═══════════════════
I looked through my status window since I didn’t have much to do while lying in bed, being nursed by that damned pink slime.
Honestly, a lot of things had changed in it and yet at the same time, nothing seemed to have changed.
For starters, my physique had grown by two minor ranks and I had finally reached a level that everyone started at by default. Even my mana capacity had increased by a minor rank.
The Talent I had copied from Seles had been added as a passive skill instead of an actual Talent but all of those things were within the realm of my expectations.
Even gaining the active skill of Ragnarok was expected since I had used it for the first time and it had acted in a similar way in my last life.
But what I hadn’t expected were four completely new things.
Three attributes—Life, Soul World and a whole damn question mark—that I couldn’t understand the meaning of, along with a new refinement technique made entirely of question marks as well.
Even the things that weren’t question marks seemed difficult to understand.
Life and Soul World.
What was Life even supposed to reflect? Was it my lifespan? Was it my life force or was it something entirely different?
Soul World was something I understood the meaning of but I didn’t understand what it was doing in my attributes.
I had built my Soul World nearly a month or two ago, right after I first started practising Celestial Singularity Art.
So, why did it appear now?
And then there were the two question marks.
One in the attribute window and one in the refinement technique window which didn’t even have any names for even beginning to understand them.
And no matter how much I focused on all four of the newly added sections, only one line appeared.
[EFFECT OF SEED OF CREATION]
My Eye of Usurper refused to show any more details than that as if itself didn’t know.
Like, what the hell was I supposed to understand from that?
And wasn’t my Eye of Usurper connected to the records themselves?
So why was there something even it couldn’t read?
Or was it hiding that information from me deliberately because I was too weak?
I couldn’t understand any of it, so I gave up on the questions for now and pushed them to the back of my mind with the pile of other mysteries.
There was no point in stressing over useless questions when I had no way to get their answers at this point.
Instead I focused on something, I did have answers about and that was Seles’s copied talent. Immediately the details appeared in front of my eyes.

⟐ Passive -
⟦1. Uncanny Adaptations: A Talent once possessed by The Serpent but copied by a Demon King. The Talent originally increased the adaptability of the user’s body, mind and soul to any environment gradually over time. However, after being adapted to the twisted soul of the Demon King, the Talent gained an additional effect. During battle, the user has a random chance to attain enlightenment from the world itself.⟧

As I expected, the ability did seem underwhelming at first glance, but the hidden effects of it were beyond anything I could have gotten at this point.
Even Seles had never actually used it much since her Talent in battle wasn’t much to brag about but she did utilize the mental aspect of it the best.
Still, in the hands of a proper warrior, it could have even greater use since it could slowly adapt their body to better suit battle after battle.
To me, it was even more useful.
My body was as weak as it could get and having something which would help me adapt seemed useful.
But more than that, my Soul World had all kinds of things in it and would have even more once I started copying the True Names of others, so this Talent was absolutely necessary to keep my soul from crashing or mutating.
I was especially thankful for it now after that strange island had appeared in the middle of my Soul World.
Who knew what effect it could have had?
But now, with my Uncanny Adaptation, I didn’t really need to think much about it because whatever it was, my soul would naturally adapt to it.
Not to mention, even the additional effect of the Talent sounded too great. I mean, having random enlightenment from the world meant... countless possibilities in itself.
Once I was done checking my status window again, I nodded in satisfaction. I was still weak as fuck compared to my previous life, but...
Whatever growth I had achieved was nearly a hundred times greater than what I had achieved in my last life at this exact point in time.
And a man’s gotta be happy with small gains, doesn’t he? Especially when the same man had also secured dates with his loved one.
With those thoughts, I turned towards the pink slime healing my body.
Rwar hadn’t engulfed me like before because my injuries weren’t as severe but the suspicious gaze she had been giving me this entire time was still the same.
Honestly, at first, I had no intention of talking with her so soon like this. Hell, I was even sure that Lily wouldn’t reveal her existence to me this soon but now that she had... it was the perfect time to erase Rwar’s useless and ridiculous theories about me, which I was sure she had plenty of.
She looked like she had many things to say but didn’t know where to start and seeing her like that, a smile appeared on my face as I started with her favourite topic.
"By the way, Ms. Rwar. May I ask what kind of flowers Lily adores the most?"
I knew the answer by heart but to impress a mother, you have to talk about her daughter.
And exactly as I had expected, the moment I asked the question, Rwar took the bait. Her eyes perked up and she finally opened her mouth to speak.
