Chapter 890: Little Sun (II)
"Oh no, it’s not good. The house where Boss Lei has been resting collapsed!"
"What?"
Xiao Wu’s heart skipped a beat. What the hell happened? Who attacked the Lei family house? Don’t tell him that Lu Yin actually went crazy and attacked the Lei house to kidnap Lei Qian? Fortunately, all the Lei family members were at the hospital, and no one was at the villa except Lei Qian. Even if Lei Qian was unconscious, at least he would be able to escape the tragedy, but the same could not be said about the rest of the Lei family.
He turned to look at the underling behind him and snapped at him, "What are you looking at me for? Go and check out what is going on. Make sure that no one steals Boss Lei!"
His baby was about to make an appearance in this world; they could not allow another woman to steal him!

Though he had something to say, he still pursed his lips and nodded before rushing toward the Lei family.
On the other hand, Bai Meiyue also noticed that there was something amiss. It was clearly night and yet somehow, the sky had lightened up. She frowned and paused in her stride, but then her stomach contracted and a sharp pain shot through her entire body. She looked down at her belly and felt a little resentful, what was going on? In her past life, her son did not trouble her like this. What was going on? Why was he acting so stubborn all of a sudden?
However, no matter how angry and upset she was, Bai Meiyue had no other choice but to grit her teeth and continue walking up the stairs. Finally, she returned to the third floor, and the nurses helped her to the delivery room. When they arrived at the delivery room, Bai Meiyue looked at the bed, and suddenly she felt like crying. For some reason, the bed looked quite high.
She turned to look at Shen Zhen, hoping that the woman would help her, but who would have thought that the woman would simply smile at her and say, "There is no point in looking at anyone here. We are not going to help you. If you want to climb up the bed, then you will have to do it on your own."
Bai Meiyue gritted her teeth when she heard her response. She looked at the bed and sighed. It was the last step; there was no way she could ignore it, could she? She gritted her teeth and then made a move to climb up on the bed. At that very moment, she was in so much pain that she could no longer remember the past or present. Maybe it was because she was used to living in peace and comfort all these months, compared to her past life, which was why she was not used to the pain that she was going through at the moment.
"Come on, Yueyue. The child has developed fairly well; it seems like his head is bigger than usual. But don’t worry, you can do it. After all, you are strong."
Shen Zhen was already set to deliver the baby. She propped Bai Meiyue’s feet on the stands at the end of the bed and asked the nurses to push the cart with the medical instruments over. When Bai Meiyue heard Shen Zhen’s words, she curled her lips into a painful smile. Honestly, she too wanted to push the child out of her belly, but then she realised that the baby was too big! In her past life, she did not have enough nutrition; thus, the baby was not big at all. In fact, her son was so small that he resembled a weak kitten.
But now, with all the good things at her home, was she still worried about going hungry? Of course not; she had eaten her fill, and the baby in her belly was more than just fat.
Shen Zhen placed a mask on her face and looked at the woman, who was lost in her thoughts. "What are you thinking? This is no time to think about anything. You need to start working."
Bai Meiyue sucked in a breath and nodded. However, just as she threw her head back and started pushing, there was another burst of light. However, Bai Meiyue was too busy screaming to worry about anything. However, what she did not know was that as soon as she screamed, something shot up in the sky from the centre of the explosion. With a bang, that thing landed in front of the clinic. The sound was too loud and the thing caused the entire area to be filled with dust and debris.
"What is that?"
Lu Yin, who was not far away, picked up a pair of binoculars and looked at the little sun that jumped in the air and then landed in front of another building. But just right then, the light disappeared and everything turned dark just as it was earlier, as if there was no light at all in the first place.
Lu Yin frowned. What was happening? What was that little sun? How did Bai Meiyue get her hands on such a weird thing? It even caused the entire group of human-faced spiders to be destroyed in one big sweep. It seemed like there was no such thing as completely defenceless when it came to Bai Meiyue.
She turned to look at Master Ning and said to him, "Let’s go. I don’t know what that thing was but it seems like Bai Meiyue is not completely vulnerable at the moment."
When Master Ning heard her response, he was rather unwilling. He had not yet got his hands on the king snake and the other two snakes; how could he leave just yet? He did not want to. But when he thought about the defences that Bai Meiyue had in her safe base, he knew he could not do anything to her. Gritting his teeth, he could only turn on his feet and retreat.
