Under the [True Sight Curse], the Southern New Continent held no secrets.

The only question was whether Luh Yao was willing to pay the corresponding Faith cost.

After the Forest Elemental Creatures arrived, the entire Southern Continent was thoroughly scouted.

Under Isabel’s command, wolf packs searched every tree and patch of grass, lynxes checked for any clues in trees and caves, and Jungle Giant Lizards traversed rivers and tidal flats, inspecting anything suspicious.

This operation frightened the forest’s native little people. The local Wild People had never seen such a spectacle—vast groups of Extraordinary Creatures moving in—and they fled in terror all the way to the coast to hide.

The locals wanted to escape, while outsiders were desperate to get in.

Adventurers, Scholars, and merchants from the Western Continent, full of ambition, came to this unclaimed land in search of new wealth, opportunities, and knowledge... which led to a series of subsequent encounters.

The forest army’s sweeping search located the Elf Lake culprit.

It was none other than the Tree Demon, Jody.

Luh Yao locked his view onto Jody.

He decided to observe her for a while first, see what this strange Tree Demon did all day, and then decide how to deal with her.

From all the Symbiotic Forests of the Southern New Continent, only this one Tree Demon was born. In other words, she was, in fact, the Extraordinary will birthed from all the Symbiotic Forests combined.

Luh Yao watched as the pixel person Pawa appeared, leading out a team of Dwarfs, as well as Tonghai, whom he hadn’t seen in a while.

Then, the whole situation took a strange turn.

As Pawa and Jody verbally entered into a marriage contract, Tree Demon Jody gained her own [History], and Pawa’s history also gained a new entry.

—At the age of 27, married the Tree Demon Jody and received the blessing of a divine Miracle.

—At the age of 827, married the human Pawa and received the blessing of a divine Miracle.

When a 27-year-old meets an 827-year-old Tree Demon, it doesn’t always end with them being eaten.

Luh Yao was also a little excited.

In the past, Salt Geller and an ordinary little person had given birth to the Salt Race. ’This time, what kind of offspring will be born from the natural union of a human and a Tree Demon?’

Isabel appeared, conveying Luh Yao’s forgiveness and blessing.

Luh Yao noticed that his population and Faith counts hadn’t increased, however. It seemed these Elves were still categorized as ordinary monsters and couldn’t directly provide Faith or population.

The Elf Lake revealed its complete form. It became fuller, and a curved rainbow appeared over its waters.

Dying Elves return to the lake, and new Elves are born from it.

[Lake Treasure Chest]

The Elves craft treasures in the lake, place them in treasure chests, and give them to close friends of the Elf Race. The quality of the chest and its generation speed depend on the Miracle’s level.

Treasure Chest Monsters!

Luh Yao decided to see what would come out of these treasure chests.

His view remained mostly locked on the Elf Lake, only occasionally switching to the Divine Hall to check on the Apostles.

After waiting for about an hour and a half, the [Lake Treasure Chest] finally triggered.

A plain-looking wooden chest floated in the lake.

Luh Yao clicked on it.

An illustration of the wooden chest appeared in the center of the screen.

The chest rocked from side to side, and its lid swung open automatically, revealing a burst of white light from within.

A silvery-white gemstone popped out of the chest.

Luh Yao was a little disappointed.

It was a treasure, to be sure, but not the Faith-based equipment he was hoping for.

This gemstone couldn’t even be placed in the Artifact Bar. He could only select it with the mouse and place it in different areas on the screen. It was just an ordinary treasure that the pixel people would like.

Then again, this was just a low-level Miracle, so it was unlikely to produce a powerful Artifact.

But without a doubt, the [Elf Lake] had great potential for development.

Luh Yao placed the Moonstone back into the now-empty chest, which closed and continued to float on the lake’s surface.

He had a feeling.

The Elf Lake would soon become a popular hotspot for Adventurers; after all, there was real treasure to be found.

While Luh Yao was still pondering this, Adventurers had already arrived.

Two pixel people saw the sparkling Elf Lake and the treasure chest floating in it.

"Treasure!"

"That’s treasure, right?"

"Let’s grab it first and ask questions later."

The two Adventurers took ropes and hooks from their backpacks. Taking positions at different angles, they used their grappling hooks to try and grab the treasure chest on the water’s surface.

But the treasure chest moved left and right on the water, constantly dodging them as if it were alive.

Question marks appeared over the Adventurers’ heads.

"Why is the chest moving?"

"Could it be a monster instead of a treasure chest?"

"Doesn’t seem like it. If it were a monster, we’d both be dead by now."

"True."

"So, should we keep trying?"

"Of course we keep trying! Hurry up, it’ll be trouble if someone else shows up!"

They jumped straight into the lake and swam over to the treasure chest. This time, no matter how it tried to dodge, it couldn’t escape their grasp and bear hugs.

The two Adventurers dragged the treasure chest ashore, and large smiley faces popped up over their heads.

"What a huge haul today!"

"Let’s open it!"

They started prying the chest open with their hooks, their movements looking very practiced. This made Luh Yao a bit suspicious of their former professions.

Luh Yao clicked on the little people.

Looks like some former cellmates decided to team up and go into business together.

Luh Yao watched the two little people with great interest, preparing to give them a little surprise the moment they succeeded.

Before the God could make a move, two burly figures shot out of the lake.

Each of these burly figures was twice a man’s height, with green skin, a bald head, and bulging muscles. They flanked the two Adventurers opening the chest, looming over them.

The two little people trembled with fear.

"Who are you people? What are you doing!"

"In broad daylight, with the God watching, are you trying to rob us?"

The two Green Giants slapped each Adventurer across the face, grabbed the treasure chest, and returned to the lake.

This left the two little Adventurers staring blankly, question marks hovering over their heads.

Luh Yao couldn’t help but laugh.

Those two Green Giants had [Great Elf] displayed above their heads. They were a type of Elf, with far greater Combat Power than the Little Elves.

The treasure chest may float in the lake, but one must be on good terms with the Elves to be worthy of taking it. Otherwise, this is what happens.

A new Era meant new ways of treasure hunting.

Treasure hunting was no longer about fighting and killing; it was about connections and social graces.
