Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All

Chapter 258-The Night Of Celebrations

Verity:

I had also been wondering how I was going to keep Jaguar at a distance because we’d already been intimate, and all the distance between us was gone.

After this, I had no excuse left for not making things official with him.

But thankfully, he gave me a reason himself.

First, that rude man started smoking in a closed room.

Then, even after he realized I’d woken up because of the smoke, he kept puffing away in the room.

That was when I saw a new side of Jaguar. It was as if, now that he’d slept with me, he thought he’d finally gotten me.

When he threw that same virginity issue in my face, I put on a whole act in front of him, pretending I was hurt.

The truth was, I wasn’t.

I had given my virginity to my mate, and even though I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to meet him again, I was still the happiest I’d ever been.

Because unlike all these people, my mate was different.

So no, I didn’t feel bad about it. But Jaguar had given me the perfect excuse himself.

After getting him out of the room, I went to take a shower. Just then, my phone started beeping.

I checked the message.

Alpha King Theodore: I cannot stop thinking about you.

I raised an eyebrow as I read his message. Then my eyes moved to the time. It was four in the morning.

There was no way I was going to have another session with another Alpha King.

Jaguar had already left me sore down there.

I mean, my mate had done an even worse job the other day.

I didn’t think I could handle another powerful man between my legs.

However, as I stood in front of the bathroom mirror and stared at myself, guilt suddenly started washing over me.

I had no issue cheating on Jaguar. I had no issue playing with the brothers.

But my mate? What if he found out that after sleeping with him, I was going around sleeping with others?

Tears started flowing from my eyes.

Because at that point, I realized my life would never be normal.

I had to avenge my brother, and for that, I would have to remove the idea of right and wrong from my mind.

The next two days were extremely busy for me.

I was completely occupied with work. I had to plan a beautiful birthday celebration.

Otherwise, Lady Lucille wouldn’t let me stay for the next event, which was Jenna’s mating ball.

At the same time, I was getting really anxious. Jenna wasn’t interested in anything.

I’d decorated the royal hall beautifully for her in pink and purple and had already sent out all the invitations.

She was rejecting every gown. From purple to pink, she’d rejected everything.

She didn’t even like coming out of her room to talk.

What else could I do? I was starting to get anxious.

In just a few hours, her birthday celebration was going to begin.

Today, the day had finally arrived.

Her birthday officially began at midnight, but the celebration was planned for that evening.

I was running around taking care of whatever small tasks were left.

Thankfully, because of that, I hadn’t been able to meet Jaguar or Theodore either.

Although Jaguar had sent me question marks two or three times, I ignored him.

Ragnar had taken the brothers somewhere for meetings.

They had back-to-back meetings, so we were all going to see each other again today at Jenna’s birthday event.

"Leave her hair open," I told the hairstylist as I walked into her room.

She nodded before starting to style Jenna’s hair into princess curls.

Jenna sat in the chair in front of the mirror, wearing a beautiful peach gown with light makeup and red lipstick.

She was staring at herself as if she’d never seen herself before.

The sight of her made me anxious.

"Do you like your gown?" I asked Jenna, walking over to stand beside the mirror.

Without looking at me, she simply nodded.

"I have a request," she spoke.

And I liked it. It had been ages since I’d heard her speak.

"Sure, tell me. What is it?" I asked as I placed my hand on her shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze.

"Can you— can we please finish the birthday celebration before midnight?" she requested.

Her eyes started to get watery almost instantly.

"Why? Do you have to be somewhere?"

I didn’t know why I’d asked her that question so openly, but it seemed like she wasn’t hiding anymore either.

She just gave me a smile.

"No, I have to study," she said without putting much effort into making it sound believable.

"Yeah, sure," I said, though I didn’t understand why.

It was five p.m. now, and everybody had gotten ready. The brothers were going to come home soon and change into their suits.

"Anyway, get her dressed up—" I was speaking to the hairstylist when Mrs. Bundy arrived, wearing a green gown.

"You don’t need to tell the hairstylist anything. I’ll take my own daughter to the grand hall," Mrs. Bundy said, keeping her chin up and speaking to me as if I were her maid.

"Okay, I’ll go get ready," I said, excusing myself and walking out of the guest wing.

That was when I saw Jaguar arrive, wearing a grey suit that made him look absolutely delicious.

I hated myself for even thinking about it.

The minute our eyes met, he smiled very softly. But I felt weird, extremely weird.

Like I wanted to hate him. I mean, I did.

But for a split second, it felt like I was coming across a man I’d slept with and had feelings for, which wasn’t the case.

I almost bumped into a chair, stepping toward it before I caught myself and walked around it.

"I’ve come here to help Lady Lucille to the grand hall," Jaguar stated, informing me.

However, I didn’t stop. I just nodded and rushed past him like my tail had caught fire.
