Chapter 152: The Punch Universe of Pure Kinetic Energy and Infinite Power
Scott was extremely excited.
Ever since he awakened his ability as a child, it had troubled him constantly. The slightest carelessness could bring terrible destruction, harming the people he cared about and innocent bystanders.
After joining the school, Hank had made him this special visor.
Because of that, Scott had always controlled the use of his ability.
He had never truly explored the upper limit of his power.
That had always left Scott with regret.
He feared his own ability, yet also regretted that he could not make it stronger. It was deeply contradictory.
And now, Matthew had opened up this place for him and solved that problem. How could he not be excited?
So after seeing Professor X, Logan, and Jean standing behind him, Scott turned back, faced the empty space ahead, and impatiently took off his ruby-quartz visor.
A blazing, surging red beam suddenly erupted from both of his eyes.
The impact of the two energy beams was so powerful that it tore through the air in an instant. The turbulent energy impact made the surrounding ground tremble faintly, and roaring sounds came from the distance.
Clearly, the replicated school buildings and environment inside the Mirror Dimension had suffered.
The violent waves of air created by it even affected Professor X and the others behind him.
Fortunately, it was not too strong. It was only like standing in front of a fan blowing directly at them.
Seeing this, Logan could not help clicking his tongue. "Whoa. This guy's ability is actually this powerful?"
He and Scott were rivals in love, so they had never really gotten along.
Back then, they had competed over Jean more than a few times.
He had not expected this guy to release such a massive energy beam after taking off his visor.
Logan was not entirely sure whether his adamantium claws could withstand that kind of energy impact. He thought that next time, if there was a conflict, he definitely could not give Scott a chance to release his ability.
"Woo-hoo!"
Cyclops was clearly enjoying himself and could not help shouting.
Jean's eyes widened. She had never expected her boyfriend to have this side to him.
Professor X, on the other hand, was the calmest.
He knew very well that under his leadership, the mutant school was indeed a paradise, peaceful and quiet.
But the price was learning restraint.
Learning restraint itself was not a bad thing.
At the same time, however, it also suppressed growth to a certain extent. Seeing Scott's unrestrained expression, the professor realized that perhaps his teaching philosophy was not very friendly to some children.
Perhaps releasing one's nature was not necessarily a bad thing.
Everyone had different thoughts.
Matthew did not care about any of that. Almost the moment Cyclops released his ability, a red glow flashed through Matthew's eyes, and he immediately "saw" a scene that Professor X and the others could not.
Inside Scott's eyes, there was an invisible gateway.
On the other side of that gateway was an unimaginable, infinite mass of pure kinetic particles.
Countless pure kinetic particles in that dimension seemed motionless, but in truth, they were maintaining a balanced state while moving at infinite speed.
Scott's eyes opened a crack into that dimensional space, and those particles poured through the crack in a wild, unrestrained surge.
Scott's mind contained a special psychic force field, one that coordinated with the power maintaining the holes that had replaced his eyes.
That mental force field surrounded his body, so when particles from another dimension collided with him, it would automatically send them back to their point of origin.
Because of that, his body was protected from the particles. His brain and eyes would not be damaged by the kinetic impact of those high-energy particles when the rift opened.
The mutant abilities in this universe always operated in a way that exceeded scientific understanding, yet somehow possessed a strangely complete structure.
The kind that made scientists scratch their heads.
Fortunately, Matthew was not a scientist. He only cared about the dimension he had captured now.
Matthew quickly formed a hand seal with both hands.
A brilliant magic circle immediately took shape, complex and exquisite, like a fascinating precision instrument.
The magic circle turned into points of light that surged into Scott's eyes, following the rift opened within them and entering the unknown dimensional energy space, then merging into it.
Those pure physical kinetic energy particles could not erase the magical energy. It was as if the magical energy particles had always existed in that universe.
At the same time, Matthew could sense that he had formed a connection with this unknown dimension.
"Perfect."
After finding it and placing an anchor, Matthew was in a very good mood.
One had to know that what he had done was equivalent to setting an anchor in this dimensional universe. In effect, he had become its master.
An unknown, ownerless dimension filled with energy.
Its value and meaning were something not only those sorcerers would covet. Even advanced civilizations, powerful gods, or entire pantheons across the multiverse would desire it.
If an advanced civilization discovered this dimension, it only needed technology to make use of it.
At the simplest level, it would have infinite energy, and infinite energy filled with kinetic impact at that.
If they created some kind of high-tech weapon and used it properly, an entire civilization could rapidly grow, expand, and swell in power.
If swallowing HYDRA and Dreykov had allowed Matthew to plunder wealth recognized among humans, then this time, what he had plundered was wealth recognized in the true sense across multiple dimensions and universes.
Of course, as for plundering Scott's wealth, that did not matter.
In any case, Scott's ability used it in the simplest and crudest way. Even if he used it until death, it would not deplete the dimension in the slightest.
It was better for Matthew to make use of it.
In a cheerful mood, Matthew saw that Scott still looked wildly delighted. Since Scott was suddenly much more pleasing to his eye, he did not rush to make him stop and let him enjoy himself for a while.
He looked at Professor X. "Professor, the transaction is complete. My promise will not change."
"I will find an Eden for mutants."
"A city, a nation, where they can live in peace alongside ordinary people."
"In the future, they will be able to grow up happily, without fear of hunger or discrimination."
How much weight did Matthew's promise carry? When they first met, Professor X might not have taken it seriously. But now, things were completely different.
In just one short year, not only had Matthew's own strength grown to this point, he had also trained a group of warriors with superhuman power, and their number was unknown.
Clearly, Matthew's current influence had already exceeded imagination.
Professor X also believed that Matthew would fulfill this promise, so he was very happy.
He reached out his hand. After Matthew took it, he rarely lost a little composure, his voice carrying a faint tremble. "Thank you. All mutants will be grateful for your efforts."
"Mutants or humans, to me, they are the same. They are all people. Mutant is not a label that should be forcibly defined. Among them are people kinder than humans, and there are also evil ones."
"I will treat them equally."
Matthew smiled lightly.
Clearly, this time, his harvest was not only obtaining a Punch Universe.
It was also the entire mutant race.
Logan and Jean Grey both watched this scene and engraved it in their hearts. Perhaps one day in the future, they would also remember this moment.
No one knew that this handshake would completely change the fate of mutants.
