Chui Wujing performed a final inspection on the prosthetic limb, then attached it to the customer’s shoulder using a Meng Rope—a retractable device made from the tongue of a Black Water Mite.

Elder Yan Jiu tested the arm, and a smiley face symbol appeared above his head.

"I’m grateful for such incredible craftsmanship. Otherwise, I would have had to rely on my legs alone for my cultivation."

"I can’t thank you enough, Master Chui Wujing."

The Dwarf instructed, "You must cherish your life. Both of your hands are gone now. This prosthesis can help you, but it can’t protect you from danger."

A smiley face appeared over Chui Wujing’s head. It seemed he had taken a liking to Yan Jiu.

"The prosthesis’s durability will decrease from wear and tear and fighting, so remember to come back for repairs. Live a long life, young man. I want to be able to see my work for a long time to come."

"Understood."

After Yan Jiu came out, he ran into Lie Yu.

After so many years, they had both aged considerably. When they met, they looked at each other, momentarily at a loss for words.

Finally, Lie Yu broke the silence. "Let me buy you a glass of Honey Wine."

Its abilities were identical to No. 2’s, but with 6000 Life Value and 60 defense, its stats were actually stronger.

At that moment, the two Clockwork Monkeys were crafting a suit of Copper Helmet Full Body Armor. They moved so fast, their arms whirling like windmills, that even Luh Yao couldn’t see them clearly.

Beside them, a thought bubble appeared above Philos’s head.

’They’re like born master craftsmen. Their proficiency and precision are just incredible...’

Luh Yao clicked on the Skeleton Man.

How are things?

An exclamation mark popped up over Philos’s head. He immediately knelt and said, "Lord Yao God, the repairs on No. 5 are complete. All its functions are normal, no different from No. 2."

"Ever since its repairs were finished, No. 5 and No. 2 have been like two parts of a whole. They don’t need words to coordinate perfectly, like two fingers on the same hand."

"They lack creativity, but they are extremely precise and fast when it comes to repairs and executing specific procedures."

Just as the Skeleton Man had summarized, the Clockwork Monkeys had their own division of labor.

Now that No. 5 was repaired, Luh Yao immediately shifted his view to the [Golden Field].

The White God had collected three more damaged monkeys.

They were: No. 4, which was missing both arms; No. 6, whose body was split in half down the middle; and No. 1, which had six arms and four legs.

Among them, No. 1’s condition was the most complex.

It looked almost too complete. It had even installed four extra arms and three legs on its back, making it look like some kind of monkey-like xenomorph.

After the White God wound its spring, the word [Chaos] appeared over No. 1’s head, and it began muttering to itself nonstop.

"No. 1 exists. Existence is everything. Everything for existence."

"Order is sacred. Sacred and inviolable. Order must be maintained. Maintaining Order is the greatest mission."

"Clockwork Monkey missing, missing, missing..."

"Cannot build, cannot build. Cannot repair, cannot repair..."

"Calling No. 5, calling No. 5."

"No. 3, please respond. No. 3, please respond."

Luh Yao swept all three of them into his Artifact Bar, then tossed them to Philos in the fortress, telling him to continue overseeing the Clockwork Monkeys’ repairs.

After arranging this important task, Luh Yao turned his attention to the suit of Full Body Armor the Clockwork Monkeys were crafting.

The piece of equipment was mounted on a frame. Having been personally made by the two Clockwork Monkeys, he wondered what kind of functions it had.

Luh Yao clicked on the Armor.

Luh Yao was taken aback.

’So it wasn’t made by the Clockwork Monkeys after all, but a piece of equipment that Philos and Chui Wujing came up with together.’

’The two Clockwork Monkeys are just doing quality control and repairs.’

At Luh Yao’s inquiry, Philos explained the origin of this equipment.

"Mayor Chapman often says that there’s a lack of equipment Ghosts can use. Ghosts have great difficulty touching physical objects, which makes it hard for them to use tools. This limits their potential in many ways, which has been a source of regret for Saniluo."

"More and more Extraordinary Beings are coming to Saniluo, putting immense pressure on Commander Alex, who is in charge of maintaining order. Although we’ve recruited quite a few Ghosts as soldiers in the city, they still face difficulties when it comes to dealing with those massive and powerful Extraordinary Creatures."

"Friction and conflict often arise between Extraordinary Creatures, sometimes leading to outright brawls, and it’s hard for Ghosts to intervene directly... This has been a constant source of frustration for Alex."

Based on these pain points in Saniluo, Philos consulted with Chui Wujing: could they create a piece of equipment that would allow Ghosts to use tools and touch physical objects, just like the living?

They kept experimenting while repairing the Clockwork Monkeys.

In the end, the two finalized a production plan and created the prototype for the Ghost Armor.

This equipment grants a Ghost an external shell, allowing them to regain a physical form inside it, combining the advantages of both the living and the Dead. The armor’s built-in [Intimacy] state also solves the communication problem between Ghosts and normal people.

At the same time, the Ghost Armor also provides a good amount of Life Value—or rather, a special damage resistance.

The initial version of the Ghost Armor was very cumbersome and greatly reduced a Ghost’s speed. Only after continuous, precise adjustments by the Clockwork Monkeys did it reach its current, relatively balanced state.

"...Lord Yao God, I have been focused on repairing the Clockwork Monkeys. I only used the time in between to create this equipment with Chui Wujing."

Philos seemed somewhat apprehensive.

Luh Yao gave Philos high praise.

Upon receiving the praise, a huge exclamation mark appeared over Philos’s head, which then transformed into an oversized smiley face.
