As the White Spider-Man in Earth-76 with the Spider-Man System

Chapter 50: Facing the Two Vampires

Without any hesitation, I moved. My body leapt from where I stood with a strong and controlled push of my legs, shooting swiftly through the cold night air as I slipped into the shadows of the towering buildings surrounding me.

The darkness became my ally, cloaking every movement perfectly, making my presence nearly invisible as I shifted from one point to another with steady speed.

In one smooth motion that felt like pure instinct, a web shot out from my wrist, slicing through the air before firmly attaching itself to a concrete structure in the distance. Without hesitation, I pulled myself forward, letting the momentum carry me into a high swing across the empty space between the buildings.

The movement felt seamless and efficient, as if my body had long grown accustomed to this rhythm without needing to think about it.

The night wind struck my body with force, brushing against my suit and creating a pressure that I could clearly feel against my skin, yet I maintained my balance effortlessly, adjusting my posture naturally to every shift in direction and speed.

No movement was wasted. Everything felt precise, as if each swing had been carefully calculated from the very beginning.

My motions were light, controlled, and nearly silent, as though I had done this countless times without ever making the slightest mistake. Even my breathing remained steady despite the high speed.

My eyes stayed locked on the target, refusing to let my focus waver even slightly, despite the chaos below that had not yet fully subsided.

The two vampires were still on the rooftop. Their positions hadn’t changed, and their full attention remained fixed on Blade, who was still fighting down below, showing no sign that they were aware of my presence.

The distance between us gradually closed, giving me a significant advantage to approach without being detected.

I landed softly on the other side of the building, almost without a sound—only a faint friction that was immediately swallowed by the night wind. I quickly lowered my body, taking cover behind a tall concrete structure that completely concealed me from direct view. From this position, I could observe them without worrying about being seen.

From here, the distance wasn’t too far—close enough to launch a fast and precise attack—but I didn’t rush to act.

Instead, I chose to watch them for a moment, reading every small detail: their posture, the direction of their gaze, and the patterns in their movements with careful attention.

There was a calmness in their demeanor, but beneath it lay a clear tension, like predators holding themselves back while waiting for the perfect moment to strike without giving their prey any chance to fight back.

I narrowed my eyes, trying to measure their strength just from the subtle movements they displayed.

If they were cunning vampires, then I had to be even more cunning. Slowly, I lowered my body further, keeping every movement smooth and controlled to avoid making even the slightest sound.

Even my breathing was carefully regulated—slow and steady—blending with the rhythm of the night wind around me.

The first strike had to hit its mark. It could not fail under any circumstances, because the moment they became aware of my presence, the situation would turn into something far more dangerous.

Something that might not give me a second chance to correct any mistake.

From my higher position, I watched the two vampires below with full focus, my gaze tracking every small movement with precision—from the way they stood, the subtle shifts of their weight, to the almost imperceptible changes in their line of sight.

I controlled my breathing slowly, maintaining a steady rhythm, each inhale and exhale clear within my chest, while my mind remained calm and fully focused, undisturbed by anything around me.

I waited for the right moment to move, holding myself back from acting too hastily even as the opportunity drew closer. Patience was the only way to ensure that this attack would proceed perfectly, without giving them even the slightest opening to fight back.

That moment finally came—a small gap that was almost imperceptible, lasting only a fraction of a second when their attention split, when the two of them briefly lost synchronization for the shortest instant.

Without the slightest hesitation, I acted immediately. My body moved faster than my thoughts, as if the reflex had long been ingrained deep within me, requiring no conscious command.

In an instant, both of my wrists lifted in a sharp yet controlled motion, and webs shot forward toward the two vampires, cutting through the distance between us with near-perfect precision.

My movement was so smooth and precise that it was almost invisible to the naked eye, leaving behind only a faint sound slicing through the night air, like a sharp whisper that passed in a second before disappearing.

The black-haired male vampire was the first to notice my presence. His head snapped toward me, his movement sharp and reflexive, while his eyes narrowed in my direction, radiating a surge of heightened alertness in an instant.

However, his awareness came too late. The web I released had already wrapped around his body, binding him tightly from shoulders to legs, restraining every movement even as he immediately struggled with unnatural strength, causing the web to tremble faintly.

On the other side, the blond-haired vampire didn’t even have time to react at all. He was completely caught in my web, his body instantly ensnared without meaningful resistance, as if his mind lagged behind what was happening.

I didn’t waste a single moment. With a quick and light leap, my body shot down from the rooftop toward the black-haired vampire, using the height as additional momentum.

The wind struck my face more forcefully as I descended, pressing against my skin and causing my eyes to narrow slightly, yet my focus remained locked onto the target without the slightest wavering.

He was the first to notice me—that meant he was more dangerous than the other. My instincts made that clear, issuing a silent warning that he had to be taken down first before he could turn the situation around.

As I descended, I could see more clearly how his body tried to resist the binding of my web. His muscles tensed, his movements rough yet powerful, showing that his strength was not something to be underestimated.

I landed right in front of him, my feet touching the ground with a light yet stable impact, creating a short sound that was nearly swallowed by the night wind.

Without giving the slightest opening, my fist shot forward and slammed hard into his face. All the force I had gathered was channeled into a single, precise strike, hitting his cheekbone without hesitation.

The impact produced a dull sound that rang clearly in the silence of the night, its brief echo seeming to bounce between the surrounding buildings. His head was thrown violently to the side, and fresh blood burst from his mouth, forming red splatters that stood in stark contrast beneath the city lights. Yet instead of weakening him, the blow triggered something else within him.

The web binding his body began to tear. Its fibers snapped one by one, the faint sound audible at close range, like threads being forced apart under relentless pressure.

The strength within the vampire’s body surged dramatically. The change was unmistakable even at this close distance—his muscles tightened far more than before, his veins bulged visibly, and in an instant, he managed to completely free himself from the restraints that had previously held him.
