Chapter 51: Facing the Blonde-Haired Vampire
Without the slightest pause, the man immediately counterattacked. His hand moved toward me at a drastically increased speed, and in a single motion, his fingernails extended, transforming into sharp claws that faintly gleamed beneath the dim light, aiming straight to tear my body apart without hesitation.
I dodged just in time, my body shifting to the side with quick reflexes, leaving my previous position within a fraction of a second, just enough to avoid the attack that nearly struck me.
I could even feel the faint gust from those claws passing extremely close beside my body.
In the same movement, my hand rose again without delay, and then a spider web shot straight toward the man’s head.
This time, the attack was launched from a closer distance with an angle that was difficult to avoid, taking advantage of both momentum and my favorable position.
The web hit its target perfectly. The man’s face was instantly covered tightly by the sticky layer of webbing, causing him to lose his vision immediately, and his movements halted for a brief moment in confusion.
The man quickly reacted violently, his hands moving fast and aggressively, no longer controlled, as he tried to tear away the web tightly attached to his face, pulling and ripping at it with all his strength.
That was what I had been waiting for, the small moment when the man’s attention was completely distracted. I leaped forward without hesitation, closing the distance between us in one swift movement.
My hand immediately reached for the man’s head, grabbing it tightly without giving him even the slightest chance to escape.
My fingers then pressed hard against the man’s head, my grip tightening further, making sure there was no room for him to move freely, not even a little.
My entire body focused its strength into one point, my muscles tensing simultaneously, my breath briefly stopping, and my focus narrowing completely toward a single goal.
I tried to twist the black-haired man’s head, my movement fast, firm, and merciless—an attempt to end everything before he could turn the situation around and counterattack.
However, just as I was about to finish it, something felt different. There was a subtle change in the airflow around me, extremely faint, yet clear enough for my trained instincts to notice.
That sensation was not just an ordinary night breeze, but pressure moving rapidly with a clear direction, heading straight toward me while carrying a real threat that could not be ignored.
My reflexes moved faster than my thoughts. My body immediately turned without hesitation while both of my hands instinctively rose into a defensive position, my muscles tensing as I prepared to withstand the incoming impact without warning.
A moment later, a punch struck me with tremendous force, coming from the side at a speed that was difficult for the eyes to follow.
The impact felt heavy, far stronger than I had expected. My entire body shook from head to toe, forcing my feet to slide from their position. In a single instant, my breath caught in my throat while my concentration shattered immediately.
The collision felt incredibly heavy, like a solid object crashing directly into my body without mercy.
The force of the attack was so immense that my body was violently thrown backward without me being able to resist it completely.
My feet dragged across the rough rooftop surface, while my shoes scraped harshly against the concrete, creating a short grinding sound that echoed sharply through the silent night.
Small sparks of dust scattered beneath the soles of my shoes as my balance instantly faltered.
I nearly lost my footing at the edge of the rooftop, the tip of my foot only slightly away from the edge of the building, while below, a dark abyss stretched open with no visible end.
The faint city lights in the distance only made the abyss beneath the building appear even deeper and more terrifying.
For a brief moment, the world seemed to tilt, my vision swaying faintly as my body leaned backward, and the cold night wind immediately slammed against my face from below the building. I almost fell straight into the dark emptiness beneath the rooftop.
My reflexes reacted instantly. The muscles in my legs tightened hard to withstand the remaining force from the impact, while my body desperately tried to regain the balance I had nearly lost.
With great effort, I steadied myself, the shoes I wore gripping the concrete surface as firmly as possible, preventing my body from slipping even slightly.
With one small but controlled motion, I quickly pulled myself away from the dangerous edge of the rooftop.
I stood upright once again, though my breathing felt slightly heavy. My chest rose and fell faster than usual, while the lingering vibrations from that blow were still clearly spreading throughout my body, especially around my shoulder and chest, which had taken the hardest impact.
A dull pain slowly began to spread, but I forced myself to stay focused.
My gaze immediately shifted toward the source of the attack. The other vampire had finally started moving, and judging from the aura surrounding him, he was most likely far weaker than the black-haired vampire from earlier.
The blond-haired vampire was now completely free. The web that had previously wrapped around his body was no longer intact, leaving behind only thin fragments hanging weakly from his shoulders and arms, like fragile scraps of cloth that had already lost their purpose.
Some parts of the web were still stuck to his clothes, swaying slowly in the night wind.
The man's gaze immediately locked onto me, cold, sharp, and filled with killing intent so obvious that he did not even bother hiding it.
His red eyes faintly glimmered beneath the moonlight, making the pressure he emitted feel far more real.
Damn it, now I have to face two of them at once.
However, in the very next instant, I realized something important.
The black-haired vampire had not completely broken free yet. He was still busy tearing apart the web covering his head.
His hands moved roughly, filled with anger as he tried to destroy the restraint blocking his vision.
The black-haired man's movements looked slightly hindered, not as fast as before, although it was obvious that his strength continued increasing with every passing second.
The sound of the web tearing apart could be heard faintly, while the man's aura slowly became more oppressive around the rooftop.
An opportunity.
Without waiting any longer, I immediately moved. My body shot rapidly toward the blond-haired vampire, my steps light yet full of power.
Every step felt firm as the distance between us disappeared within seconds. The night wind struck against my body as I accelerated without the slightest hesitation.
Without wasting time, I immediately swung my fist with all the strength I had, aiming straight at the blond-haired man's face. The speed of my punch was so fast that the air around it seemed to split apart faintly.
However, this time, my opponent was ready.
The man blocked my attack with precise timing, his arm moving quickly to stop my punch just before it hit its target, and almost at the exact same moment, he immediately counterattacked without leaving even the slightest opening.
The counterattack came with equal speed, perhaps even sharper and more aggressive, forcing me to react without pause.
I immediately twisted my body to dodge before the next strike came toward me again.
Attack after attack began to collide between us, creating loud, sharp sounds that continuously echoed through the silent night.
Fists and arms clashed endlessly, while the force behind every impact could be felt all the way to the bone.
Every punch we threw carried tremendous power, enough to crush bones if it landed directly.
