test from the organization behind her."

"They must have spent a lot of time investigating me too..."

Thinking back to the times in Las Vegas when he had repeatedly sensed that someone was tailing him, Hunter frowned slightly.

Every time he tried to catch them, the tracker would vanish as if they had sensed him coming.

At first, he had thought it was Ruben or Benedict's men.

But after several failed attempts, Hunter had grown uneasy and restless.

The unknown enemy hidden in the dark had genuinely bothered him for several days.

Until now, he suddenly had a feeling.

"Could the person tailing me in Las Vegas have been Agent 47?"

"If I remember correctly, the 'Agency' program that originated in the Soviet Union created a genetically altered and enhanced superhuman assassin."

"If it was him, then it would make sense that he could evade me."

In the new version of Hitman: Agent 47, there was not just one Agent 47.

More accurately, he had become one of many top assassins mass-produced by a faction that possessed gene-modification and cloning technology.

He and the force behind him were undoubtedly formidable and troublesome.

Less than an hour after they parted, Hunter had barely returned home when he opened his computer and found a new encrypted email in his inbox.

He answered the security question, entered the password, and opened it.

As expected, the email contained a large amount of information about Hit-Girl and her father.

Hunter read it carefully while also recalling the plot of Kick-Ass and the roles of Hit-Girl and Big Daddy.

Kick-Ass tells the story of Dave Lizewski, a boy growing up in the American suburbs whose life was ordinary and plain.

When he was not hanging around the local comic shop with his friends Todd and Marty, he would fantasize about his teachers and the pretty girl in his class, Katie Deauxma.

The only unusual thing in Dave's life was that his mother had died about a year earlier.

His teenage restlessness, along with the anger of being beaten up by bullies over and over, pushed Dave to become a superhero.

So he gave himself the heroic name "Kick-Ass" and tried to imitate the comic-book heroes he admired, determined to fight darkness and crime.

But Dave was, after all, just an ordinary person.

The first time he dressed up as a hero, he was badly injured.

That pain quickly snapped him out of his adolescent fantasy.

He realized he was nothing more than an ordinary guy, and for a while he gave up on his dream.

But later, after successfully stopping a robbery, the media and the public became aware of this little crime-fighting superhero.

After that, Dave's unbroken heroic dream woke up again.

He decided to train his body and become even more actively involved in the fight against evil and crime.

Although things still did not go smoothly, Dave, once again acting as Kick-Ass, soon met a real superhero father and daughter.

They called themselves Big Daddy and Hit-Girl, and they had powerful firepower, excellent marksmanship, and agile, decisive movements.

The father and daughter kept targeting the drug lord Frank D'Amico, constantly striking at and destroying his operations.

The drug lord hated these superheroes and wanted them all dead.

So his son disguised himself as a superhero named Red Mist, hoping to get close to Kick-Ass, find Big Daddy and Hit-Girl, and wipe them all out in one go.

A war between justice and evil slowly began to unfold.

The materials Diana gave Hunter were fairly complete, including Big Daddy and Hit-Girl's identities, addresses, school, and more.

But perhaps because her organization was not interested in digging deeper, there was more they had not investigated.

After Hunter finished reading everything Diana had given him, he did not rush to meet Big Daddy or Hit-Girl.

After thinking for a while, using the intelligence far beyond that of an ordinary adult male, Hunter quickly formed a plan.

But before implementing it, he decided to first investigate the Kick-Ass situation a little more.

He wanted to know exactly how far along the Kick-Ass storyline already was.

After all, Hunter clearly remembered that in Kick-Ass, Big Daddy was eventually killed by the drug lord Frank D'Amico because of the immature Dave.

If Big Daddy had now become Telly's father because of the world's correction, then as long as he had not died yet, Hunter would have to protect him, if only for Telly's sake.

With that in mind, he quickly opened his browser again.

He began searching the news from the past few months in New York, entering keywords like "Kick-Ass," "Big Daddy," and "Hit-Girl."

He wanted to see whether he could find any news related to them.

And sure enough, the search engine quickly pulled up a number of results and displayed them in front of him.

Hunter clicked on one of the news items and started reading carefully.
