I Have a God Simulator

Before Luh Yao could make a move, a group of small figures emerged from the crack in the overlap zone, numbering a dozen or so in total.

They were all dressed in black and were looking around.

The nearby Cleaner Fish hamster paid them no mind; it seemed that managing these stowaways wasn’t its responsibility.

Luh Yao clicked on the leader of the black-clothed figures.

Luh Yao thought, ’Perfect timing.’

He now understood. The Skinner had built an Altar in the forest because Altars could increase the Fire of Faith. He wondered how long it would take for this new group of people to integrate into his world.

Luh Yao wasn’t concerned, though.

The civilization of the Pixel World was already taking shape. Any secular being who entered and lived there would be subtly influenced. Over the years, they would become part of the Yao Race’s cultural sphere.

Luh Yao was a little curious about the situation inside the overlap zone.

’Is this group of Bo Race refugees, or an invasion’s advance party?’

Before investigating, Luh Yao needed to ensure the stability of the external environment.

The Cleaner Fish was still nibbling at the edge of the overlap zone, repairing it.

Luh Yao took out the [Friendship of the Cleaner Fish] and shook it on the shore.

The Cleaner Fish stopped nibbling, raised its head to look in the direction of the bell, and a question mark appeared above its head.

After a moment of hesitation, it scurried over.

’This could work.’

Luh Yao was inwardly delighted. This would buy him some time.

This wasn’t a foolproof plan, however.

Then he remembered a Miracle he had that might just work.

Luh Yao consumed 1,000 Faith to activate the Miracle [Rewrite]. He selected the opening of the overlap zone, which was highlighted in green.

’It’s possible!’

He placed this rewritten, fake overlap zone on the ground next to the bell.

The Cleaner Fish, which had been about to return, saw it and pounced, desperately gnawing at the illusion created by the Miracle.

’As expected of an Orange Card Miracle,’ Luh Yao thought. ’It can even fool a World Beast.’

The Cleaner Fish was a lesser creation of Rule Power, and its abilities were beyond question—when it used Disarmament, everyone was helpless. However, it had its own flaws. It lacked self-awareness and was just a tool, a mindless mouse that was all form and no substance.

As long as one figured out its operating principles, it could be exploited.

It didn’t matter if the rules would fix this loophole later; at least it worked for now.

Luh Yao had Isabel stand guard above the overlap zone to monitor the outside, then officially ordered Selena to enter the zone and investigate.

"Yes, my lord!"

A smirking emoji appeared over the Tyrant’s head.

She had waited for this day for far too long!

Luh Yao locked his viewpoint over the Tyrant’s head and entered the overlap zone with her.

In the real world, Luh Yao had once witnessed the overlap zone through Isabel’s eyes. It was a bizarre spectacle formed by two overlapping worlds, a place where all sorts of strange phenomena occurred.

But simplified and compressed by the simulator, the pixelated visuals conveyed none of that oppressive feeling.

This overlap zone was a desert, its sand the color of grayish-brown coal ash. A massacre was unfolding in this ashen desert.

The perpetrators were two Apostles.

One was [Apostle LV37] Karlo. It had a pair of bat-like wings, a withered body, a bizarre triangular head, and a single eye.

Karlo attacked by shooting a green ray from its single eye. Anyone struck by the light would have their body contort and transform into a strange, egg-shaped crystal.

The crystallized corpses were the bat-winged Apostle’s trophies.

The other was [Apostle LV39] Yanihu. He was human in form and carried two greatswords on his back.

A dialog box appeared over Yanihu’s head.

"Pathetic Heretics. The Bos God has shown great mercy, allowing you to crawl out of your wretched mire and become His people. You lowly, speechless vermin actually dare to defy and resist the Oracle. Filth will always be filth."

"Since you dare profane His Divine Power, why do you run? Where can you go? The entire world is our God’s pasture."

"Pray! Despair! Cower in Fear... This is all you deserve."

"Insects are meant to be crushed."

The ones being hunted by the two Apostles were not the Bo Race, but a group of small black figures. The text above their heads identified them as the [Wuzi Race].

The Wuzi people moved awkwardly, stumbling and tripping as they ran, as if they had not yet fully mastered their own limbs.

The two Apostles noticed the intruder and both turned to look at the Tyrant.

Selena requested, "My lord, permit me to clean this place up."

Luh Yao agreed.

’When it comes to things like negotiation and communication, it’s best to have a fight first. That way, both sides are a little more calm and restrained during the actual conversation.’

This was a lesson Luh Yao had learned from numerous Divine Wars.

Having received authorization, the Tyrant attacked.

To her, it didn’t matter who the opponent was.

「In the battle interface.」

The triangular-headed Karlo shot a green ray at her. Selena transformed into a Moonlight Blade and passed through its body.

Four red -152 Damage Values appeared over Karlo’s head.

Then, a light suddenly flashed on Selena. The status [Insight into Flaws] appeared over her head as she struck Karlo again.

A -633 appeared over its head.

After taking consecutive direct hits, Karlo’s body became wreathed in green light. It began to swell as green barriers appeared in the air, as if it were about to enter some kind of transformation phase.

At that moment, Luh Yao saw the triangular-headed Karlo’s body flash red, and a scarlet crescent moon icon appeared above its head.

The mark of an Execution Declaration.

’It’s reached the Tyrant’s kill threshold.’

Selena materialized as a beam of moonlight, landing behind Karlo.

Karlo’s enlarged form split in two. The green light dissipated, and its remains displayed the status [DECEASED].

The entire combo was so fast that the other Apostle hadn’t even reacted before his companion was slain.

An exclamation point appeared over the head of the nearby Yanihu, followed by a dialog box.

"Who are you?!"

"You’re not from the Wuzi Kingdom. Which of the Gods’ Apostles are you?"

"I serve the great Lord [Bos God]! Lord Bos God is an invincible Titled Deity, a Subordinate God of the great [Fearless]!"

Luh Yao felt like he’d learned something new.

’So this is how confrontations between the Apostles of the Gods go.’

’When you can’t take the heat, you declare your allegiance, name-drop the Titled Deity backing you, and try to bluff your opponent into giving you a way out... But from what Apostle Yanihu is saying, is this overlap zone connected to some kind of world-spanning battlefield?’

While Luh Yao was still thinking, Selena’s sword proved faster than her brain.

She faithfully carried out her cleanup mission.

The two greatswords on Yanihu’s back flew out, deftly protecting him as he fought and retreated.

But the gap in both Tier and abilities was too vast. After taking two hits from the Moonlight Blade, Yanihu’s health dropped into the range of [Execution Declaration], and Selena finished him with a single strike.

Luh Yao continued to distract the Cleaner Fish while having Isabel enter and interrogate the two Apostles’ Wandering Souls.

Karlo’s Wandering Soul refused to cooperate, so Isabel slew it again, causing it to dissipate completely.

The remaining Yanihu immediately became much more forthcoming.

Isabel relayed the information in real time.

"The Bos God is a Subordinate God of the Titled Deity [Fearless]. However, this attack wasn’t ordered by Fearless; it was His own initiative."

"He discovered a God, [King Wuzi], who had only recently ascended to the ranks of the Gods. He tried to pilot the World Ship to ram King Wuzi’s, but a piloting error caused turbulence and sent them off course."

"The two Divine Kingdoms collided and became conjoined. Entangled, they were thrown off their original courses and boundaries, and began to drift in Chaos."

"King Wuzi has been losing ground steadily, and the Bos God’s army holds an absolute advantage. His Apostles continued hunting Heretics, eventually entering this overlap zone and killing one of King Wuzi’s Sand People Apostles."

"Yanihu and Karlo were planning to finish clearing out the Heretics here before returning to continue their purge of other areas..."

The two Apostles had chased an enemy Apostle into the overlap zone.

But then Selena showed up, and things ended up like this.

Luh Yao processed this. So, two Gods were at war in there.

’My mistake for intruding.’

’Please, continue.’

He recalled Selena and Isabel. To be safe, he also captured Yanihu’s Wandering Soul to prevent any information leaks. Luh Yao stopped distracting the Cleaner Fish, and the breach was soon stitched up by the hamster.

The Pixel World was whole once more.

For this little dungeon trip, Luh Yao got a Dual-Handed Sword set as a drop from Yanihu.

Getting an Artifact was a nice souvenir from this little dungeon run.

Luh Yao pulled his focus back, turning his attention to the Bo Race people who had entered his world.
